Lovely restaurant. Nice staff, great food - very tasty and seasoned well. And ample portions.

Second visit here, staff friendly and accommodating. We all enjoyed our food, and had a variety of dishes. Excellent location, as it is situated across the road from Leytonstone Station. Parking outside if it is after 4pm, but spaces go fast! If you fancy chicken, lamp chops, kebab, halloumi, fish etc there are lots of choices.

Shows up as delivered but it hasn’t. No call received from driver

The food was delicious. Good selection of food. Surprise of flamenco night which added to the evening.

We visited The Olive in January, having been in previous years and had delicious food. However this time, the experience was not great. A cold draft towards the back wall of the restaurant, even though we sat next to a heater. The starters were great. For the main, the side salads were nice, but the lamb and chicken thigh and breast kebabs were overcooked and rubbery to chew. The fresh mint tea was clearly made with unwashed mint leaves, as there was a visible layer of dirt like debris at the bottom of the cup. The restaurant offered a replacement, which we declined, but still did not take it off the bill. Overall not a good experience.

Chicken was pink inside and scorched outside, less rice than usual for some reason, flatbread was burned too on one side

Food is better when eating at the actual venue - not great as a takeaway - I think they take less care

Worst Turkish in a long time. Awful salad (not Turkish style,) and overcooked plain white rice. Dont do it

I came here for lunch and as it was a nice day I sat outside. After eight minutes, I still had not received any recognition that I was actually there or a menu, I left. It took me another two minutes to get my coat and my handbag ready, then the waitress turned up as I was literally walking off the premises. She asked if she could help me, I said you should’ve done that 10 minutes ago. Her face then took on the ‘ I’ve just sucked a lemon’

We love Olive. The food, the staff, ambience, everything. It is always a winner.

Family visit to the restaurant recently was a lovely experience ...good service , food was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice. Would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

Staff attentive but also managed to be unobtrusive, doing their job efficiently and working around the needs of our large party of 13 diners. Great variety of dishes; something for everyone. An enjoyable evening out.

Ordered the lentil soup & got a phone call from the restaurant explaining they were out. Was offered lamb instead. They were very polite! & even offered us something extra. The lamb soup was lovely! Thank you very much! Love this restaurant

This is the second time Just Eat has delivered late and my food is cold and inedible. I paid a lot of money for this order and I don’t expect cold food. Sort this service out.

A good local Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant with a good range of food on the menu. The ambience was nice and the location was convenient for a meet up with friends.

Nice interior with low lighting, food ok but very plain when presented, looked very boring with no sauces or garnish. Service absolutely appalling, never got asked if we wanted anything, had to call waiting staff, who were chatting at bar, for anything we wanted. It took 20 mins after the last person of 7 at our table had finished main to get dessert menu. Oddly when I went to use the toilet at 10pm I was told they were closed for cleaning and there was a yellow sign in front of the door. When I waited I was told it would be 7 mins, I went through the door anyway and they were empty, they were not being cleaned! We visited on a Saturday evening.

The food was inedible, the chicken shish wrap was soaked, soggy wet lettuce with a minimal amount of chicken, the wrap was dripping liquid. The falafel was hard and dry. I’ll never order from here again!

Good portions and nice atmosphere to have a catchup

Used to really like this place before the prices were jacked up beyond what I would expect from a local restaurant. The food here is very nice, but it just isn't good value for money any more.

Food is overpriced for what you get. Lamb ribs were small and bearly had any meat. Rice was blunt with no taste, plate overall looking half empty. Left my table still feeling hungry. Feeling ripped off.

Service was good and very helpful although a bit slow at times. Food was of a good quality and well prepared and presented.

Great relaxing atmosphere, Quality food, in fact the most freshest scrumptious food in London! (you get to watch your food being prepared on the open grill) Will recommend to everyone to visit this lovely and welcoming, modern restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

Rude Staff members , no smile , also when I was there the staff members don’t treat Delivery Drivers Fairly , no respect , member of staff acting like end of the world when delivery person says he’d already started the job. 👎🏻 service , unprofessional staff, wouldn’t recommend.

I must of been to this restaurant x25 as I live local. I used to love it and tell everyone about it and meet friends here before going for drinks elsewhere, but popped in today and the service was non-existent. I had to keep calling the staff over, even though we were the only people in the restaurant, and our favourite dish, the Chicken Iskender, wasn't anywhere near as tasty as it used to be. I used to dream of this dish, but it was less than mediocre. For the price we paid, I'd expect a lot more. Not sure if the management has changed, but unfortunately not what it used to be.

