The best restaurants serving Greek food in London

We were about to book a visit to Vasis, and have learned it has closed! We are devastated. It was such a cosy, old-fashioned Cypriot Greek place of the type we adore. All the favourite dishes, not too "modern" style which is so off-putting.. all that minimalist decor and fancy food "design" that I loathe... three chips in a little flower vase .. raspberry coulis on the plate spelling out "You're a mug" round the tiny chop... :-) Nothing like that at Vasis... oh well, there's that nice place near the British Museum...

We absolutely loved the food and atmosphere here, we’re super sad to see this placed closed. Thanks to the team for the great service and we hope to see you open up again! Thanks for introducing us to quality Simit, we try to find a replacement everywhere we go!

Fantastic food and wine for an exceptional price - best thing about it was the service. Would recommend here to anyone. 10/10

Ate here on a Sunday - service good and food generally ok, but the veggie option of wild rice and garlic is really poor. It just tastes like a bowl of rice with teriyaki sauce on it! Please rethink that, especially for the price. Also, the kitchen had a radio playing different music to the restaurant area and we could hear this most of the time - that isn’t good for customers.

Vi en el sitio web de Trip Advisor esto y Pope Street, pensé que esto no podía ser correcto ya que Nico cerró y todo el lugar fue restaurado para abrir como Pope Street. Si desea comer en este lugar, mire las reseñas de Pope Street y decídase. Como residente de New Eltham comimos en Nico's varias veces, pero aunque estoy seguro de que está bien, el menú de Pope Street no es atractivo, así que no he comido allí

Really tasty street food in perfect surroundings. The chicken gyros was fresh and delicious. Would definately come here again.

Visitar o mercado de Camden Town é algo que todo visitante deveria fazer ao ir a Londres. Várias comidas, várias opções de compra, várias pessoas! Tudo misturado em um mesmo lugar!

We had the sharing platter and it was lovely. Lots of food and even the salad tasted good. Will definitely go again in the near future.

Troodos is no more as it has closed for business. Shame as it used to be very busy in the late 90's to the noughties. The couple who ran it were very nice and its a shame that they have now gone out of business.

I have been coming to this authentic Greek place for a few years. This place is frequented by real Greeks. You can hear Greek voices in the background. Before Covid, they used to have two premises - 167-169 Farringdon Rd, London EC1R 3AL used to be a grocery store, bakery with deli. Across the road was a simple Greek food eatery serving souvlakis. They now have tried to combine everything into a single premises. The food is a little more expensive, then it used to be, but it still has the same great taste. 'Great' is now more of a casual restaurant. They still make souvlakis and have a good selection of starters and main meals. They also have a selection of deli item to buy from the fridge. I loved the bouyiourdi - this is a baked Greek Feta with tomato. (I am not a fan of Feta, but I loved this dish. Yummy!). I will be back next time I am in the area!

It your looking for good decent traditional Greek food this is the place to go! It's a small restaurant but the food is the best thing about it and its reasonably priced in comparison to other places in the area .

Mate loves going and took me.. Another mate raves about it.. Friendly staff.. Food good and prices good
