The best restaurants serving German food in England

Bonita pareja teniendo este pequeño café durante años. Hemos estado allí varias veces y siempre hemos tenido muy buen desayuno / almuerzo por un buen precio. Recomendado! : - )

A DELIVERY SERVICE CRITIQUE. Sadly, I would love to give German DK, Woolwich, full marks, because their food is delicious and the prices are great. BUT.... and it is a big but, THEY DO NOT LABEL THEIR BOXES! Why, if the parent company provides a menu section on the side of the box, marked Beef, Chicken, Mixed, Veggie, does no-one in-house use it? And out of four or five recent deliveries they have messed up our order TWICE, especially chips missing. Most egregious of all, it is near-impossible to tell veggie orders from meat ones. I am vegetarian and I have been ill after sinking my teeth into a meal, because it has NO LABEL and opening up the food does not reveal what it is. If I were a halal customer and they sent me an unmarked ham order, all hell would be unleashed! PLEASE PLEASE TICK THE BOXES - this is one time when it is important.

GDK Alemán Doner Kebab No hay mucho que decir sobre esto realmente, hice una visita al lugar en Edgware Road y Bell Street W 2 el 27 / 09 / 2024 y no estoy seguro de qué se trata toda la rabia. El servicio era rápido y el servidor era muy educado y atento. El local es bastante amplio, bien distribuido y la limpieza general y la higiene también era buena. Esta es una franquicia alemana de kebab que usa carne de res en lugar de cordero y presentan el kebab en un envoltorio o en una caja. El tamaño de la porción es justo para el precio y el sabor del kebab también es justo, pero nada que escribir en casa. Puede que esté un poco sesgada aquí, ya que me encanta la carne asada, pero prefiero un kebab de cordero. Si usted está hambriento y cerca de una articulación GDK, esto sin duda llenará un vacío y le hará cosquillas a sus papilas gustativas, pero no mucho más.

Went with my friend first time in gdk old street and i had box fries and salad which was amazing. I surely recommend this kebab shop

If you like cold over expensive food delivered to your house then order from here, it's the 3rd time we've ordered from here and every time it's turned up it's clap cold.

Visito Trockel, Ulmann & Freunde con frecuencia durante las pausas para el almuerzo en el trabajo, y siempre he encontrado la comida allí para ser delicioso, caliente y lleno, todo a un precio razonable para la zona. El personal es increíblemente amable, atento y eficiente en su trabajo. Recomiendo encarecidamente visitar aquí para el almuerzo.

Met my Parents here after completing my car theory test over the road and was congratulated by the warm and welcoming staff! The celebratory beer straight from the tank was excellent and my parents said the food was amazing as well. unfortunately didn't have any cash on any of us to tip but will be back again and wont make the same mistake. wonderful restaurant!

I had an amazing experience at German Doner Kebab! The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor — especially the quesadilla, which was really good. I also want to give a special shout-out to Umma, who provided outstanding service. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her positive attitude really made my visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

Really loved this place when we first moved to Leeds about a year ago but it’s been going downhill ever since and I really couldn’t recommend it now. Food is expensive (£15-ish for a meal not including drinks) which was just about ok when it was great quality but now feels like a massive rip-off, the portions are huge but I’d rather have a normal amount of food for a more reasonable price to be honest. Service is always super slow even when very quiet and the atmosphere is pretty awkward in there, the last two times we’ve been food has arrived cold and not properly cooked through, my partner said his fried chicken was like raw dough. The seasoning overall on the chicken and even the chips was very lacking and when they charge £1.50 extra for sauce you would expect it to taste of something, the pickle and Korean mayo’s both might as well have been plain mayonnaise with food colouring in - the only thing I would say has stayed great are the drinks, their craft sodas and mocktails are still lovely but that’s all I could recommend. After the most recent visit my partner became quite unwell too so really not a good experience. Shame as it used to be great but really wouldn’t recommend it now to anyone.

I’m not quite sure what had happened but it seemed like there had been a meltdown at the place so possibly this is a one off? Waiter was very lovely and trying his best but something had clearly gone wrong. We waited 20 minutes for our food and drink order to be taken. Another 30 minutes waiting for the drink to arrive, it never did so we went to the bar to ask for them. Another 45 minutes after that the food still hadn’t arrived, no food had come out of the kitchen for any table in the past hour at this point. The table next to us had their food come out having arrived 45 minutes after us. We asked if our order was coming and they said they had lost the ticket. (Bear in mind when we ordered we were the only ones in the place) At this point we had a tour booked on the evening we needed to get too. So after 1 hour and a half spent sat down, we decided to leave, we asked if the pint and Pepsi could be on the house for the time we had wasted and never getting any food, however, this request was denied. Really disappointed by what had seemed a good place to visit based on reputation.
