Norse

Low Harrogate, Harrogate, 30-45£
26/05/2018: Just tried to book again but sadly this great little restaurant has permanently closed. It's a sad indictment of the U.K. Restaurant science when even great restaurants fail
19/05/2018: An absolute treat. Lovely food cooked with care in a very pleasant atmosphere. If you like the taster menu experience Norse is well worth a visit.

L'Albero Delle Noci

Low Harrogate, Harrogate, <20£
12/12/2018: We discovered this adorable small restaurant yesterday and fell in love! Outstanding service from our waiter Roberto , who was welcoming, friendly and to top it all off, very humourous!!
12/12/2018: Booked here with a table for 8 (booking was nothing to do with me!) but what a wonderful time. Greeted by the manager, the menu was excellent - real Italian food. I couldn't comment on what other people has, but I had the most brilliant gnocchi with cheese - the best ever

The Station Hotel

Lower Nidderdale, Harrogate
17/12/2018: We all enjoyed a variety of main dishes of good quality . However the meal was spoilt for us by a very unpleasant balsamic dip with otherwise lovely bread and olives . We do know what quality balsamic vinegar and olive oil taste like and therefore found it offensive when we discussed with the waiter how unpalatable the dip was to be told that there was nothing wrong with it and that this was what a good quality balsamic and olive oil combo tasted like !It is a real shame as this one individual and incident has put us off returning
16/12/2018: Went there yesterday - blissful retreat from the driving rain with a real log fire and decent beer. It was a family lunch and we had some excellent spring rolls (huge) and terrific steak and ale pies.

Konak Meze

Low Harrogate, Harrogate
17/12/2018: We visited Konak Meze from Bolton on a weekend away after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. the food was amazing - we had the hot sharing platter for starters and would highly recommend it as it was a little taste of everything! The staff were very friendly and very attentive and honestly we had a great meal - no deals, no gimmicks just great food at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.
16/12/2018: A lovely spur of the moment meal. A warm welcome was given to us and we were shown to a delightful table by the window, even though we had not booked. Our selections were brought quickly, the food was freshly prepared, hot and delicious, with a good vegetarian selection. Staff courteous, friendly and helpful, will definitely return.

Orchid Restaurant at the Studley Hotel

Harlow Moor, Harrogate, 30-45£
18/12/2018: A fantastic place for Oriental cuisine.
13/12/2018: The subject title says it all. Menu so different to what you may expect with meals sourced from all over the Orient. The lunchtime express menu is good value for money. Quality is excellent and quantity what you would want. Staff attentive and efficient. A place to judge others by.

Realitea

Ripon Spa, Harrogate
11/12/2018: We had a dog with us when we visited but the staff were welcoming and even brought him a bowl of water without being asked! We had THE most delicious cake....Indian Summer and hot scones fresh out of the oven. Perfect.
24/11/2018: Having read the reviews, and knowing how popular these events are, we were fortunate in being able to book onto the special Indian tapas evening on Friday. Wow, this was the best Indian food we have ever tasted. Perfect spicing, every flavour separate and distinctive, and such a variety! Cannot speak too highly of the staff, excellent friendly service, and the chef was so interested in our thoughts.

Bean Vintage

Boroughbridge, Harrogate
08/12/2018: Came for lunch as was recommend by locals. Living in Leeds it’s nice to try these quirky little eateries rather than big chain/ commercial restaurants. Well it certainly lived up to it’s excellent reputation. Very warm and welcoming on a cold day, nice menu selection and excellent quality food. My parents and I all ate off the breakfast menu which is served TIL 12pm. Dad had the American breakfast and mum and I had the small breakfast. Everyone was more than happy with their meal. The bacon was so tasty. I also had a Black Forest hot chocolate which was fabulous. Iam looking forward to my next visit and will probably try something from the main menu although would be happy to have another delicious breakfast. Also inside is a lovely little shop selling a few things which was an added perk.
07/12/2018: Visited this place for breakfast with my wife and can honestly say it’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The quality of the food was of the highest standard.

