I'm a support worker and one of our service users likes and chooses himself to come to the. Really enjoy their atmosphere, service and food. They are also very accommadating towards service users with severe learning disabilities. Highly recommend giving them a visit. We were served by the very friendly Minhaz and team.

Food average.Waited nearly 2 hrs for meal with 2 children and then asked to write a review with a flick of a card.Said the review wouldn't be good and was completely ignored and not even an apology.Never had such bad service.wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

Had a fantastic meal on bank holiday Monday. Easy to book table. Greeted warmly on arrival. Quick service for drinks order. Nice extensive menu with plenty of specials. Chef was happy to adapt a meat version to a paneer version to make my favorite madras dish into a vegetarian option (but obviously this may not always be possible). The flavors are well balanced, from the great onion bhaji to a hot madras. The rice dishes are packed full of flavors too. We had vegetable rice, and garlic rice (lovely roasted garlic taste). The service was attentive, and friendly ( thanks Shah!). Staff clearly love the food and can help with reccomendation. The prices are great for the quality served, and portions are perfect. Would really recommend a visit!

I really wanted to give this 5 stars as the owner was so warm and welcoming but unfortunately I couldn't :-( The mains were excellent! Palak gosht, muttonwala and Kabuli lamb. Lost in translation: I ordered onion bhajis for 6 and got 6 portions! I'll be eating them for a week lol. The garlic naans had no garlic or butter and the parathas unfortunately were inedible. I actually make them at home and they should be soft and flaky not solid ugh. I might go back if in Ulverston and dine in instead of taking away....might.

My first time dining at Aroma (inspired by Macmaster's review) was an absolute delight. The entire team, from stepping through the door, we're incredibly polite, attentive, and good humoured. I requested something off the menu (a spicy chicken tikka masala), and was surprisingly with "vindaloo or madras level?", rather than what I normally get ("no"). The dish was an absolute delight. All in for pappadums, pickle trays, any starter, any main, and a naan bread (spectacular bread, extremely fresh), it came to £18.95 on the happy hour (5pm-7pm) deal. Minhaz looked after me the entire time, and couldn't do enough to ensure I had everything I needed. A credit to the team. Strongly encourage anyone in the area who loves Indian food to give this place a try! I'll be returning very soon

We ordered a paneer tikka masala and a paneer korma, paneer wasn’t an option listed for the curries but they were more than happy to do this for us. Both curries were really nice and a good sized portion. We also got a peshwari naan bread which was really good, shared between the two of us. Fast and friendly service too!

We had a party of 7 without a booking and they seated us immediately, everyone’s wine was lovely and we all had something different from the selection. Dr. Shah “The Great” looked after us and the service was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious. The bhindi bhaji was gorgeous, and all of the different curries were amazing. Will definitely return!

Shah was brilliant. Super informative about the variety of dishes .Koyes made us very welcome and Minhaz was exceptional with the service. All round super food, service and atmosphere. Congratulations to the chef Hussain superb food.

Good was lovely from start to finish everything was very fresh and served hot. Only thing is the front door, if your sat down stairs anyone coming in and out (which is constantly) the door constantly bangs i know it's minor but just not great when your sat beside the door. Very affordable will 100% be back

Lovely meal at Aroma in Ulverston last night. King prawn puri to start and south Indian garlic chicken for main course. Both absolutely delicious. Good, friendly, efficient service from the 2 guys taking orders and serving. Will return. Definitely worth a visit.

I've changed my rating to 4 stars due to the slow service. I've visited a couple of times recently, and on both occasions, the service was noticeably slow. On one visit, we had to ask to place our order after waiting at the table for quite some time. On another occasion, we were seated upstairs in an overspill area on a busy Saturday, but the service there was particularly slow. At one point, my friend was struggling with the spiciness of a dish and asked for water, but it never arrived. It might be better to limit the number of diners rather than compromise on service quality. That said, the food is consistently tasty and competitively priced, which keeps me coming back.

We visited this Bangladeshi restaurant due to the positive online reviews and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent. The servers were passionate, knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer our questions. We ordered the set meal for 4 which was delicious and reasonably priced. If you're in the area this place is definitely worth a visit.

Great food but let down by the wait, I rang in my order and was told twenty minutes. Ten minute drive and a least twenty-five minutes wait in the restaurant.

Everything about it was superb!! Four of us went and and less than twenty pound a head with a couple of beers , and would have paid double that , it was that good ! Nans to die for

We booked a table of 6 sat night we come for a friends birthday meal we was placed sat by the bar and it was the best meal we eaten out… we was entertained by the girl at the bar and then treated like queens by a man at the bar who seemed to be the manger or owner as he was on the go no stop .. we realised through the meal it was her partner.. they was amazing at working as a team and how they made each person welcome and made everyone laugh we will be returning it was a lovely night thank you

Visited Aroma for my birthday, 10 of us dined with them we were all very impressed! We felt very looked after all throughout the night the staff kept checking on us making sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious and all fresh! We were served by Elvis and Shah they were incredible staff they even gave me a birthday present which was so kind of them both. We definitely will be back!!

The food was nice apart from the fact me and my partner both asked for spicy mains, they gave me a standard butter chicken which I asked them to make hot kept coming up to the table taking things away that we wasn't finished with, specifically told them i wanted to keep the chutney tray but obviously not allowed. On arrival quoted happy hour and they tried to charge me full, this is twice they have done that now on two separate occasions. More bothered about making sure people leave them a review, handing out cards all the time. Also the disgusting table of 5 they seated next to us when some women repeatedly talking about diarrhea while I'm trying to eat me bland butter chicken! Which was boring enough without listening to her drone on No thanks won't be returning the bengal rose is well better

We dined at the aroma last night, we booked a table for 2 for 6.30 we were shown to a table upstairs the room was freezing everyone had there coats on, I said to the person that showed us to the table it was very cold and he said that he had put some heating on.i must admit that I have never seen a heater so small. The service was cayotic to say the least and the food not much better wish we had stayed in.

Aroma thoroughly deserve their recent award! The food was all sublime, we had a set meal for 4 and from the poppadoms and pickles, through the starters to the mains and accompaniments...each dish was fresh, tasty and served by attentive and amusing waiters. We will definitely be back!

What a fabulous takeaway we were only visiting area for 3 days really good

We ate in the restaurant. The curry was great - the flavour was rich and a great variety of options. However the service was chaotic - we were asked the same things multiple times by different waiters, drinks and food were slow and the waiters could be quite snappy to the point of rude. They seemed overwhelmed, like they couldn’t cope. Plus the space felt cramped with too many tables.
