Falafel and Friends in Norwich

Came here recently for lunch with friends. There's lots of great options on the menu, and plenty of choice for vegetarian and vegan requirements. The server was friendly, and food was ready fairly quickly. I went for the sweet potato falafel wrap - good size, tasted great, and affordable! Overall, had a very pleasant experience - will surely return soon!

My friends have always said that this is a great place for vegan and vegetarian food and they weren’t lying. I am lactose intolerant, so having a nice variety of food to pick was amazing! I had the tofu nugget wrap and it was served hot and fresh and also quite quickly which was amazing! Will definitely becoming here again!

Falafel and Friends is a real find, particularly as one or two of the other vegetarian / vegan food outlets on the market appear to have closed down in recent months. Don't be fooled by the name - falafel is just the starting point, there is so much more to this takeaway. I have now been three or four times, trying something different each time. Most recently, I had the kimchi bimbimbap, a delicious fried rice dish with kimchi, vegan chicken and fried tofu, topped with a pumpkin-based 'egg yolk', and it is probably my favourite dish to date. The prices are very reasonable and service is prompt and - in my experience - very polite. You can even feel good about the absence of plastic from the packing and cutlery.

Love the variety on offer and struggled to choose what to have. Had already eaten breakfast and was booked into a restaurant for lunch so couldn’t order a meal. Decided on the shiitake mushroom bao buns which were amazing! So flavourful and could’ve eaten many more! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Fresh and tasty food served with a smile. Chose the "Buffalo" vegan wrap for my first visit and it will definatley have me returning to try something else. Served hot and very filling, what more do you want.

Ate here today in first time for a while. Great food as previously experienced but the customer service of the older gentleman (assuming the owner?) serving the food had A LOT to be desired. This member of staff was rude, abrupt and could barely raise a smile. Unfortunately I shan’t be returning anytime soon simply due to this reason alone. Why visit if you’re clearly not valued by the staff? Pathetic.

I have tried most dishes here and have loved each and every one of them! Flavoursome, fresh vegetarian and vegan food. We have eaten in most restaurants in Norwich but since discovering this hidden gem we are drawn to the market every weekend for this amazing street food! Like that I can pay with bank card too.

Some great combos to choose from you will not be disappointed with the variety well cooked and presented ...top draw!

It's based in the famous Norwich Market, the choice is all good, all veggie or vegan and tastes amazing. I wish we had one of these in my town. Great grub to go!

My daughter had the Halloumi burger which she said was amazing. Comes with salad and spicy fries. Service was prompt. Small seating area for about 4-6 people.

Food is absolutely amazing.. so tasty.. absolutely a must for anyone visiting Norwich. Staff could smile a bit more and be a little more welcoming but other than that food is out of this world.

What a choice of great food. Street food, freshly prepared and full of flavours. I opted for the Kim Chi Ramen Noodles, oh my good god. Simply amazing, very reasonably priced £6, I think, for the box. Just fab. Lots of food on offer in Norwich, do yourself a flavour and head over to these guys... Banging !

Street food on Norwich market is just fab so I thought I'd try something from this stall today. I'm veggie and love lunching on new things so I thought I'd order the tofu nugget satay wrap. Oh my goodness, it was crunchy, munchy, slightly spicy and just utterly heavenly. It did dribble all over my work outfit, however, so I ended up hunched over the sink in the office savouring the last few mouthfuls. I haven't tried anything else off this stall but I'd thoroughly recommend this wrap.

Simply the best vegetarian food I've ever had. Happy staff and quick service at lunch time. Good portion size and very good value. Would recommend to anyone.

Very nice wrap and bibimbap. Good portion and price. The girl who works as the chef is friendly but her father (the owner)is a bit miserable.

I have to admit I love Falafel but I'm normally a mushy pea kinda guy when I visit Norwich and the amazing open air market, but Debbie said she fancied Falafel and I said ok, but I also want peas...... little did I know the amazing selection Falafel and Friends did, the food was fresh, hot and best of all delicious, the team were funny and chatty and I didn't need peas and possibly will never need peas again!!!! Yes, it was that good and I need to get back and try others from the menu

I've eaten here about 5 times now: it really is very good value, delicious fresh and healthy food. Service is friendly, and they take out the beetroot on request. It can get crowded here though!

Falafel and Friends are my absolute favourite food stall on the market. All the food is made fresh which means sometimes you have to wait but it is worth it. The range of food caters for all tastes, from mildly spiced to knock your socks off spicy, if you ask! My favs are the spicy rice balls, buffalo chicken wrap and the kimchi bimbimbap but there are still lots of things I haven’t tried. Yum! The staff are friendly and helpful, even though, because the food is unusual, they must get asked the same questions all the time! Great to have a little seated area too. Always a pleasure to eat there

Service was very slow. Poor attitude from staff. Waited far too long to be served. In the end I took a refund and had to leave.

