Fat Fish in Rotherham

Creo que lo principal a tener en cuenta es que éramos visitantes habituales antes del cierre y siempre encontramos la comida excelente. Además, en el momento de mis visitas, no sabía que al parecer había habido un cambio de dirección. Nuestras dos visitas en junio fueron insatisfactorias. Lo intentamos dos veces para darles el beneficio de la duda después del bloqueo. En ambas ocasiones nos dimos cuenta de que lo primero que se notaba era cuánto olía el pescado (normalmente una señal de que no estaba tan fresco como debería ser). No era un pescado de sabor agradable. La primera vez pensamos que el proveedor no había almacenado el pescado correctamente durante el cierre y, en lugar de perder dinero, lo vendió. Sin embargo, la segunda vez indicó que parecía haber un problema, probablemente debido a la actitud menos que perfecta de los propietarios, hacia lo que estaban enviando. Sugiero que si quieren reducir costos, reduzcan el tamaño de las porciones de papas fritas en lugar de la calidad del pescado.

Pescado pequeño insípido, chips secos. Ni siquiera cerca del almirante y los almirantes no son grandes. Estos propietarios necesitan freír en un acantilado y luego probar su propio pescado. Millas de diferencia en precio y sabor.

Antes, nuestra familia llamó y compró pescado y patatas fritas para que pudiéramos tener un almuerzo campestre socialmente distanciado en nuestro jardín. Esta fue nuestra primera visita bajo el nuevo propietario, y estuvimos encantados de encontrar un estándar todavía alto y una variedad de opciones en el menú. Esperamos nuestra próxima visita

Visitamos aquí después de que mi novio lo aprobara un día y verificamos las críticas de Trip Advisor. Parece que hemos tenido una mala racha de encontrar comida decente en mi localidad, pero este lugar no me decepcionó en absoluto. Las patatas fritas eran gruesas, obviamente buenas patatas y bien cocidas. No me gusta demasiado el bateador y lo odio cuando está empapado, pero me encantó el bateador, crujiente, sabroso y no demasiado graso. El pescado (eglefino) era blanco, escamoso y húmedo como debería ser, y la salsa de curry adecuada para la tienda de papas fritas (no esa mezcla en polvo). Pescado preparado a pedido y ambos disfrutamos nuestras comidas. Este es ahora nuestro chippy de elección y definitivamente regresaremos, aunque ordenaré un pequeño tiempo de texto, las porciones fueron grandes y tuve que dejar algunas.

We have several fish n chip shops near us but this is no 1 for sure ' Last night we had haddock and it was well cooked and massive lol . Chips were ok but I think could be improved . This could be said about every fish n chip shop though . Service was friendly and efficient . The premises are quite small but nicely laid out and well worth a visit .For sure .

I'm so glad the best chip shop is my local one! Been to lots of different chippies on many UK holidays but none are as good as this one. Chunky chips, lovely non-greasy fish beautifully cooked. A regular Friday treat. Yum.

I live in the USA and dream of Yorkshire Fish & Chips (they are the best in the world!). The last few times I have travelled home to see family in Yorkshire I have chosen The Fat Fish for my Fish & Chip "fix". Everything is so fresh and tasty. Can't wait to be back!

Always busy but that's because the food is amazing. Fresh and plentiful. Big delicious chips. Crispy batter on lovely white fish. The curry sauce is great. Staff very friendly and efficient. The best fish and chip shop locally by far!

This place is consistently good - no doubt . Yesterday we called in and had to wait 15 mins for the haddock to cook - No problem it was cooked fresh and was really nice ,the batter was excellent ,the fish was massive which was a bonus . We had a small portion of chips to share between two of us ,we could not finish them even though they were nice . Mushy peas were "Spot On" Service was excellent and the premises looked immaculate . I think they have put some garden seats outside which is a smart move . Top Fish n Chip for miles .
