Lovely food as always and service delivered quickly lovely staff cant wait until restaurant opens for the lovely entertainment and food also service

We had a take away Meze in April with Georges Grill , it was starters Dips , vegetables , spicy sausage , white bait , kalamari , main dish was Grilled meats , Chicken , Lamb , Pork filling cheap and ok , nice one George Thanks will order again Tim C

Came here for dinner on a weeknight. It’s a big restaurant and unfortunately it was empty when we got there, that’s a good thing for us but not so good for the restaurant, it was a weeknight in January though. The restaurant is nice and clean inside with plenty of tables. All of our food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable too

Went to George’s for dinner last night. Asked about gluten free options when I called to reserve and they could not have been more helpful and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious meal with Frank Sinatra entertainment. I will be booking here again soon.

This place was empty the whole night. Food was mediocre. Not bad but nothing special. Prices were alright though.

Ordered Sunday dinner after a hard days work at 8.40 waited and waited only for them to cancel order at 10.50 too late to order anywhere else. Wasn't short of delivery drivers as i was watching over 10 drivers turn up only to then go without my order. So disappointing.

Being part of a large group we were very pleased with the service given. The food excellent too. Staff friendly and efficient. Enjoyable evening last Saturday 16th Nov. Thankyou.

Attended a friends birthday and had a good time. If I’m being critical I think the drink prices were steep but food good and price matches the quality. Staff super friendly and George was also attentive. Would I go back.....big fat yes.

My brother and I noticed when walking past that they offered moussaka on the menu. So we tried the restaurant out the next night. The menu was good including choices for a non meat eater like me. I had falafel starter and swordfish mains, my brother had calamari starter and moussaka for mains. We both enjoyed our meal, our waitress was lovely, the owner took the time to check that we were okay and all in all we had a good evening. Maybe next time we will try one of their music nights.

Having enjoyed a couple of work Christmas parties at George’s, we decided to sample the regular menu and found the service very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. I recommend the Gigantes for vegetarians and my other half can vouch for the stifado and kofta kebabs. The halloumi is lovely and the generous bread basket is always good.

Visited this restaurant for a birthday meal the entertainment very good. (Jersey Girls) Staff are very welcoming and helpful nothing is too much of an ask. Food is fab very authentic best Greek I've tasted in London by far.

I came here for a meal with friends, but found the people serving me not really dressed appropriate when serving food . The guy who served us our food I assumed was the owner was wearing a scruffy thick baggy jumper with the sleeves rolled up , Jean's and black shoes which looked like paint all over them. Very unprofessional. Wont be going back .

A fantastic evening was had by all! First we sat and had a superb three course meal, then a DJ played some great music and we danced til closing time! The food was delicious, fresh, proper Greek food.. the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful - could not do enough for us and brilliant with the children. They worked so hard and so efficiently. The DJ was great fun and so entertaining. He even had props!! The venue was comfortable and homely - the air conditioning was a big bonus! George was an absolute gentleman - very kind and very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant - especially for larger groups and parties. It is Wellings secret gem!!! Heard mixed reviews from friends & read a few good and bad ones online, decided to try for myself for a birthday treat with family. Having eaten at George’s last restaurant I had high expectations, sadly nothing comparable at all. Decor is sparse, rustic & in need of repair, especially toilets. The area out the back could do with a clean & tidy, felt grubby & tired. The food quality was varied, we had both meze & main meals on our table and bits were good and bad. Cold

I went with a group of friends at Xmas. Was lively and had good music but was very loud so couldn't really talk but this didn't overly bother me as its a Christmas party. The food was ok but nothing amazing. The service was terrible as we asked for drinks which didn't come, so we asked again which I appreciate its loud and it's not the end of the world but the waiter blamed us and said we didn't ask. Then some friends left early and paid their bill. At the end of meal we worked out what we all owed and paid remaining bill plus a tip. Which the waiter said he wanted to query this and get his manager. When the manager arrived he also said we had under paid by 50 pound or so. We all got our reciepts out and calculated the bill plus what my friends had paid when they left early. Which showed we didn't owe any extra but had over paid with a tip. I wouldn't mind but the waiter and manager just walked off didn't say sorry and left the lovely waitress to deal with it. The waitress was very lovely and pleasant and apologied. It's not the end of the world as mistakes happen but to accuse us of under paying when it's not my responsibility to have to go through all the reciepts to prove I'm not ripping them off. It was very busy night and you had to wait up to half hour to get any drinks. However we did have a laugh. The desert was the best bit. The main was lamb which was nice but was dry and only small amount of sauce. My partner had fillet salmon which was meant to have no bones maybe odd bone but there was loads of bones which he spent ages removing the bones. One of my friends are vegan and they didn't have any vegan deserts which they agreed to give her a shot. They brought two shots although she didn't ask for two as they said they would give her one. Then they tried to charge her for it and she did tell them when the brought it that she didn't order second shot but was told its fine and she won't be charged. I would of went again as I get Christmas are busy they are making so much food for parties but the service and how some of staff treat the customers puts me off and found it very rude and annoyed me how it took me 20 minutes of debating and getting my calculator out to prove I had actually given a tip.

