The best restaurants serving Greek food in London

We were about to book a visit to Vasis, and have learned it has closed! We are devastated. It was such a cosy, old-fashioned Cypriot Greek place of the type we adore. All the favourite dishes, not too "modern" style which is so off-putting.. all that minimalist decor and fancy food "design" that I loathe... three chips in a little flower vase .. raspberry coulis on the plate spelling out "You're a mug" round the tiny chop... :-) Nothing like that at Vasis... oh well, there's that nice place near the British Museum...

What a fabulous restaurant, we had a seasonal end of year meal and they catered for ALL our dietary needs, Halal, Coeliac and just some fussy eaters.... The food was exceptional and all food was hot, quite a challenge for a group of 39 being fed at the same time. The portion sizes, quantity and quality was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and we were looked after and made to feel we were the most important people in the restaurant. Wonderful friendly staff, I would highly recommend this restaurant, thank you for an evening that will sit positively in our memory banks for some time - thank you.

We absolutely loved the food and atmosphere here, we’re super sad to see this placed closed. Thanks to the team for the great service and we hope to see you open up again! Thanks for introducing us to quality Simit, we try to find a replacement everywhere we go!

Fantastic food and wine for an exceptional price - best thing about it was the service. Would recommend here to anyone. 10/10

Ate here on a Sunday - service good and food generally ok, but the veggie option of wild rice and garlic is really poor. It just tastes like a bowl of rice with teriyaki sauce on it! Please rethink that, especially for the price. Also, the kitchen had a radio playing different music to the restaurant area and we could hear this most of the time - that isn’t good for customers.

Without reservation on a Saturday evening, we had little hope that we would find anywhere decent to have dinner. A love of Greek food though encouraged us to take a chance on Ousia, just down the road from where we were staying. We were greeted...

Simpatican ambijent, prekrasna hrana, moja obitelj i ja smo jako zadovoljni hranom a i uslugom! U pozadini ugodna mediteranska glazba! Odlicno!

Tienen muchas tapas, incluyendo algunas que nunca habíamos oído hablar, pero la camarera pacientemente nos explicó todo. La comida era excelente, pero todo viene en pequeños tamaños.

The food was awesome! We went with the mix grill for 2, and it was a lot of food. We did our best but came up short. Everything was perfect. We tried the fried halloumi cheese, it was awesome.

Vi en el sitio web de Trip Advisor esto y Pope Street, pensé que esto no podía ser correcto ya que Nico cerró y todo el lugar fue restaurado para abrir como Pope Street. Si desea comer en este lugar, mire las reseñas de Pope Street y decídase. Como residente de New Eltham comimos en Nico's varias veces, pero aunque estoy seguro de que está bien, el menú de Pope Street no es atractivo, así que no he comido allí

Really tasty street food in perfect surroundings. The chicken gyros was fresh and delicious. Would definately come here again.

Visitar o mercado de Camden Town é algo que todo visitante deveria fazer ao ir a Londres. Várias comidas, várias opções de compra, várias pessoas! Tudo misturado em um mesmo lugar!

Ate here with my wife, absolutely amazing , the pork souvlaki was the softest I’ve ever had, and believe me tried all over the world! Done on charcoal , taste was perfect! Even took two more for takeaway back to Derbyshire!’ Will return!

Fabulous place, great menu!! Had a superb meal, food done to perfection & as ordered. All specific requirements met … Amazing service by Andry which made a lovely experience even better. Would definitely recommend

Very friendly welcome, homely feel to the place. Had feta and sauce with pitta which was warm and soft. Followed by mixed Gyros which was amazing. So flavoursome I forget to take pictures.
