The best restaurants serving Fast food food in England

Staveley chippy is one of the best we’ve been to. Very tasty food and great service. Elliott and his staff are always friendly, smiley and professional. It’s very much part of the Staveley community. The pizzeria next door is amazing too!

My husband ordered to bowls, one from the seasonal menu shown on the counter. The food was prepared, but when the girl came to hand it over, her colleague had given the seasonal katsi curry bowl to a takeaway order, and there was none left of the seasonal ingredients to remake my bowl. Not happy ☹️

I had the Smoked sweet potato and falafel wrap with tahini etc. and it was very good. I initially thought that £8 was a bit steep, but it was worth it; the wrap was crammed full and I had to take the last quarter home to finish it. Yum.

Now called Xana. Excellent food and value. They were kind enough to put the gluten free frier back on for me after they had finished serving GF. The food was really tasty. Massive portions, twice as big and tastier than the Thames Avenue shop.

Excelllent Vegan Burger, Really suggest the Dalton, my first time with a vegan burger! If I didn’t know it was vegan I would not recognize. Excellent!!!

I stopped in for a quick sandwich for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Made fresh in a few minutes. Nice tables inside and a few on the sunny corner outside.

Honestly the service, food and atmosphere was spot on. The service was friendly and efficient and they personalised each table. The roe buck it’s self is amazingly decorated mixing old and new with French style menu, my french onion soup was superb - don’t take it off!! Thank you

Had the vegan hot dog, was really looking forward to it. Then got the dog, all looked great. But into it and it was a tofu weiner, I had never had one before and I can see why. It was the worse texture I have ever experienced. There was nothing on the board to state a tofu weiner so not sure what to expect. I took the dog out and ate the bread with the onions, that part was lovely!

During the pandemic, Pirate Pasties was an oasis that helped save our mental state. Visiting each weekend to sample some truely amazing pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Enjoying a coffee and a fantastic ice cream served through the hatch in the window gave us a sense of normality during those long months. Once things returned to normality we continued to enjoy an occasional visit as the food and drink are so good and the people so lovely and friendly. Now they have also opened another cafe in nearby Wickham where they continue to sell beautiful pastry and wonderful coffee. So worth a visit to enjoy not only some amazing food but also the friendly smile offered to every one of Hulia's (the owner) customers. I can safely recommend Pirate Pasties. Even to Jolly Roger.

Qué lástima que el ambiente no coincida con la comida. El Chef, y es un Chef de verdad, no escucha a sus clientes. Su cocina es excelente, pero los bancos desnudos e incómodos necesitan tener cojines en ellos. Las mesas no están lo suficientemente limpias y quién quiere beber un buen vino de tazas de metal y comer un buen filete de un plato de metal. La gente sale a cenar cómodamente ya que no van a ir de picnic. El ambiente no es agradable. . La comida es excelente, pero el ambiente es deprimente. No tomaría mucho para animarlo y sugerir que tome sus propias copas de vino.

I often eat at takeaways while travelling around the country for work, I stumbled upon this place by luck. I ordered a chicken and lamb shish with extra garlic and chilli sauce and chips. The food was freshly prepared in front of me, I ate in the seating area and the pleasant staff members gave me a bottle of water to have with my food without any charge. I throughly enjoyed my food after my long drive from Manchester and would recommend this place for food quality and service.

Creo que lo principal a tener en cuenta es que éramos visitantes habituales antes del cierre y siempre encontramos la comida excelente. Además, en el momento de mis visitas, no sabía que al parecer había habido un cambio de dirección. Nuestras dos visitas en junio fueron insatisfactorias. Lo intentamos dos veces para darles el beneficio de la duda después del bloqueo. En ambas ocasiones nos dimos cuenta de que lo primero que se notaba era cuánto olía el pescado (normalmente una señal de que no estaba tan fresco como debería ser). No era un pescado de sabor agradable. La primera vez pensamos que el proveedor no había almacenado el pescado correctamente durante el cierre y, en lugar de perder dinero, lo vendió. Sin embargo, la segunda vez indicó que parecía haber un problema, probablemente debido a la actitud menos que perfecta de los propietarios, hacia lo que estaban enviando. Sugiero que si quieren reducir costos, reduzcan el tamaño de las porciones de papas fritas en lugar de la calidad del pescado.

Bubble waffles are absolutely amazing!!!! I live in Cornwall and my partner keep’s bugging too take him back every weekend!!!!
