The best restaurants serving French food in England

All things considered (including the price), this is, pound for pound, one of the best restaurants in London and it is nothing less than a tragedy that it is shortly going to close. I feel very bad (particularly now) that I have not previously left a review. We have been there many times (including with groups who had never visited before) and the feedback has been ubiquitously (and rightly) glowing. The food is sensational (and significantly better than in a lot of "fancier" places that would charge at least twice as much) and Jonathan is an extraordinarily welcoming and charming host who enhances everyone's experience. They were very unlucky with COVID and historically this location has been difficult for restaurants. The restaurant has often not seemed as busy as it ought to be (given how good it is) and I can completely understand their decision. But Chelsea is about to lose an absolute jewel.

We want to thank you all for being part of Sailingdinner Cruises David an I have loved every minute of our time with you all and we will miss you but thank you for some wonderful times an allowing us to be a part of making wonderful memories ... Love to visit this cafe when I’m in the area visiting my family. Great food and drink at very reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff who always make a fuss of my grandaughter. A real community gem.

Booked last minute on Saturday evening for a quick bite to eat after a busy day. The staff were very friendly, seated us quickly, menus delivered quickly and food/drinks ordered pretty swiftly. The food was delicious! Pretty good value too . It turns into a cocktail bar with DJ playing music from 9,30pm so we had to make an exit as we had children with us (I wanted to stay ) but I’ll deffo visit again with girlfriends. 5 stars for me 😀. This place should be packed out at a weekend as it’s awesome !

This bakery is not what we remembered from pre-pandemic days. The sourdough is flat, and not very tasty any more. No idea what’s happened, but hope the lovely proprietors are all right. We made a special journey to get the best sourdough bread in Lancashire, and were disappointed by what was on sale, so sadly, I’m guessing we won’t be back again.😢

After our first visit on Xmas day we booked again last weekend for the seafood platter. We had been meaning to try this for some time & it didn’t disappoint. Along with the amazing food the service was impeccable once again. Thank you all for an amazing evening, we’ll be back again soon.

I’ve only been for coffee and croissant but I’ve been more than once and whether you like records or not it is one of those places where everyone will join in a conversation. The focus is music as they sell Vinyl but the chef is French and the cost for food and drink very reasonable. The cafe/restaurant is in a parade of shops in a residential area so you can park outside although it is on a bus route. Some Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times it becomes a pop up restaurant where you can BYO. Not for the romantic meal for two as this is a small venue with tables quite close together but I’ve been told by a friend who went there for dinner that everyone talks to everyone else and it has a good vibe. I image booking is required in the evenings but for breakfast; lunch or just a coffee and a browse just pop in and see.

Sucedió a través de esta tienda de quesos, charcutería y vinos maravillosamente simple pero elegantemente hecho con un anfitrión amable y conocedor. Resultó ser el lugar perfecto para una tarde temprano ponerse al día con un amigo sobre una deliciosa tabla de queso y vino (té, para mí de hecho!). Fui por un pequeño plato de queso que estaba bien preparado y muy generoso por el precio. Mi amigo también valoró el vino.

Me dieron un vale para el taller de elaboración de trufas de chocolate como regalo de cumpleaños. Duró unas 3 horas. La tienda es realmente encantadora, la señora que dirigió el taller era muy conocedora y servicial. Ella explicó la historia de la vaina de cacao, y probamos varios chocolates. Fui a casa con 2 bolsas de deliciosas trufas de chocolate y algunos polos de chocolate.

Charming hidden gem cafe in Liverpool. Very friendly staff, fresh sourdough baguettes and Parisian-style sandwiches, delicious choux pastry treats in a range of flavours, home made cookies, and delicious coffee. Treat yourself and go here, you will leave with a smile!

En el momento en que entras, te da la bienvenida una atmósfera llena de calidez, amabilidad y la belleza de las flores cuidadosamente arregladas: realmente se siente como un jardín mágico donde cada detalle se perfecciona. Su amor por lo que hacen brilla en cada creación. Superbe diner dans un restaurant rénové avec gout. Nous n'avions pas bien compris l'étoile Michelin de l'ancien Blackbird mais sommes très étonné de l'absence d'un 1ère étoile si nous regardons de près le menu "hommage" dégusté hier soir. Tout est parfait, des ingrédients de base de haute qualité et une cuisine élaborée parfaite. Des assemblages de saveurs très justes comme l'ananas Victoria avec le jambon de Bayonne assaisonné d'une vinaigrette dosée à la perfection. Que dire du canard laqué maison et du dessert à la rhubarbe confite . En un seul mot tout est parfait. Surtout ne changez rien. L'erreur des inspecteurs Michelin sera vite réparée.
