The best restaurants serving French food in England

Love to visit this cafe when I’m in the area visiting my family. Great food and drink at very reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff who always make a fuss of my grandaughter. A real community gem.

Booked last minute on Saturday evening for a quick bite to eat after a busy day. The staff were very friendly, seated us quickly, menus delivered quickly and food/drinks ordered pretty swiftly. The food was delicious! Pretty good value too . It turns into a cocktail bar with DJ playing music from 9,30pm so we had to make an exit as we had children with us (I wanted to stay ) but I’ll deffo visit again with girlfriends. 5 stars for me 😀. This place should be packed out at a weekend as it’s awesome !

La noche fue todo lo que no fue la cena en Kerridge’s el fin de semana. Un servicio encantador, atento e informal (observar a Madame amablemente le hizo saber a mi esposa que su filete sería mucho mejor medio raro que medio era una alegría contemplarlo) ; un menú corto y equilibrado con cada plato magníficamente ejecutado, lleno de sabor, en placas calientes de tuberías que mi abuela habría aprobado; pequeños toques que marcaron toda la diferencia (traer una jarra extra de salsa sin preguntar al observar cuánto lo estaba disfrutando mi hijo) ; compendiar nuestros digestifs sin otra razón que claramente estábamos disfrutando tanto; valor razonable en un mundo caro. Tres vítores para las Paulettes de este mundo, son pocos y muy lejanos.

This bakery is not what we remembered from pre-pandemic days. The sourdough is flat, and not very tasty any more. No idea what’s happened, but hope the lovely proprietors are all right. We made a special journey to get the best sourdough bread in Lancashire, and were disappointed by what was on sale, so sadly, I’m guessing we won’t be back again.😢

We had a wonderful lunch today full traditional Sunday roast, highly recommend. Piping hot, all homemade, fabulous find.

I’ve only been for coffee and croissant but I’ve been more than once and whether you like records or not it is one of those places where everyone will join in a conversation. The focus is music as they sell Vinyl but the chef is French and the cost for food and drink very reasonable. The cafe/restaurant is in a parade of shops in a residential area so you can park outside although it is on a bus route. Some Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times it becomes a pop up restaurant where you can BYO. Not for the romantic meal for two as this is a small venue with tables quite close together but I’ve been told by a friend who went there for dinner that everyone talks to everyone else and it has a good vibe. I image booking is required in the evenings but for breakfast; lunch or just a coffee and a browse just pop in and see.

Sucedió a través de esta tienda de quesos, charcutería y vinos maravillosamente simple pero elegantemente hecho con un anfitrión amable y conocedor. Resultó ser el lugar perfecto para una tarde temprano ponerse al día con un amigo sobre una deliciosa tabla de queso y vino (té, para mí de hecho!). Fui por un pequeño plato de queso que estaba bien preparado y muy generoso por el precio. Mi amigo también valoró el vino.

After our first visit on Xmas day we booked again last weekend for the seafood platter. We had been meaning to try this for some time & it didn’t disappoint. Along with the amazing food the service was impeccable once again. Thank you all for an amazing evening, we’ll be back again soon.

Me dieron un vale para el taller de elaboración de trufas de chocolate como regalo de cumpleaños. Duró unas 3 horas. La tienda es realmente encantadora, la señora que dirigió el taller era muy conocedora y servicial. Ella explicó la historia de la vaina de cacao, y probamos varios chocolates. Fui a casa con 2 bolsas de deliciosas trufas de chocolate y algunos polos de chocolate.

We just had the most amazing dinner here - it was so good, I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! We shared the crab won tong to start, then my friend had the chicken supreme for main, which was succulent and was served with a lovely potato fondant. I had the lamb rump, served medium rare, on a bed of babaganoush, and with a side of an enormous platter of tagine, unctuous with stewed lamb, which I shared with my friend. We didn't really have room for dessert, but with food this good, we didn't want to miss out, and my friend's crumble + ice-cream and my lemon meringue tart didn't disappoint. All washed down with a carafe of the house red, a full-bodied Merlot. Wow! Just wow!! Get there quick before everyone else finds it!

Perfecto bistró francés. La comida es sabrosa y el servicio es muy atento. El ambiente es genial también. fuimos con amigos y era el lugar perfecto para ponerse al día

Charming hidden gem cafe in Liverpool. Very friendly staff, fresh sourdough baguettes and Parisian-style sandwiches, delicious choux pastry treats in a range of flavours, home made cookies, and delicious coffee. Treat yourself and go here, you will leave with a smile!

We arrived to a very warm welcome indeed from Gill (a former colleague of my partner David) to celebrate my 80th birthday with afternoon tea along with two good friends . We cannot praise the service, ambience and the food highly enough - the owner Val even popping her head round the doorway to ask if we were being treated well? We certainly were - this was to the standard of a top London hotel and what a bargain at £25, having a few years ago paid £10 for a coffee & scone on the terrace of Buckingham Palace! What a great little place this is - a real asset to the high street with an interesting menu and wine list. We were there on a very busy Friday evening and staff were working hard to serve everyone with drinks and food orders. We had a bit of a wait for our food but, in the meantime, we enjoyed a bottle of wine and we got chatting to a couple of ladies on the next table - it's that type of place, friendly and informal. Our sharing platter was fabulous, I love this idea of a bit of everything on a plate! All in all, a great evening and experience. Our only disappointment is that we don't live nearer to De la Terre - we'd be frequent diners if we did!

En el momento en que entras, te da la bienvenida una atmósfera llena de calidez, amabilidad y la belleza de las flores cuidadosamente arregladas: realmente se siente como un jardín mágico donde cada detalle se perfecciona. Su amor por lo que hacen brilla en cada creación. Cada pastel de cumpleaños que he pedido ha sido nada menos que exquisito, elaborado con tanto cuidado y arte que se puede sentir el corazón y el alma derramada en él. Desde delicados pasteles hasta deliciosos pasteles, cada bocado es una experiencia de indulgencia pura. Si aún no has visitado Prestige Patisserie, te estás perdiendo algo especial. No puedo recomendarlos lo suficiente: una vez que pruebes sus pasteles, ¡nunca querrás ir a ningún otro lugar!
