We got a coffee and donuts after the marathon, my partner was really hungry and cold, the tram were brilliant, and quick just what we needed !

Hands down the best chicken and mushroom pie ever! Crust was tender and not soggy at all. There was a lot of chicken in the filling. Ate it while walking around the market. It was so good I went back and got a second one to take away!

Food review: Decent range of burgers. Good dirty chips. Not exactly gourmet though, expect the flavour from the other fillings, not the burger! They don't have plates! You just get stuff in a paper wrap or in a cardboard tub. Good range of drinks on tap.

Good quality fast food style fried chicken

Loved this coffee shop I've stopped at many times for a coffee, located inside the station, with nice view of the station concourse. Today (30 October 2024 1pm) that all changed when I ordered a coffee and discovered it was only slightly warmer than lukewarm. I told the lady who served me (who appeared to be a manager) it wasn't hot enough, and to my surprise her reaction was to say it WAS hot enough as it had come from the machine, and she didn't appear to want to change it. Fortunately, the man dispensing the coffees overheard our conversation and immediately proceeded to replace my coffee. The new coffee was hot, at the correct temperature. Annoyed by the attitude of the lady/manager I then asked her whether the fact that the coffee had come from the machine meant it was necessarily hot enough, to which she replied yes. She then went on to say, defensively, that everyone had their own ideas of what is hot enough, and that she liked her coffee cooler! I told her I had had 100s of Pret coffees (which is true!) and knew when the coffee was below an acceptable temperature. What an awful experience, especially if she is a manager. I suggest retraining for her!

Only one waitress for a full resturant, very nice waitress so much pressure, have now be waiting 30 mins for our order won't be coming again,not the same as motherkellys needs sorting

Always get the order wrong here. You are best not adding or removing any items as it just confuses them. They normally just give you a plain burger if you remove anything. Just pick out the bits you don’t want to eat. Deliveries from here are usually cold as well - despite me only living a few min drive from the restaurant.

A bad start to the day with a curly haired staff guy in the morning. No drink service? I had an incredibly disappointing and upsetting experience at Chicken Cottage. During my visit, I encountered blatant homophobic behavior from the staff, which left me feeling shocked and deeply uncomfortable. When I placed my order, the cashier made a derogatory comment about my appearance and my partner. Instead of treating us with the same respect given to other customers, they openly mocked us, using slurs and offensive language. It was appalling and completely unacceptable. I tried to address the issue with the staff member, but they laughed it off and continued to make derogatory remarks. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also hurtful and discriminatory. It's 2024—no one should have to endure this kind of treatment, especially in a public place. I will never return to this location again and will be informing others about this disgraceful experience. Chicken Cottage seriously needs to reevaluate their staff training and policies regarding discrimination. No one should have to face such hateful behavior, and it’s clear this establishment needs to take accountability for their actions.
