I visited the legion with my nan,sister and daughter. We each had a starter and main meal. My daughter had battered cod and chips, which she throughly enjoyed. The food was very nice and presented well. Waitress was very friendly and helpful 💞 thank you for a lovely evening. Glad we booked it.

Lovely meal had by both of us. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly just as I asked. Wonderful friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and quick polite service. Thank you

Visited with my family as soon as lockdown was lifted, wasn’t disappointed! Lovely food, great value for money, portions sizes were great! Nearly couldn’t finish, which is hard for me! would highly recommend having a visit! Even have vegan and Vegetarian options

We have been looking forward to visiting the British Legion again especially since Ashley and Swanage Soul Catering have been in place. We were not disappointed! Really friendly and relaxed service with a smile. The 3 of us agreed the food 'especially the stuffed chicken dish' was the best food we have eaten in any restaurant in a very long time. Fantastic food with great service with a relaxed atmosphere 👍 Not forgetting the incredibly kept and interesting selection of real ales 'best beer in Swanage by the way' Looking forward to our next visit. We have eaten here several times since lockdown was lifted and its always been great. Its a covid safe environment with nice views of the downs. The food has been excellent every time. Ash always has half a dozen or more specials on the go. Between us we've had the pork belly, hake, chicken in stilton and mushroom, duck confit, braised beef featherblade, crab linguini, pheasant and venison as well as nicely cooked ribeye steaks.There's always something good on the specials board and always good value! Maybe the Legion isnt the first place you would think of to go for a quality meal, but it's all about the food and my opinion it's the best quality and value the town has to have offer......

Food was simply amazing. Full of flavour and piping hot when it came to us. It was for the money paid as good as it gets if not more. I’ve paid twice and three times the price and had worse. Really was good food.

I ate here with the family on a Saturday evening, good choice of menu and specials available. Delicious hot food and good portion size, excellent service. Will be back again soon

We had a wonderful meal here last Saturday. The food was well cooked, plentiful and very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed our meals. Covid guide lines followed well as is in the club it’s self. Thank you and looking forward to the next visit!