Went here a couple of years ago, but this was our first opportunity to return. If I have one small complaint I would like the restaurant to be a little more cosy. But not sure how you can do it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food menu is very well balanced with a couple of unusual dishes. But the regular Greek dishes are there for those wanting security. Portions are really good and well cooked. Worth a visit.

Eat here regularly both with family and friends and the food is always good. Also celebrated a very big birthday there and they couldn't have been more helpful.

Visited George’s on Friday evening for a Christmas meal.

After going to this venue on Friday I can categorically say the only decent thing was the disco later in the evening. The food was disgusting . The kleftico was overstewed mush and the chicken in a cream sauce looked like it had come from a tin. Out of 7 people eating only 1 ate their food which was mediocre salmon. Visiting another Greek restaurant last night made me realise how poor it was.

Having gone there for the first time over the weekend, and after hearing positive things, would honestly never return there.

Not really impressed, I went there for the works Xmas party in a group. We were told to get there for 7pm and food would be served at 730pm. We got food at 8pm. We paid 25.00 in all and the food was average at best. The rice I got was not fully cooked and lamb was tasteless. Then to top it off, all of us who ordered cheesecakes were told there was not enough to go around. In the end, we got the digestive crumble with favored foam cream on top. The music and DJ were okay but the smoke machine nearly choked us. The tables were to close together so it was difficult to get out of your seat. The toliets, oh dear ONLY two. I will go there again

Ordered a meal at 8 o'clock was on the table at 9 15 bottle of Greek beer £5 30 As for the toilets filthy the restaurant is a joke Marks out of 10 a big ZERO

We went to George’s Greek restaurant last night for my sister birthday, there was five of us. When we got there for 8 o’clock it was empty, about 15 people in there. After waiting for about 20 minutes we had to ask for our drinks, then when we got our drinks they were not what we asked for. Now to our food we ordered, we asked for two of the meals not to have the rice and have chips instead. After over an hour wait, out comes the meals yes with rice and no chips.bearing in mind we had just told the waitress we never wanted the rice, chips instead. She then says she is sorry but can get us some chips but we will have to pay for them. So I said don’t worry about it we will eat the rice. I could understand making a few mistakes if the restaurant was busy but it was empty. We went to George’s instead of our normal Indian or Chinese, after reading the good reviews, we all thought we was in a different restaurant, it had no atmosphere the service was very bad. We will not be returning and would definitely not recommend.

Food good, atmosphere brilliant. We went to one of their entertainment nights. The eve was a great success and would definitely recommend.

We first went to George's in April for my Nan's 75th Birthday - they were so good to us, amazing service, amazing food, AND SUCH GOOD VALUE!! The portions are huge and all so so so tasty and so cheap?! Its crazy good!

It was payday and myself and partner were looking for somewhere to go and we came across George’s so after looking on here we booked a table.

Went here last night 12th May for a joint 40th, 50th and 70th birthday celebration. My sons food was forgotten about, when they finaly did bring it out luckily I pulled open a chicken nugget to blow it and to my horror the chicken was still raw!! They replaced it but by this time all the other children had finished so he didnt want it. Then to add insult to injury, my main meal was forgotten about and when I raised it with our waitress her attitude absolutely stunk!! The manager apologised and refunded me but thats not the point. My son could have been poisoned and the waitress couldn't have cared less!!

went to George's Saturday night 28.04.2018, for the Greek Night. as per usual food staff could not be faulted. fabulous atmopsphere. our 12 year old granddaughter,loveed throwing the plates. Well done everyone

After being let down by one restaurant for our wedding anniversary meal I had to quickly look for an alternative but it had to be Greek, thankfully I found George's Bar and Grill in Welling Kent, I did little asking around and only heard good things about this place - so I booked it with no issue and a friendly voice on the phone, when we went there OMG what Jewel in the Crown, this has to be one of the loveliest Restaurants we have ever been too, friendly lovely staff with a passion for ensuring you visit is the perfect one, clean tidy and warming venue, and the food was absolutely gorgeous, we eat out a lot and Greek is one of our favorite food, having visited Greece many times, my Wife's favorite dish has always been Stifado and she settled for that at George's and her comments are she has never tasted one as good as this outside Greece, I had mixed kebab and can only echo my wife's word, we even had the pleasure to meet and have a night cap with George the owner, a true lovely friendly Gentleman - George's Bar and Grill we Thank You for making our evening the wonderful experience it was,

Can’t thank George and his family enough. We celebrated our sons 18th at George’s. The food was amazing, staff were wonderful and the DJ fabulous. Highly recommend George’s. We had a set party menu and everyone enjoyed all their food. Bar staff were brilliant too!

