Benny makes consistently good fish and chips, his fish cakes, mushy peas and calamari are also pretty good and he also does kids size portions, which is great. He is very friendly, and a pleasure to visit!

I am not usually the type of person that frequently goes for Fish and Chips. But Benny's has given me cravings long after I have gone. The service is easily the best I have ever received. They are very polite and inform you of any delays. And the fish and chips! Perfectly cooked and tasted great. The fish wasn't too oily. The chips were thick. Traditional proper chips. I had pickled onions were made on Benny's and tasted really nice too. I loved it so much I returned yesterday to Benny's. But found out that they are closed on a Sunday. Went to another Fish and Chip place near by and realised how different Benny's is. The others just don't compare!

When you've had a long day at work and the best chip shop in Clapham is at the end of your street, what can you do? Benny is a gem, I'd be fully surprised is he hadn't won every customer service award going. He's friendly and polite to the extreme. Literally you feel like nothing is too much trouble for him. Whether you are the only person in the shop (to be fair this has actually never happened, there's always a steady flow at minimum) or the place is stowed out, he has the amazing ability to remember every single thing you ordered and make you feel like you are the only person there. He always cooks the fish to order and often the pieces are very generous. And it tastes delicious! We definitely go more than we should - irresistible!

Always a great spot to get some food, the food is very taste and the service is amazing. Benny and his son really look after all there customer and are genuinely nice.

I really fancied proper British fish and chips and this place totally satisfied my craving. Incredibly good value, freshly prepared fish, it was delicious! Obviously this is predominantly a take-away which in my opinion is how it should be! Authentic perfection!

Don't be fooled by the looks of this small, family run shop. If you have never had fish and chips before or are looking for the one's you had as a child, this is the place. This local place will put out one of the best meals you will ever have and at a fraction of the price of larger restaurants. Besides a friendly face and some nice words from the owner, the fish is fresh, the chips are crisp and the portions are huge. There are only a few tables so plan on doing takeaway. We were handed a piping hot tray of food and were impressed with it all. If you're not in the mood for fish, they have other things so just ask the owner what he recommends. You will enjoy it.

We stayed at clapham guest house, in our way to the metro we saw this little corner shop that sold fish and fries, so we decided to have dinner there. It was a treat, the food was delicious and Benny (the owner) simply amazing. We got to experience an authentic fish and fries and an authentic example of British cordiality, no wonder he's been on business over 40 years. Simply amazing.

Delicious food, clean and well done! Benny is always happy and friendly, his food is a must in the neighborhood. I work a few steps from there, and is my preffered place to grab a takeaway!!

This is a local gem in Clapham old town run by a chap called Benny who is a little bit of a local legend. The service you get here is incredible - the owner and his son are so friendly and polite and the food is also impeccable. One time I went in I was short of 50p on my order and he just said 'Not to worry - bring it by next time, we cant have you going hungry on a cold night'. What a legend. Many famous locals also stop by here for their fish and chips and you can see many of their pictures adorning the walls of teh restaurant proudly.Brilliant.