Sasso

Low Harrogate, Harrogate, 45-60£
11/12/2018: 4 of us booked an evening meal here while we were staying near Harrogate and I was slightly concerned by a couple of reviews. I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Lovely, warm, helpful and attentive service from Jamie. A fabulous menu with so many offerings I found it hard to choose but we all agreed the food was absolutely delicious. Nice choice of wines by the glass too. Thoroughly recommended and we'll definitely go again!
09/12/2018: Went to celebrate birthday and we were not disappointed. Food was good and the staff were very efficient. Some great choices on the menu. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

10/12/2018: Decoration is "student bar" with benches but some interesting memorabilia. A great selection of British and foreign cask and keg ales with friendly and knowledgeable bar staff - Casey was great!

Chimes Cafe

Ripon Minster, Harrogate
11/12/2018: This little cafe is well worth a visit. I am a regular visitor and have been today and had a stollen scone and a coffee with shot of spiced rum - mmmmmm!!! Gorgeous! My friend had a cheese scone and a latte and my bill was under £10. I have also lunched here and the service and the food are both excellent and good value.
29/11/2018: During a visit to Ripon we met up with friends their 'favourite cafe'. It was Chimes Cafe and we could instantly see why. Situated within yards of Ripon Cathedral in picturesque Kirkgate your initial impression is that the cafe is tiny but very homely with a wide range of cakes and pastries on offer. However walk through an arch and along a passage and you find a back room and small conservatory with the same homely charm, perfect for a leisurely coffee or tea, or even better a tasty snack, all made on the premises.

Gianni's Brio Restaurant & Pizzeria

Low Harrogate, Harrogate, 30-45£
03/01/2019: We wanted to stop for lunch soon, but we wanted an authentic Italian place, not easy, isn’t it? Well, we got lucky! Gianni’s is an authentic Italian restaurant run by Italians! The lunch was lovely, we ordered pasta and pizza, and we were delighted. The home made gelato was really nice too. All in all, great value for money, delicious food and very friendly service.
01/01/2019: An anniversary is an occasion to remember an important step in ones life. We like to thank Gianni, Franca, Marco and Helena to have, with their Team made possible that this date was a reoccurring positive memory.

The Guy Fawkes Arms

Claro, Harrogate
13/12/2018: We walked into the bar and checked with the person behind the bar if it was ok to bring our dogs in. We got the nod so my wife headed towards a vacant table. The time was approximately 5.15pm on a Thursday evening. I then went to the bar to get some drinks and was informed by the same person that the dogs could only stay until 6pm, when the kitchen was due to open. We were intending to have a meal ourselves but we were told that wouldn't be possible because of the dogs. We felt embarrassed and conspicuous as we instantly had to put our coats back on and leave. I pointed out to the bar person that Trip Advisor gave the impression that dogs were welcome in the bar but not the restaurant, which is only partially true.
07/12/2018: We called in here when we had visitors. Another good meal. Large portions! My cousin couldn't believe the amount of mussels she had for her starter. I had the vegetable wellington which was very nice.

The Dining Room

Boroughbridge, Harrogate
09/12/2018: Fantastic Sunday lunch today. Great food, lovely welcome and relaxed but attentive service. The last time we had beef as good was the last time we were here!I Can't praise it enough and all at a very reasonable price. We were thoroughly spoiled.
07/11/2018: Long cold day, tired and fed up. Husband suggested the early bird at the Dining Room. They were so accommodating. We gave them about 5 mins notice and we were shown to a lovely table in a WARM, cosy corner.Absolutely outstanding food, freshly prepared, Homemade sourdough bread that was horribly moreish.Chicken parfait that was so smooth, home made almost christmassy chutney, delicious and I don't even like chutney.Fantastic wine.We would have loved one of the delicious sounding desserts but we'd run out of room! The very lovely friendly Lisa(Front of house) gave us a little stripey paper bag with the rest of the sourdough loaf to take home.

The Punch Bowl Inn

Claro, Harrogate, 45-60£
03/01/2019: Lovely old place with bags of character. Nice selection of beers but had sadly run out of Guinness (bit embarrassing for the Irish owner....). I found the menu choices pretty limited in all areas, and some rather unusual starters and desserts. My fish pie was very tasty but one of our party had fish and chips which was distinctly poor quality - very disappointing. Good attentive service but overall the meal was not memorable and probably a little overpriced for the quality offered. I give 4 stars because I can't give 3 and a half.....
24/12/2018: A Thursday before Christmas and the PB was fairly quiet - perfect for a pre-Christmas informal dinner.