Ive been here quite a few times now once was at christmas and a few times on weekdays for evening meal which was fairly quiet. Weekends are busier havent been when the dj is there but will get round to it.

Great food great service. Met George again after last seeing him in the Bexley Greek Taverna. Will be visiting again regularly.

A group of 11 of us went for a birthday. The restaurant is just lovely, they have a dance floor and a DJ who plays Greek music as well as English music. Quite a few people were up dancing. There's quite a few tables but at no time did we feel hemmed in. The food was delicious with very generous portions. Some of our group had a starter and main course and just couldn't finish the main. The rest of us had Meze which, again, we couldn't finish as there was so much food. Two in our party were vegans and the waitress was great at assisting them to select vegan dishes. And of course they also serve lots of vegetarian dishes too.

I’ll be honest - I’ve frequently passed this resultant and never went in. Tonight my partner and I decided to try it out.

Very quick. Nice big falafel wrap. delicious lots of falafel hummus garlic onions :-) Waited around 5mins. Attentive staff very kind and polite.First time visiting this resturant. enjoyed it and it was delicious. very filling.

Day out shopping in Welling with my family. Decided to have a quick bite at George's bar and grill. we bought four falafel wraps. Made very quickly and great customer service. The falafel wraps were not a 'bite' but were delicious, of generous portions and very filling. I would definitely recommend this place. Hope to visit again.

Had dinner with a friend early evening on a Thursday. Only six people in there until we left so very little atmosphere. However it was early and not a "popular" night. Service was very good and food excellent. We both had the Sea Bass and it was superb. Wine list reasonable and priced well. I will go again on a more busy evening when I would expect (on what experienced tonight) an excellent rating.

Served by a friendly waiter who had food dribbled down his T-shirt! Asked for Moussaka but only had vegetarian option which I was happy to have, wasn't expecting to have a bland re-heated version that gave me an upset stomach all night! My friend had Kleftiko served with rice and Aunt Bessies roast potatoes! Should have scarpered soon as we realised we were the only ones dining...my advice is don't bother to waste your time or money :-(

After going to George's old restaurant in Bexley village for a number of years we missed the old atmosphere after George left, well move over old atmosphere and say hello to the brand new concept. Firstly I have to say the menu is the same as the old one which is great as we've always loved the food George and his team have produced but let me tell you the entertainment has had an upgrade, on our visit Chris was comparing/djaying and what fun it was he had us up GREEK dancing and then spun some tunes for the rest of the evening. On the night we went George's son Stavros was in charge and what a chip of the old block he is, everything was fantastic, if you want a truly fun evening with great food George's bar and grill is a must! Family of 5 kids ages from 12 to 20

A true meze, plenty of dishes and lovely hot pitta bread. When we asked for more of certain dishes as we had scoffed the lot, no problem. We went on a Thursday evening which was quiet but from about eight there was a lovely girl singer who would put some contestants on X Factor to shame. Very reasonable too which was a definite bonus.

I Have probably been to George's around six or seven times in the past calendar year as it is quite local to me.I have taken friends & family on some of these visits And they have always enjoyed the great food and good service. Unfortunately on every visit it is has always been fairly quiet and very few customers in the restaurant, so lacks a bit of atmosphere.I Know that they have evenings where there is entertainment and hopefully a full house, so maybe I should book for one of these nights as the food & service is always great. would just love to see the place a bit more buzzing. We were a group of 16 with mixed ages 2 disabled, difficult getting in front door for elderly and wheelchair, floor uneven in restaurant and disappointing not seated all together 2 separate tables and we were served has separately so some was finishing as others starting. Food was good staff polite and helpful.

After reading the excellent reviews, we went with friends to this restaurant. The service and the food was excellent. We would definitely return.

We were a group of ladies who came for an evening get together at Georges--it was an amazing evening and lots of fun.The belly dancer was fantastic and got everyone involved--we all agreed what a stunning performance!The food ,service and ambiance is amazing and we were impressed by George`s hospitality and the performance of Maria the dancer.