Have visited Falafel and Friends on 5 separate occasions and have not been disappointed. Food is freshly cooked, tasty and filling. They are often updating their menu with inspiring and delicious combinations. Definitely a lunchtime favourite in our family.

I've lived in Norwich for 11 years and I can't believe I've only just discovered this place! The food is amazing and I can't wait to try the other things on the menu. I can highly recommend Falafel and Friends for a very satisfying and quick bite to eat.

We love this place. The choice is great, everything is so tasty and fresh. Highly recommend (but not if you're after very fast food as it's freshly prepared so at busy times there's a little bit of a wait, but well worth it.) None of us are veggies but it's our favourite food stall. Today we had a buffalo burger, sweet potato burger and halloumi burger: All amazing.

Falafel and friends is a brilliant place to stop for lunch on Norwich market. It has a great selection of vegetarian and vegan food, most of which cost between £4 and £6. All cooked while you wait. Highly recommended.

When there yesterday 25/03/2019 - Extremely delight with the food served. It was very delicious and nothing to complain. The food was freshly made and the was life in the food made. Highly recommend this place to eat for everyone who loves something different in life.

First time trying vegan and not disappointed! After walking around the market and looking at all the food stalls thought we would give something different a go. I had the black garlic mushroom burger and my wife had the kimchidog, we also had a side of spicy rice balls. The staff are friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend *****

I had never tried food on the market before but saw this place and gave it a go . Vegan food but very tasty . Will definitely try it again .

We went to Norwich to experience the Christmas atmosphere, we were hungry and my daughter being vegetarian we headed for Falafel and friends. As we were there I decided to have veggie too and went for the halloumi burger, genuinely it was the best burger I’d ever had. This part of the market is my daughters go to place and from now on it will be mine too.

1st time visited. Will certainly not be the last. I had a halloumi cheese falafel wrap. Well tasty. Well filling. Tasty fillings. Well done for expanding the choice of Vegie / vegan options on the market.

Small area to eat. I was a little disappointed as served 4 small potatoes and would have expected a more decent portion. The burger was tasty, but nothing to rave about. The price was okay. £7.00 for a burger and drink. I'm not a vegan but if you are there's a good selection of food to eat.

After I big session over the weekend I went out in need of food. I was walking round the market stalls when my nose got a smell of something delicious.

Vegan pad thai is incredible, so many delicious vegetables and amazing steamed rice. Love it, they also do vegan rolls and stuff as well! Always worth the visit and great value

First time here and have to say we will be back. We both had bibimbap and they were happy to make mine gluten free. Was a hot day and it got hotter after eating this. But boy was it tasty! Loved it, made fresh as we waited, full of flavour, frieindly staff and nice place to sit to enjoy.

We had so much to choose from it took ages to decide, and then we wanted a few things changed which they did very happily, eg no harissa in one wrap, and the food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious, and really great value! Lovely!

I've been here thrice now and the food is amazing. I strongly recommend the Tofu nugget satay wrap, 10/10, or just the tofu nuggets as a side. The prices are good and the service is fast even on the busiest hours.

Been here a few times now and it's delicious. The satay wrap is amazing and the tofu nuggets are my favourite- perfectly seasoned and not oily. We visited in peak time and the stall was very busy but didn't wait for the food too long considering how many people they were serving. Staff were lovely and the food was reasonably priced, will be returning!

Been to this stall in Norwich market many times and all the different wraps have been great. A good variety of vegan and vegetarian wraps. The awesome bubble waffles are really cool and worth a try, some amazing flavours.

I love Falafel and have been to this stall many times - last time was when the fireworks were on in Norwich. There never seem to be many people though but perhaps it is because I do go off peak times. The staff, service and food is very good.

Called into this stall whilst shopping in the city on a late Saturday afternoon. The stall itself is well appointed, with a small dining area. Despite being the only customer at the time, service was a bit slow and my takeaway order seemed to take ages (as I was told the cook had stepped away). Falafel wrap was delicious though.

A really decent vegetarian Falafel Bar on Norwich market is great to see. The dishes all look and sound awesome and what I've tried was very tasty. I'm keen to get back there and work through more of the menu.

It is great to see more vegetarian/vegan options in Norwich. Today I tried the buffalo wrap of which I thoroughly enjoyed - especially the vegetarian 'chicken' and pickled cucumber aspect of it. The price is reasonable at £4.50. All the options looked great making it extremely hard to choose! The menu is creative both food and drink wise with refreshing looking drinks available in light bulbs.The service was great and I particularly liked the seating areas. My only complaints would be the falafel in my wrap tasted a bit under seasoned and I also tried the tofu nuggets - which were far too oily. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the experience/wrap enough to rate it excellent and will be back to try the marmite tofu.

Amazing falafel! Lots of different wrap options. Good price. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because only one chap was frying the falafel so I had a bit of wait to takeaway food. Was worth the wait though!

Quick stop for lunch: had the Buffalo chicken wrap - superb. Great flavours and textures. Will defo return to try more of the menu. Reasonably priced too. And I like the grass on the wall.
