German Doner Kebab in Islington

Very nice food. Highly recommend. I been with my family for having lunch. OG meal, 🌯 boss box with curry fries and mix spring rolls.

This place in next to underground and it was amazing kebab shop I went with my friends and I had a OG kebab it was unbelievable.

The food taste really good...service was nice....with the main dishes my recommendation will be chicken spring rolls.

Highly recommended.nice environment..service also good..food was hot fresh & delicious...i will go again with family.

Bad behaviour with deliver driver and every time the man take a long time for order as well as he is doing waste of time by the Indian guy.

Went for work in old street ,eat gdk kebab was too good , must advice ev6to visit her emust .og kebab i had with all sauce and salad was nice

I was passing by old street and saw this shop named GDK and I was not that hungry but thought to have some snacks so I Oder spring roll , it was amazing

Best kebab place in old street, went with my business partner had doner box with fries and salad and they gave us all the sauce. Good experience.

When my wife and I settled into our hotel while visiting Shoreditch area (London), we saw the sign for 'GDK' (which initially I thought was a carrot image for maybe a vegetarian restaurant) and I was initially very excited. I had lived in Germany for a few years and was a huge fan of the Doner kebabs when I lived there. My wife and I stopped in and ordered food to go - they have quite a large menu beyond doners... but I ordered the traditional (beef) doner kebab and she ordered a (chicken) doner wrap. We asked for both of them fully loaded. Compared to the ones I had eaten in Germany, these were not very good. Instead of a soft pita style bread, this was a tougher whole grain wrap that seemed to be made in a waffle iron type of thing. It was tough and flavorless. The meat was dry and none of the sauces on it had much flavor. It was disappointing. My wife enjoyed hers more than I did - she liked the wrap and thought the chicken was pretty good. Overall, I was disappointed. The food doesn't compare to actual German Doner Kebabs very well - it lacks the freshness and flavor that made them famous. That said, if you are looking for a fast food style of sandwich which is sort of like a doner kebab and like the non traditional options they provide, this may be all right. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has had a real diner kebab before though. I have to say that the place is very clean, it's nice being able to watch them make the food in front of you, and the service and prices were pretty good too.

Loved the service along with the store decor. Food was hot, full of flavour and simply delicious. Will return again
