Bierschenke

Aldgate,Billingsgate,Bishopsgate,Bridge,Broad Street,Candlewick,Cornhill,Langbourn,Lime Street,Portsoken,Tower, City of London,Westminster, >100£
09/02/2020: Can not wait to come back 🤤 Debreziner sausage was the best sausage I have eaten in UK so far. Imported from Germany.
06/02/2020: The Bierschenke Dunkel is great, the Currywurst perfectly spiced, the platters are huge and great for groups, and the Apfelstrudel is delicious. Great for dining, dancing and watching Bundesliga or Die Mannschaft!

Octoberfest Pub London

Town, Hammersmith and Fulham, <20£

Katzenjammers Bierkeller & Restaurant

Cathedrals, Southwark
16/01/2020: Staff are cold and rude, make you feel incredibly uncomfortable. Was stared at the whole time with my friends by a waitress who took my drink before I had finished it. Honestly will never come here again.
12/01/2020: Pleasant staff however noisy Drum and Bass music from the kitchen ruined any chance of a relaxing lunch. This place has really deteriorated since we last visited.

Bavarian Beerhouse Old Street

Bunhill, Islington
17/09/2018: I stumbled upon this place one evening and those to myself 'I not tried German food!' I gave it a go. The staff were friendly & gave me some pointers in what to have. I went for the Traditional Bavarian Beerhouse "Wurstplatte" in a good size portion. It worked a treat & the atmosphere was brilliant as it was the start of Oktoberfest!
02/09/2018: Had my first visit here to celebrate a belated birthday for my friend who was really looking forward to some food she’s missed as she was brought up in Germany and all I can say is that I will be returning, my starter was disgusting ( some cheese dish with a Pretzel) my friend had potato salad which was bland but my other friend had the soup which he did enjoy, my main was the shcnizel in a beer sauce with mushrooms and fries but it was so greasy I felt I was eating a deep fried dish cloth and the fries were nothing special, I can only recommend after reading previous reviews that the chef be replaced or needs retraining, will not be recommending at all.

Kamps

Bloomsbury, Camden

Hansel & Pretzel

Ham, Petersham and Richmond Riverside, Richmond upon Thames
22/09/2019: We stopped here on the way back from the Great River Race, just happened to drive past and stopped for brunch. The rye baton bread is delicious, the patisserie cakes are traditional but light and elegant (we couldn't resist the apple cake, carrot cake and Black Forest cherry). We also had filled rolls and hot chocolate which we enjoyed sitting in the sun outside the bakery on their outdoor tables. Great selection of German deli goods too, so happy to find Zigeuner sauce! The staff are really friendly and polite.
08/06/2019: The best German bakery/deli in London. Quality and service are outstanding. Many seasonal products on offer that are hard to find (if not impossible to find) elsewhere. They offer hot and cold snacks, a great selection of cakes and breadrolles, cold cuts, sausages and very nice Leberkäs (meatloaf). The store is charming decorated and the stuff is very pleasant. Can't recommend enough.

Kurz & Lang

Clerkenwell, Islington
10/10/2015: Have come here twice with Sarah M now, both times after have a fair few bevvies. It's late opening means its perfect for some food before the last train and we certainly LOVE our wurst, chips and mustard so Kurz & Lang can really do no wrong in our eyes...except often they run out of some of the sausage types so maybe try an earlier, more sober visit than us. Reasonably priced too and you get a ton of chips! londoncurryblog.com
07/09/2015: Fantastic German sausage with sauerkraut and pretzel, chips or fried potatoes optional. Great service and even better food but now sadly closed!

Bavarian Beerhouse Tower Hill

Aldgate,Billingsgate,Bishopsgate,Bridge,Broad Street,Candlewick,Cornhill,Langbourn,Lime Street,Portsoken,Tower, City of London,Westminster
17/09/2018: There are lots of times I find myself craving a good German schnitzel and a beer and luckily I can find all I want in the Bavarian beer house. All the food is delicious (the schnitzel is definitely my favourite but the sausages are also pretty great). I also really enjoy the Erdinger Weisbier (I think it's much nicer than its black equivalent) so I'd recommend trying that one. They have lots of other delicious German beers for you to try too. The atmosphere in there is great especially when there's a match on and it gets pretty packed in the weekend. If you go on a week night though it can be pretty dead so just take a big group of your friends with you and enjoy having the place almost entirely for yourselves. Finally, you can always count on this venue to be a great place during octoberfest, with girls dressed as Bavarian beer maids bringing a true German vibe to the heart of East London.
02/08/2018: The decor of the restaurant gave it a really nice atmosphere and the services was always fantastic. The food was great and good value for the area. I will be heading back

Knot Pretzels

South Richmond, Richmond upon Thames
01/11/2019: I always make a beeline for this little Pretzel place every time I visit Richmond. The salted pretzels are delicious and there are many varieties of sweet and savoury... the hot drinks are also very good. I tried the Chai Latte and was just perfect. Well done to the lovely staff who are always helpful and polite.
03/02/2019: We ate breakfast at Knot, the coffee and the Pretzels were both very good, definitely a good choice if you are looking for a quick snack at the station.

29/11/2018: Znalazłam w jabłeczniku długi włos który przeciagnelam przez cały kawałek. Pomimo iż jabłecznik był dobry ponieważ próbowałam przed konsumpcją, nie polecam z powyższych powodów!
