The best restaurants serving German food in England

If you love kebabs this is the spot for you. I loved the quality of the meat they're using, also their masala flavour. Do try it yourself.

Almas was very helpful and the food was delicious ! The Dorito burger is defo a must try id reccomend that to anyone to try!

I came in for a quick drink with a large stag party, we were very lucky to find a seat around one of the large fire pit areas, which was really toasty, although you wouldn't want to sit in front of it all night! Service was quick even though it was a busy bar, and I got myself a strawberry beer, as it was something a little different. If you haven't had fruit beers before I highly recommend you give it a go. The beer wasn't too sweet or overpowering, and was the perfect blend of fruit and beer.

My partner and I were really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, the food fell far below expectations. The kebab plates consisted of cold seitan and overly salted sauce of a very strange colour. The best part was the salad. The Chick'n burger was warm at least but the seitan was so chewy that it was quite unpleasant to eat - basically just a flour sandwich as the seitan had no taste of its own. The coating was the best part and the salad was also useful as it would have been impossible to swallow otherwise. I finished it because I was hungry and didn't want to waste £11. Also the basic things such as ketchup and salt were absent from the table, although the chips are served without salt. The food took a very long time to arrive although the restaurant was not busy. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, which made it pleasant to some extent but I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I have to say it makes me glad I'm not actually vegan.

I’m not quite sure what had happened but it seemed like there had been a meltdown at the place so possibly this is a one off? Waiter was very lovely and trying his best but something had clearly gone wrong. We waited 20 minutes for our food and drink order to be taken. Another 30 minutes waiting for the drink to arrive, it never did so we went to the bar to ask for them. Another 45 minutes after that the food still hadn’t arrived, no food had come out of the kitchen for any table in the past hour at this point. The table next to us had their food come out having arrived 45 minutes after us. We asked if our order was coming and they said they had lost the ticket. (Bear in mind when we ordered we were the only ones in the place) At this point we had a tour booked on the evening we needed to get too. So after 1 hour and a half spent sat down, we decided to leave, we asked if the pint and Pepsi could be on the house for the time we had wasted and never getting any food, however, this request was denied. Really disappointed by what had seemed a good place to visit based on reputation.

Had fabulous birthday lunch here. Very generous portions, lovely relaxing atmosphere and wonderful service not to mention the eclectic music station. This was our second visit and the food lived up to our earlier visit. The meatballs went down a storm with a v fussy eater and I thought the food was excellent value for money. My only complaint was that I couldn’t try the huge selection of beers as I was driving. Definitely see a return visit in the near future.

Me and my son visited on the 3rd march for my birthday. We were greeted by who I'm assuming was the manager. He was welcoming. This wasn't continued by the Waitress who then took us to our table. Firstly, the seats in the middle section was dirty. My son had ordered the burger which turned up in Pitta bread as a substitute to a brioche bun. They hadn't mentioned this to us, so as you can imagine when it came out, he was very disappointed. He did change his meal to something else and the Waitress said it will be a while because there's people Infront. We had to eat our meals separate. I asked for San Miguel which they had ran out of so I was given the drinks menu after I had asked, which she didn't return for another 15-20 minutes and when she did, she asked if we'd like any desserts! I had mentioned I was waiting to order a drink but unfortunately my parking was due to run out so didn't have time. There was no apology for the inconvenience. Definitely would recommend Waitress training as she was abrupt and came across rude. I did email before writing a review, which they have rudely ignored. Won't be recommending or coming here again. So unorganised and chaos!

gdk east ham , si good and si friendly staff , fiid was very nice abd delicious wirh sauce and bread , with jalapenos and feta . . great team

Great food, fab people.Visited German Doner Kebab (GDK) in Nottingham recently, and I have to say, the food was top-notch! The kebabs are packed with flavor, and the meat is tender and well-seasoned. I tried their signature doner kebab, and it was easily one of the best
