A beautiful and atmospheric little cafe with the most delicious chocolates and welcoming host - a real treat, thank you

Such a lovely little independent cafe nestled off the beautiful Bellenden Rd. Their hot chocolate is wonderful, and made even better with a drop of rum or whisky for an evening treat. The cocktails are also very yummy. Isabelle is a brilliant hostess, it feels like you are welcomed to part of the community when you enter the cafe!

Solía trabajar en un café belga, así que tengo altos estándares para el chocolate caliente. Creo que esto fue fácilmente el mejor que he tenido. Pedí el 70% de chocolate negro vegano con leche de avena. Muuuy bueno Se puede decir que usan chocolate de muy alta calidad y la textura es muy lujosa y gruesa. Sin duda volveremos!

Busqué "mejor chocolate caliente en Londres" en Google y Melange apareció, con razón. Tengo un autobús allí y está casi escondido en una calle tranquila, una joya escondida. La señora que nos sirvió, supongo que el dueño, fue muy amable y cordial. Hay un montón de chocolates inusuales para elegir. Es acogedor con una bonita decoración y la música de jazz le dio un toque agradable. Lo más importante es que el chocolate caliente fue sublime, rico y con mucho chocolate, tal como debería ser, y probablemente el mejor que he tenido. Nos calentó perfectamente en un día frío. . ¡altamente recomendado!

A great place that you need to be a local t9 find out. The homemade white hot chocolate with the spices is from another world. The surrounding area is very nice so totally worth to visit and combine it with a lunch/dinner in one of the very nice choices nearby.

Found this little cafe on a google search and am very pleased with my find! It’s a tiny little cafe run by a lovely friendly lady! The seating area is tucked away and quiet. There are unusual chocolates to buy and take home with you too which is a nice touch. I had the cup of dark hot chocolate and it was very filling and for just £3 was more than enough to fill me up🙂 would definitely recommend for a little treat.

I popped into Melange before Easter to find something slightly different to take back for the family. I was blown away by the variety of chocolate flavours available. There are small samples of every flavour so you can try before you buy. The owners were really helpful and suggested which chocolate might suit each family member I described. The chocolates were a hit so I’ll definitely be back!

We popped into Melange this afternoon for a quick Dark Hot Chocolate! It was amazing! The Chocolate was so rich,I had to ask for a glass of water to drink with it! And it was so filling that I refused supper at my daughter’s and just went to catch the train home!! What a find! We’ll definitely visit there again and again and again!!

Love this place. Best hot chocolate ever. Loads of different flavours to try. Wonderful customer service and dog friendly. Highly recommended. The only downside is that no other hot chocolate will ever taste as good ever again.

Isabelle has made a shrine for all things chocolatey. We have enjoyed stopping by for indulgent delights (my favourite is the white chocolate blondie). Everything is made by Isabelle who takes genuine delight in feeding her customers, and is very tolerant of children on-site. There are also healthier options available.

I've been to melange twice. The first time to try the chocolate making class and then again afterwards to buy Christmas pressies for everyone. Both experiences were great. Chocolate making class: My girlfriend loved learning about chocolate and how to make the products whilst I was more than happy just gorging myself on gooey chocolate delights. I'd 300% recommend this for couples and friends to do together. I was stuck in a happy chocolatey coma for hours afterwards. Isabel and her team have got an amazing gig going on. Her staff are clearly passionate, friendly (and just the perfect level of French). If you're in the area you need to check it out. The second time i bought as much as I could carry. My girlfriend's brother had mentioned it so i picked him up some chocolate slabs and my sister some macarons. The hot chocolate with salted caramel ice cream floating in it I bought for myself. It. Was. Dreamy.

I'm so lucky to live near this wonderful cafe. Their hot chocolate is the best I've ever tasted- seriously it's like drinking melted bars of the stuff! The staff are always really friendly and helpful, I can't recommend it enough.

Hidden in one of the back streets of Peckham this lovely chocolate shop run by French lady Isabelle. They severed great hot chocolate and got chocolate brunch on the weekends.

Very friendly proprietor who makes the best hot chocolate in Peckham. Also has some amazing white chocolate and raspberry cake, and salted caramel hot chocolate.

Just finished my Melange Hot Chocolate back in Canada made with their terrific mix - have to agree it is the "Best Hot Chocolate in London". I originally made it a point to get to Melange to try their Award Winning Ginger and Lime bar...

I can only comment on the array of chocolate bars on sale but the flavours are wonderful - you can taste exactly what it says on the wrapper, which isn't always the case. Also a very pretty interior cafe and the friendliest of owners!