Came here for a meal my mother's birthday. Food was amazing and the staff could not have been friendlier. After we had finished our meal they came out and surprised her with a slice of cheese cake (on the house) with candles and started singing happy birthday which really made her night. Been here several times, food is plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced, service excellent and all staff are very friendly - watch out for theme nights, greek nights and disco (with a small dance floor) make this an excellent night out in Welling.

Great afternoon at Georges. My party of 12 we're very well served. The food is absolutely gorgeous and there's no shyness when it comes to the size of portions. The meze is a must for all. Thank you for a superb feast.

Myself and a few of my comrades visited the Taverna on a recent 'Greek Night' for a friends leaving meal. Little did we know what we were in for! The food was absolutely sublime and the service was top notch, with the owner George's son even sitting down and having a very pleasant chat with us at the end of our meal, turns out he's a lovely young chap! There was traditional Greek music played and the DJ also threw in some tunes for those who fancied a little boogey, as well as plate smashing and a belly dancer to top it all off! All in all I had a fantastic experience at the Taverna and will definitely be visiting for another Greek night in future, it was fantastic value for money!

If you're looking for quality Greek food then George's is the place to go. When we phoned to book a rather large booking they were very accommodating and had no issues accommodating my disabled little brother who uses a wheelchair. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is absolutely superb, the meze starter was fresh well presented and for your money the portions you receive are wonderful! We had a very enjoyable experience at George's with great entertainment on that night and plenty of space to have a dance! Value for money and an excellent night. Would recommend and definitely visiting again.

Me and 15 friends came here for a birthday meal after hearing other people talk so positively about the restaurant. We booked over the phone which was really easy. Staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. The food came quick and it blew away all expectations! A lot of variety and by far the best Greek restaurant in the area.I would highly recommend.

We wanted to have our daughters 2nd birthday party at a restaurant for around 80 people. We decided to try a local restaurant and hoped our guests would be pleased with the food as that was our main concern (being Albanian). We were not let down by this as the food was great and we had plenty of it(we tailored our own plates and portions). The only minor thing was the size being a little too small for us to dance. Apart from that everyone was pleased!

We came in a group for a special Greek Night here---it was a great night celebrating a friend`s birthday.The food was delicious and we were entertained by an excellent DJ.The highlight of the evening was the fantastic belly dancer---she was incredible and really got everyone involved.It was wonderful to see such a great show from an excellent dancer with a drummer accompanying her. We can recommend George`s to everyone--the food is good and the staff are lovely.

Went there a couple of time. Once in a crowd and once as a couple.In the crowd it was busy and so I didn't expect much. Went there after as a couple and to be honest not good then either. The staff were not very good. The food took ages and was not hot. Would I go there again? probably not. Lots of other restaurants in the area better

Nothing special, starters were ok - usual choice of mezze. The mains arrived with a tired salad and boring potatoes. Certainly wouldn't rush back!

Although this restaurant is about 20 minutes walk away from where I live, never been there but decided to give it a try for a 40th birthday, party of just four. Food was big portions and very nicely cooked, each of us had a different meal and starter and there were no complaints from any of us. During the course of the day I had taken in a balloon for the table and a birthday cake. The birthday cake came out just before we decided to order our dessert without any reminding. DJ night and he was very good, took any requests. Would recommend and we will be back sometime. Thank you to all staff.

We stumbled across this restaurant when searching for somewhere to eat following a hospital visit and were actually heading for the fried chicken shop opposite. Good decision to abandon that idea. Food was delicious and fresh, and lots to choose from, lovely staff - attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be going back perhaps for a Greek night or tribute night. Highly recommended.

Poor food poor service not to be repeated as was such a bad experience.The Kleftiko special was at least a week old as was the Mousaka salads just poor quality very sad asmany places to eat on that stretch

You have got to try this place. We are quite fussy with where we eat but had been recommended this place. We were a party of 17 aged from 5 to mid 70's, to celebrate our sons 18th birthday. We had the full Meze . There was so much food! All of it tasted wonderful. The staff were all very obliging and couldnt do enough for us. There was no rushing to get us out (like some other restaurants). Can't recommend this place highly enough. Very family friendly. We shall return.

Went as two couples tonight and we were very dissapointed with both the service and the food. At 9.30pm there were children running around, so noisy you could hardly have a conversation. The food was poor quality, I was asked by the manager if everything was ok and I had to be honest and point out about the poor service and food. He was apologetic and offered us drinks but we declined, would I reccomed this restaurant... no I wouldn't.