Really high price. Had the hummus and bread on delivery, and it was amazing. So we went there, tried out a full meal, and put off by the prices.

Went here because the place we actually wanted to go to was closed. We love our Turkish grill cuisine and this one is of good quality. Incredibly long wait but flavours were good and tasty. I probably would go back, just wouldn't be in a massive hurry.

Lukewarm food served on soggy bread. Seemed like the kitchen had some leftovers from lunch which they wanted to get rid of.

The food is great - a perfectly cooked lamb chop and shish kebab - and the people are nice and helpful. But we were surprised at how small the portions were given the price. We ordered a lamb combination (a main dish), which was just over £19, and it came with two pieces of lamb kebab, one chop, one lamb shish kebab, and a sad looking quarter of a tomato and a grilled pepper. Felt meagre.

I just wanted to thank everyone at The Olive for making my surprise 70th birthday lunch such a special occasion. You liaised with my husband beforehand to organise all the seating arrangements and menu choices for 35 guests, so that on the day, everything worked really smoothly. The food and drink were perfect, and you looked after us like family. A day to treasure and remember.

We had such a lovely time last night at The Olive. Excellent food and Service and an amazing FLAMENCO trio performing. Thank you so much. We will be back for the next shows in June and July.

Restaurant is situated in a Quieter part of Leytonstone. The portion sizes were very nice, not too big, not too small. Nice clean plates and cutlery. The food was presented alright could’ve been better but it was alright. one disappointment, the cigarette Ashtrays were not emptied. The table we was allocated to, was a bit wonky, so it wasn’t sitting correctly on the floor

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and it is great 👍 lovely food and fantastic service! I also lost my oyster card and they looked after it for me! I'll be back there soon 😊

I visited this restaurant a couple of times when I am in the area. I like the friendly atmosphere and the food. Service is fast, food is delicious, tasty and reach in flavor. I definitely recommend this place! Good value for money!

First of all service was at very high level. They were very quick and very helpful. I am impressed. Thank you to Julia and Sofia. Starters -tzaciki with bread was amazing. Aubergine salad was OK. We ordered Mixed Grill Platter. Chicken shish and chicken kebab were amazing, the best ever. Highly recommend it. Lamb was very good as well. Adana kebab was and fries were average and rice was below average. Salad was fresh and nice. Overall we are happy with nice dining experience. Downsize-there were flies in the restaurant, which was not pleasant at all.

The driver headed off in the wrong direction and continued for quite some time! I contacted the restaurant, they said there's nothing they can do -- due to data protection; advised that I contact the driver (how, I wonder?) -- Later they advised that I contact Just Eat... Nevertheless, the food was tasty as always, when it finally arrived...

The order is showing as delivered but it has not been. I have spoken to the restaurant and they said your driver collected it and they have CC TV to prove this. I tried to speak to your customer service team but got put on hold and then cut off. I am therefore requesting a refund. I have been using Just Eat since 2020 and have never experienced this before.

Went for dinner, my experience was great. The atmosphere was welcoming, and my food was tasty and satisfying. Deducted a star, as my guests mains (same dish) was too salty, seems the chefs hand must have slipped.

Booked the Olive for a friend's 60th birthday. The staff went above and beyond to help us make it a special occasion for her. Food was excellent and very reasonable priced. Highly recommended.

I brought my mum on mothers day weekend , the food was amazing, so many beautiful flavers and options to choose from , from both hot and cold meze, the service was all perfect timing , nothing seemed rush, enabling us to have nice conversations with the workers . Highly recommend and will defo be back .. the cheese cake is a must !!

Nearly 2 hours late and cold. restaurant blamed JustEat for not sending a driver capable to deliver a large order. Order came in a bike anyway.

The highlight was the flamenco dancing and that's the reason we went. It was very good that my husband gave the flamenco dancer a £20 as he was very impressed. The food was average.

We were disappointed because the rice comes already cooked with butter, so for vegans like us or people allergic to dairy it was a big disappointment. Also all their bread comes already with butter on it!!! However, The waitress was kind to offer us bread without butter as an exception to their strange rules.

