The best restaurants serving Indian food in South Lakeland North West

We came here last year when we were staying nearby and it was amazing then and again this March. The staff were fantastic, food awesome. One of the best Indian meals we have had. Thanks again.

We were very warmy greeted. All the staff seemd very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We opted for the set meal for two and every course was freshly cooked and served piping hot. Very tasty meal which we thoroughly enjoyed and would cetainly return again.

Visited with 5 mates for an evening meal. None of us had ever eaten at Barua before but had heard good things. Wow, we were not disappointed!!!! Firstly, the staff here made our night what it was before we'd even ordered our food. The lass who looked after our table was brilliant. So helpful and really good at her job. Sorry, I've forgotten her name. The food was next level. We asked the manager Kal to recommend a selection of food for our table, and he nailed it. We all absolutely loved it. Thanks to everyone, we will be back. So different to anything else on offer in the area. Xx

I have recently moved to the area and decided to try a takeaway. I love a Biryani, but not had any Indian food since my trip to Rajasthan in April. The dish was excellent. The best Biryani I have had in a very long time.

Very good service. Not expensive. Very nice food. Had a small issue with one of the courses which as sorted out immediately with a smile and no fuss. Would come again

Great curries, tasty And flavoursome. Fast service And helpful staff. They recommended different food fór us to try, So we could taste as much as possible.

I’ve known Tony for many years, Good kind hearted straight up Man, The quality of food has always been on point, i’ve read the reviews am astonished with some, it can only be from competition, or sad deluded people, genuinely been going their for 25 plus years, the lads their are great food has always been good!! I suggest you try it for your self💯

The food was so good . The staff were amazing too. Super friendly and chatty . Any negative reviews about the food are absolutely false. These guys are great .

We had read the reviews and looked like this was a good place to try .Called to pick our Indian up and I have never had anything taste so tasteless .It was nothing like it should have been .Chips were steamed and soggy the nan bread was chewy .The rice we order I honestly no idea what that was it was like packet rice done in the microwave That's us hungry as we were staying here for a couple of nights and it was too late to get food anywhere else .

Really good authentic Indian food. Lovely little restaurant and really good quality for the price you pay. We arrived early for our booking but a table of walk ins arrived and we were asked to leave promptly after finishing our meal which was fine it was done in a nice way.

Food and Service very good. If anything needs changing it is a tweak in the decor as it is very stark due to the cold green wall lighting which could be easily sorted with a different bulb to create a warmer feel but other than that it is a nice restaurant. No complaints.

Good amazing food and great delivery!

From the moment we walked in we were made very welcome. For a thursday night there was a good number of people already eating. Didnt have to wait too long for food to start turning up. Place was very clean and food was immaculate. We will certainly be returning next time we are in The Lakes. Cant recommend this place enough