Visited here again and was excellent , the kleftico was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and I enjoy coming here a lot , I do recommend this restaurant and thanks to George and his team they make my visit every time perfect. !!!

We had a fantastic time here at georges last night ( 12TH December ) food was good and very tasty good value for money, and had disco after was a lovely night there was ten of us and all enjoyed our Christmas night out thanks George and staff. I would recommend georges forward a good night out and good food certainly will b returning next year for our Christmas night out.

Really up for this anyway as a chance to meet with 2 friends I don't see often enough. Beautifully (but not too lavishly) decorated for Christmas. Staff friendly and welcoming - and sooo good-natured clearing up when I managed to knock over an almost full glass of mineral water!! Said: 'Good job it's not red wine' but implied that might have brought us luck! Food soon arrived with beautifully served, generous portions, piping hot where it should have been - and most of all it was absolutely delicious. Its crowning glory was being very reasonably priced - and lots of choice. Will be back asap!! Highly recommended.

We regularly have lunch here, amazing value with s good choice of mains and a drink included! Our face is the vegetable casserole and the chicken kebab, highly recommended! Staff excellent!

Admittedly, we came here because our first plans fell through - we went to Saray Restaurant down the road and it was just awful service so we left. But I'm so happy that happened because we found a little gem in this place!The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. All of the food we ate was beautiful - especially the halloumi and humus! We all had mixed grills for our mains and they were such generous portions. Everything tasted amazing. The manager overheard us talking about my birthday and brought out a piece of cake with candles in as my dessert which was lovely! He also gave us a shot when we got the bill. He made us feel very welcome and we all had such a good night there.We will definitely be back! If it looks empty in there, don't be put off - go in anyway. It's top notch!

Eaten here at least 3 times, food & service very good I thoroughly recommend.excellent value. Mousaka is great as are the kebabs and puddings, paklava with ice-cream my favourite

I have eaten here twice now, both times it was early in the evening, around 6pm. Both times were quiet and the service was very quick. The staff were very friendly, shook your hand on leaving, thanked you for coming in. Could not fault the food. There was only two of us, and we were only there for tea really so can't really comment on the atmosphere or how it would be if you were making this your whole evening.

Staff always make us feel welcome. The manager has been very helpful in the past, helping my vegan daughter find new things to eat, by bringing her tasters.

Me and a friend visited this restaurant just a few weeks after the grand opening. We previously visited a Punjabi restaurant in plumsted "apni havenli" and we was rather Impressed so this time we have decided to try Greek food which we had never really explored, we started out with a bottle wine which was rather delicious. After a glass each we moved on to our starters then on to the main course which was of course moussaka and it was extremely delicious and made my tastebuds tingle. So yes of course I would recommend it 100% to everyone else to wishes to explore the Greek food In welling.

Visited George's on a Saturday night with another couple. Atmosphere was very good, quite lovely and a little noisy. Extensive menu which covered every type of Greek food that you would want. Portions were huge and the food was very nicely cooked and presente well. Only 2 waiters to serve the whole restaurant and serve the drinks, no bar man. This made it quite slow but also meant that we weren't rushed between courses. We were over charged for our drinks but when it was pointed out they em over the extras without any argument. I think it was a genuine error due to the lack of staff. I have recommended it to friends and will definitely go back for more.

Menu choice is good, house wine is very palatable and reasonably priced. Have only eaten here a couple of times, but have enjoyed it on both occasions. Would certainly recommend the trout and the tuna. We may try the maze next time as we will certainly be returning. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great atmosphere and homely feeling restaurant.George and staff always very welcoming.Food is very nice and never disappoints! Very reasonable priced for quality and portion size.

Went with three friends. Two of us had the Meze for starters, which could easily have been a main meal as well as there was so much of it. But..... we had ordered a main meal after it. Very tasty food, and plenty of it, also very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and ensured that we were happy with our meal, which we were.Parking in side roads near to the restaurant.The only thing missing was a bit of Greek dancing,but there's always another time!!!!

A beautiful clean restaurant with a delightful and attentive staff. The meal was well presented and very filling. It was rounded off by a complimentary brandy for me and an amaretto liquor for my wife. This was a birthday treat for me from my wife and completed a fantastic birthday.

We had a party of 32 and had the meze which was nothing short of fantastic ! Food was hot, fresh and kept coming!! Was thoroughly enjoyed by all and even accommodated couple of vegetarians even tho forgot to order veggie meals! We love this restaurant, staff are friendly efficient and so accommodating. Could not recommend highly enough to try! Best restaurant in the local area for a great fun night out with reasonable prices! After the meal we all danced the night away to a great disco !
