Honestly the service, food and atmosphere was spot on. The service was friendly and efficient and they personalised each table. The roe buck it’s self is amazingly decorated mixing old and new with French style menu, my french onion soup was superb - don’t take it off!! Thank you

What more to say than grest fresh fried fish, chicken and savoloy. Along with chips all served in paper, had one of the best fish suppers I have had in years. Downside was no cards in Covid time, cash only but nothing to do with food.

Had to add my experience as I read someone had such a bad meal , I can not believe them as I have had food there for 16 years plus and never a bad meal , must be a competitor 🙄

Best fish and chips in the Buckhurst Hill / Loughton area. Always fresh, good portions and reasonably priced. Quality is very high and all the staff are friendly, polite and go out if their way to get to know us locals. Having a great chippie is one of those things that can make or break an area. Thankfully, we have Rock 'n Roe.

I made a telephone order and my boyfriend collected our food in 20 mins. The cod and chips were fresh and tasted good. The curry sauce and mushy peas are really nice too. Portion size was perfect. I will be ordering again!!!!

Me and my mate tim from work stumbled across this rock n roe fish bar by takeing a wrong turn we could smell the fish and chips from out side so we went in side tim had fish n chips i had half pounder with cheese onion burger sauce and chips tim had 2 savaloy i had 2 sausage in batter 4 cans of cherry coke the food was amazing the guys very friendly make sure you give rock n roe a try you wont be dissapointed

The only plaice (sorry)! to go for your fish and chips. Always freshly cooked, large pieces of fish (but have only had the medium as they never seem to have large). Chips lovely, very fast service and well worth the money. We live in Chigwell and this is the only fish and chip shop that we will go to.

Not that great. Oily and cloying food. But the guys who run it are nice! Go onto Buckhurst Hill to Queens Rd and use the chippie there. It is next to Waitrose

This is my local F&C shop. Quick service, pleasant efficient staff, good variety of fish, etc.Reasonable prices.Typical price - Large Cod and Large Chips accompanied by a large helping of Mushy Peas £10.Generous portions -The fish is so lenormous that it overhangs a conventional dinner plate.and there are enough chips to fill a large baking tray.the food is always piping hot.The shop is very clean, staff wear a uniform which adds to the their professional appearance.

Ordered fish and chips for the family but chips were dry and tasteless, fish the same. Will not be revisiting.

Never had a dodgy meal from here. Highly recommended. I visit my old mum and my wife and I order skate by phone so its ready to collect. Not many chippies do skate nowadays. Quality and portion sizes are very good.

This has to be one of the best Fish & Chip shops I know and as a born "Eastender" I should know. Generous portions and specials to order.
