great coffee and amazing cakes - fresh, home-made! The owners make the cakes themselves, and they are lovely people too! highly recomended!

Absolutamente maravilloso. XXXX

Great little place with wallpapered vintage interior. Delicious cakes and run by two wonderful people. There's no place like it. They don't usually serve cooked evening meals, but they do sometimes as a special event and I believe for private parties.

Damien and Catherine are two adorable French people who worked hard to install the coffee shop in Leyton. The place is peaceful and very original compare to the others. The coffee and homemade cakes are delicious and it's always a pleasure to go there.

I bumped into this small cafè while walking down Leyton High Street with a group of friends and we decided to try it out.We were immediately welcomed by a friendly young French man, quite possibly the owner, and offered to sit on an old sofa and a couple of chairs...The place is very small and a bit tacky... We were immediately asked what hot drink we wanted and we all ordered a piece of cake each from a display cabinet with different home made pies on it... They looked better than they tasted, I mean the were ok, but nothing to really write home about...So, overall, an average experience and I would probably not recommend to my friends...

A beautifully designed place, serving gorgeous home made cakes, top class coffee and probably the best Hot Chocolate in London. A very popular place already, and I'm sure it will continue to grow and thrive. It's also a welcome addition to a part of London that already has already has lots going for it, but continues to change (rather than the idiotic comments from the goon below).

One of a few independent coffee shops opening up around the crap bit of east London- Leyton, Leytonstone, Forest Gate etc. Damien who runs the place is really trying to do all sorts of good stuff: French conversation classes with wine and cheese, toddler French, cards nights...He sells chutneys, jams and French delicacies as well as coffee and home made cakes, and brings his own home made chantilly in a plastic tub.I should go back here soon and support (I am on indefinite maternity leave) as I would hate this place to close. Leyton is definitely getting nicer. I just hope it is ready for La Petite Robe Rose as a welcome departure from the ubiquitous chicken shops.

MJ hosted a splendid lunch and the chef showed considerable.skill worthy of a Michelin star for his wild mushroom risotto.and pistachio creme brulee .The Gard Rhone varietal red wine was at the perfect temperature for a sunny day .Very stylish restaurant. You won't do better anywhere else in outer London .On this showing I would like to sample every dish on the menu .Highly recommended as the cookery is world class..

Loved the poke bowl and the smoothie might be the best I’ve ever had. The macarons are also delicious. The staff are all lovely too.
