The best restaurants serving Indian food in Street South Mendip South West

What a wonderful find! Our dinner was delicious, atmosphere brilliant but was made it for us, were the fabulous staff! So helpful and lovely, thank you all! Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic food . All the food was cooked with care , it really was delicious. I haven’t had food that authentic since visiting India. Staff were very professional and friendly. Would throughly recommend. We will be returning very soon.

We had booked a table and was greeted at the door on arrival and shown to the table. The restaurant was fairly busy and the atmosphere was vibrant.we had to wait a little while for our drinks and a menu, The staff appeared to be a little disorganised but friendly ( this is a new venture and has only been open a few weeks ) The food was tasty and nicely presented with ample portions. Good Covid hygiene was in evidence . As an Indian restaurant this ranks as one of the best that I've visited for food outside of London A must visit for all those that enjoy good food.

Had a fabulous dinner outside - it's all authentic Indian food cooked on the premises, compliments to the chef! The staff were wonderful, very helpful explaining the menu. Can highly recommend!

Went for a meal with friends (6 of us in total) after a busy day. Food when it eventually came was very good. However the service was appallingly slow. We had to ask at least 4 times to place our order for main courses, having waited for at least 15 minutes for our initial drinks to arrive. We had been in the restaurant for an hour and a quarter before our orders were taken! After our meal, we again had to ask repeatedly for the bill. Eventually we gave up and went up to the till to pay, only to have to wait another 5 minutes for them to work it out. Very disappointing, clearly understaffed. A meal out shouldn’t take 3 and a quarter hours.

Food was delicious and looked amazing. But for me, going to a restaurant is all about the experience. And my days, they were flipping brilliant. Amazing hospitality, incredible welcome from the beginning, attentive, generous and a sparkle of humour thrown in! They were great and definitely will be going back.

Having been encouraged by some positive reviews, we gave this restaurant a try. The lamb was far from tender. The sauce tasted ‘strange’. The naan bread was only half cooked - it just tasted like dough. The waiting staff are very pleasant, nice people but the place is let down by incompetent cooking. Needless to say, we could not eat more than a couple of spoonfuls - which was definitely a good thing, as Montezuma’s revenge struck the following morning. Terrible.

Lovely food, reasonable prices, take away or home delivery. If waiting for your food pub next door. Jointly run with king kebab so two menus to choose from.

Had a munchie box from this place which was huge, as expected mostly fried things in a munchie box. Would have been nice to have some tandoori chicken not fried in the box just to mix it up, however had chips and a pot of korma sauce and the sauce was amazing really tasty. Quiet a busy place so would order in advance

We ordered a takeaway through there own app for food to be delivered, ordered processed and money taken, time slot came and went and nothing, tried calling and couldn’t get through, drove down to the restaurant to find it has closed down!!!!! It is still up and running on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
