The best restaurants serving French food in England

All 3 of their restaurants seem to be closed, have phoned all 3, - cannot get an answer - No recorded message - Nothing on the website explaining what the problem is or when they are re opening - Very poor - Shame as the food is great - But come on guys - Don't leave your customers in the dark - Very poor customer relations

This was our second trip to the restaurant and our expectations were generally met in almost every area. The onion soup was full of flavour. The chicken meal although nice was slightly underwhelming in taste. The 12 oz steak was an absolute highlight ( be warned it is a lot to consume along with the soup). The sticky toffee was nice and as it was my partner's birthday they done a nice job with the sparklers I provided. The resturant was quite full with others using the groupon options. It would have been nice to give my partner a complimentary birthday drink. The champagne in the glass when it was first bought was slightly flat and had to be returned which was slightly disappointing.

A night to remember. Nice food, great service and a lovely opera-performance. A friendly and professional experience.

Parece que va cuesta abajo rápido. El personal parecía no importarle, promedio de comida, menú muy limitado. Qué lástima por lo que solía ser un restaurante vibrante y agradable. Ahora puedo decir por qué parece estar vacío la mayor parte del tiempo.

Fantastic experience!! If you are looking for some quiet time in a beautifully presented restaurant this is the place to go. We went for breakfast and the whole experience was superb. Bacon was cooked to perfection with the French toast and the spinach was definitely cooked with something that gave it a home cooked meal taste. The staff were friendly and very informative about the area. I looked at the dinner menu which offered plenty of traditional French cuisine. Highly recommend Côte. If we weren’t travelling through I would definitely have been back to try dinner.

This was my first visit and it was fabulous. I did find the place hard to find, however, it was very close to Jarrolds on Exchange Street! I received a very warm welcome and was offered a choice of where to sit, opting fo in the window. My vegetarian dish of butternut squash tarte tatine was adjusted for my preference and together with the side salad was absolutely delicious! Atmosphere very comfortable and service by Thereza excellent! Service charge added on the bill.

We had a nice evening with our friends. Food was nice and good choice . But shame we were rushed at the end for the restaurant to close . Bill given, no coffee, tea offered …shame ! Not a nice end touch we will unfortunately remember . Don’t offer 8.30 pm booking if you want to close your restaurant early !

Booked meal for 6.6.23 they closed with no notice leaving me and a lot of other people with vouchers and no refund many suppliers are unpaid too They took my booking tho!!!

The food was excellent. But the service was sadly lacking. Would go back and hope it was just an off day.

It doesn't get any better than this. What a great place for that very special meal. I cannot fault it in any way. Wonderful views from the dining room, great service and the best food.

Went with my wife on Sunday 23rd March to celebrate her birthday. Very pleased with the service, the ambience and - especially - the food. All three courses were excellent. Will definitely go again.

Goats cheese tart lovely, and service was good, and generally expensive...... But £4.00 for 2 carrots... I will say no more🤔🙄

First time eating and drinking in this pub, and a warm welcome awaited us as soon as we went through the door. The outside appearance belies a very spacious, nicely decorated interior, and outside space. We were given a choice if table and area, and the ambience and atmosphere were perfect for a relaxing leisurely catch up with a friend. The food was well presented and tasty. Perhaps a little on the pricey side, but it still felt good value for money. What stood out though was the jolly, friendly, and efficient Staff. They all looked as if they enjoyed their jobs, and wanted to give the best experience to their customers. A little gem - Will definitely go back.

Great food both quality and selection. Cheese board to die for (sooo reasonably priced at less than the supplement other restaurants add for cheese on a set menu). Amazing wine list - reasonably priced, and with some gems not even listed. So many dishes to try when we get the chance. My only criticism would be the lack of soft furnishings - it was really full when we were there, and quite difficult to hear with nothing to deaden the sound. Great value for money.