Nice restaurant located near leytonstone station

Food arrived on time but damaged box had spilled all over drivers bag there was nothing holding the box together what so ever no cling film nothing driver then blamed the shop for it saying they didnt package the food well witch i agree. i then phoned the shop to tell them that the packaging was open without any kind of empathy no apology's what so ever they just blamed the driver for there bad packaging techniques the person i spoke to on the phone was ignorant. i value good customer service. will not order from them again. a big shame.

Went here for New Years eve dinner, very good food and service was great.

The chicken kofte did not seem freshly cooked and quite far from char grilled... reheated maybe? Food was delivered lukewarm/cold. I'm a regular customer and this is the first time this has happened to me, so had to point it out.

Came to dine here with a group of colleagues. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived, nor was it when we left (Monday evening). The food overall was great. My starter (lahmacun) was okay. I have had better from other places. It was not as soft and delicate and more crispy than I prefer. Maybe that is personal preference. The main (mix grill) was excellent. Succulent pieces of meat, the rice was cooked just right and the salad was lovely. The service was a bit hit and miss. The staff were kind and friendly, but a couple of times, they had forgotten to bring over what we had asked for (tap water for the table, sauces, etc). The evening did end on a high note when there was an error with the bill (we accidentally paid too much 🤦🏾‍♂️, however, I believe it was the manager that came over and asked if what we paid was correct. He suggested that we could exchange the overpayment with vouchers, which we accepted, but returned with cash. Overall, I had a good experience at The Olive and would happily go again.

Not as nice as it used to be! Booked for a staff Xmas dinner of 7, the staff weren’t very friendly at all. It’s less restaurant and more like a food delivery driver drive-thru as only they seemed to get friendly attitudes from the staff. The food was decent for the set menu price.

Great experience. Staff were friendly. Good tasted extremely good except it was a bit dry. May be it was my choice but little bit gravy with anything would have gained 5 stars. For the price the quantity was felt a little less, but need to consider the time we spent in the restaurant. It all works out right.

The restaurant was great.....lovely food as usual. However, having booked on thefork web site and having had several confirmation e-mails, the restaurant had no record of our booking. Luckily there was a table free, but I would recommend double checking your booking with the restaurant.

Firstly, the fork discount barely applies as this restaurant add a mandatory service charge to the bill which cancels out most of the fork discount. The bill before he added the fork discount was £55, after we got a new bill with the fork discount it was £51 including £5 service. Very sneaky. Our food was fresh but we must not have ordered like everyone in these reviews talking about the portion size and amazing food. We didn't feel it was good value for money as we left disappointed and not full. My kleftiko arrived with NO potatoes init, I had to flag someone for attention and after some time he brought out a tiny plate with a few baby potatoes & explained the kitchen is busy so they forgot.... with their mistake I was not offered anything extra. It was so disproportionate with the lamb shank I was left with meat and nothing to eat with it. No bread was offered or anything and the food lacked in seasoning which may have gotten lost in the sauce. The shank was soft enough to fall off the bone though but I wouldn't order it again. Nice Xmas lights and a nice fresh mint leaf tea, slow service, had to wait and flag someone down but they were friendly when they did come over. Overall wouldn't recommend based on our 2 dishes and would go to a good Turkish for the other food on the menu where we would defo get our monies worth and leave content.

Portion less abundant than usual missing grilled veg

The food at the Olive is always great. It feels healthy, tasty, filling and reasonably priced. The shish portions are very generous. I prefer eating there as the staff is lovely but when I can't go there, a delivery is great. It would be great if they considered using less plastic in their delivery packaging.

Had a lovely meal here tonight, the staff were so lovely and efficient! The food was amazing and the chef even came out to ask us about our meal in person.

Can’t believe that i just spend £32 on few pieces of meat , lots of salad and boiled rice. Now have to order from somewhere else. Not recommended at all

Ate here previously and the food was good. On this occasion the food was poor. Had the mixed grill which was tasteless, there was no bread, which had to be ordered separately. When I got home felt unwell. Unsure if the meat was cooked properly or if the meat was left out for to long before cooking. The staff were friendly and helpful. I won’t be going back there.

Visited here for my sons graduation and I have came here many times before. From the start, the waiter was reluctant to push the tables together for us. Then we had to find him to ask for a menu followed by being left for 15mins no service or anything. We left as the service was not good. Hopefully next time I visit it will be the usual friendly service we are used to . Thank you
