The best restaurants serving German food in England

Ordered the dish “Bad girl”, maybe should change the name to Bad FOOD. The problem is they took so long to “cook” (make? ) a COLD sandwich and the “chicken” was way too salty in a such weird pink colour (what’s wrong with the original look?) and very very small amount of salad covered in odd sauce and the biggest problem for me is it’s not even real Turkish pide bread even though you wrote so on the menu, the bread tastes so not fresh and cheap omg just so much to say but whatever definitely won’t go to there again..The only good part last night was kind friendly staff, thanks for that❤️

Love this bar and eatey in town food is great for the price really tasty and filling. Atmosphere is good, ber and drink selection is superb and waiting staff are fantastic

Really enjoyed my lunch today at GDK kirkstall. Looked after by Sindiya who checked on us during our meal. Top job guys

Had an OG kabab, and the food was good and the service from Sam was even great.

I’m not quite sure what had happened but it seemed like there had been a meltdown at the place so possibly this is a one off? Waiter was very lovely and trying his best but something had clearly gone wrong. We waited 20 minutes for our food and drink order to be taken. Another 30 minutes waiting for the drink to arrive, it never did so we went to the bar to ask for them. Another 45 minutes after that the food still hadn’t arrived, no food had come out of the kitchen for any table in the past hour at this point. The table next to us had their food come out having arrived 45 minutes after us. We asked if our order was coming and they said they had lost the ticket. (Bear in mind when we ordered we were the only ones in the place) At this point we had a tour booked on the evening we needed to get too. So after 1 hour and a half spent sat down, we decided to leave, we asked if the pint and Pepsi could be on the house for the time we had wasted and never getting any food, however, this request was denied. Really disappointed by what had seemed a good place to visit based on reputation.

I recently visited German Doner Kebab for lunch and was impressed with the quality of the food. While it's a bit pricier than McDonald's, the taste more than makes up for it. The restaurant was very quiet during my visit, making it a nice spot to enjoy my meal in peace. Service was fantastic – Nayeem took great care of everything, adding to the positive experience. Would definitely recommend for a delicious change from the usual fast-food options!

They give me half of the box empty. Every time as issue with the order. I'm eating here every Sunday because I like the product but the service is crap.

I was disappointed when the waiter told me they didn’t have a falafel-halloumi option. Which donner place doesn’t offer a falafel-halloumi option? However, when I was eating my donner, I saw something that made me sure they were authentic. As the best donner places in Berlin, they have mice in the room. The veg option is a solid 7. The mice give an extra authentic vibe.

We have been going to Huis for many years and have seen it refurbished with comfortable furnishings, but still maintaining its original family run appeal. What has changed since our last visit is that we were warmly greeted by an exceptionally personable young lady. Lauren led us to our booked table, took orders for drinks and on return took orders for food. She really made our day by being very helpful. very efficient, very interactive and had a great sense of humour. Truly a great asst. Everything about the occasion was perfect - great menu, great service, great food and lovely ambience. combined with a fantastic selection of Belgian beers. We really look forward to our next visit.

Our group of eight visited a restaurant in Plymouth and were so delighted with our experience on the first night that we dined there for the remaining two nights of our stay. The extensive menu catered to all preferences, offering great value, and the friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere contributed to a memorable weekend in Plymouth. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Great bar, super cheap drinks and a nice buzz being right in the centre of town. Large outdoor area with heaters for the winter. Live music inside is always pretty good and the bar staff are absolutely lovely!
