CCCP Restaurant

Eastcliff, Thanet, <20£
12/11/2018: The owner foremost makes eating here a pleasure. Ramsey has a fabulous personality and works so hard in his family restaurant. The food is cooked to order so the service is a little slower but that is great because the food is worth waiting for. Tasty and filling so much that I couldn't 'fit in' honey cake. The soups were very tasty and the main dishes - Russian chicken kiev - fabulous full of cheese and garlic butter. The Zepplins - very very filling. House red wine- very smooth and too drinkable!
04/11/2018: We went with good friends of ours, this is the second time that we have had the pleasure of eating the fantastic cuisine here. Recommend the herring and beetroot salad..Totally yummy !!

The Corner House

Thanet Villages, Thanet
06/10/2018: We booked for 8.45pm on Friday evening for 4 people. Arrived and it seemed busy (good sign), but slightly chaotic. We ordered a bottle of wine at the bar, 2 beers and eventually were shown to our table. Beers arrived and we had to chase the wine up a couple of times. Waiter came over and announced that the rose we had ordered wasn't available. We decided on another bottle, he came back and said that wasn't available either. After trying 3 bottles (all unavailable), we were told the most expensive bottle of rose was available! We did wonder if there was a hidden camera somewhere!
06/10/2018: The corner house was recommended by a colleague so on this recommendation I booked a table, when we arrived our table wasn’t ready (this can’t be helped as the restaurant was busy)

The Empire Room

Central Harbour, Thanet
12/11/2018: My partner and I had one of the best roast dinners at The Empire - thoroughly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon - great service and beautiful food!
07/11/2018: We have been here twice for dinner as a treat, because the prices are on the high-end side. The food is very well-presented and full of flavour, though we find the menu quite old-school, which is fine if you like a traditional meal. The service is good, though it's a fairly old crowd (perhaps the prices put younger people off) and it's dark as it's in a basement.

Il Tricolore

Eastcliff, Thanet
03/11/2018: We decided to visit for a quick lunch. It was delicious. We had calzone and a duck pasta , which was one of the nicest pastas I’d had in a long time! Lovely food , although wine prices I felt were a little expensive.
30/10/2018: Dinner was soooo delicious! Staff were very attentive and courteous. Relaxed atmosphere. Almost perfect, but they only had one gin and that was Gordons! 😬 I’d still go back though as by far the best meal out in ages. ⭐️

Flavours By Kumar

Central Harbour, Thanet
05/11/2018: This place is simply quality on a plate.
30/10/2018: Honestly the 'Flavours by Kumar' were something from another planet, I came here with family for the second time tonight and I had forgotten just how special it was. I love Indian food and frequent many restaurants in Kent, this was a real treat.

Bon Appetit

Central Harbour, Thanet, 30-45£
06/11/2018: Been a couple of times and long overdue to visit again! Never been disappointed and the taste stays with you even after the meal. Good size portions and nice time between servings. Well worth a visit!
05/11/2018: Always a little dubious about "family run" french restaurants after bad experiences in the past, however this one was a delight. The food was wonderful - especially the lamb and the pork belly. Both cooked beautifully, however there was a lot of sweet things on both plates, ie parsnips, sweet potato purees which was a little overpowering but still gorgeous. We did order dessert but it wasnt to our taste and the staff were fine about removing it from the bill as we didnt enjoy it. the wine was good and the service was great as well. Will definitely be back!

Albarino Tapas Restaurant and Bar

Bradstowe, Thanet, 20-30£
11/11/2018: We love going to Albarino - the tapas are a mix of traditional spanish and new creative inventions by the chef. Never a dull moment. and the wine list of extensive.
06/11/2018: The food is great value for money, delicious and the restauarant is welcoming and comfortable. A place that is well worth visiting

The Mad Hatter

Margate Central, Thanet
03/11/2018: For some reason I’d been put off in the past by the outside signage but I think they have changed something as this time I peered in and saw teacups lines along the windowsills and thought “this is for me”! I wasn’t disappointed!
29/10/2018: What a wonderful experience! We felt we had gone back in time to the 1920s.I half expected to see my grandparents there in their younger days and tell them how well we had turned out. Fabulous atmosphere and lovely food aswell. Definitely our favourite place to eat and relax in Margate and yes we will be coming back next time for a full blown three tier afternoon tea.

Tartar Frigate Restaurant

Bradstowe, Thanet
31/10/2018: The restaurant is located in an upstairs room overlooking the harbour. We had a lovely window seat. Our party of four had both fish and steak dishes all of them being excellent. The service was absolutely spot on. In fact probably the best in any restaurant I have had in several years. There was a difficult customer behind us being extremely difficult from the moment both she and her family walked in. The staff and manager bent over backwards to keep her and child happy whilst handling a very busy restaurant. Very impressed how they kept smiling and kept everyone happy. Very good menu and definitely worth a visit. I will be back next time in Kent.
28/10/2018: Good food, great surroundings.Time between courses a bit lengthy, but service was friendly an not overly obtrusive. Will definitely book again

La Magnolia

Central Harbour, Thanet, 30-45£
04/11/2018: My husband and I visited Thanet area for the first time and booked La Magnolia based on reviews and their fantastic menu. We were not disappointed. The staff were really welcoming, the food fantastic and atmosphere intimate yet buzzing. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
26/10/2018: Specials board menu has great choice and good valve

Wyatt & Jones

Bradstowe, Thanet, <20£
03/11/2018: The restaurant has a lovely interior and our table had a view of the beach. Our fish dishes were simple yet packed with flavour. Staff are chilled and friendly. We were staying in Deal but glad we made the train ride to Broadstairs to try this gem of a restaurant!
02/11/2018: Très bonne cuisine, simple , fraîche et de qualité, pleine de saveurs. Service parfait et souriant. Face à la mer. Superbe déjeuner. Merci

Belle Vue Tavern

Cliffsend and Pegwell, Thanet, <20£
03/11/2018: Arrived to a lovely friendly welcome seated upstairs family meal 5 people gorgeous sea views lovely ambience in restaurant.
24/10/2018: This pub is a beautiful place for a spot of lunch with a glass of wine.

Beaches Cafe Bar

Bradstowe, Thanet
27/10/2018: Decided to impulse book a trip to Broadstairs and decided to take our dog as well I mention that because we knew that unless we found a dog friendly restaurant this could be tricky my wife and I also follow a strict Ketogenic diet which if you do also can also be challenging at times.
23/10/2018: We called in for a light bite and were provided with good food and friendly service.

Secret Spices

Salmestone, Thanet
06/11/2018: Often go to secret spices as it is our default Indian out of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. We've tried others and in some cases the food is on par, but this offers the full package, good food, friendly accommodating staff, nice decor and good prices.
05/11/2018: We dined here tonight for my husband's birthday. Would highly recommend. We were impressed by the layout of the restaurant, and was warmly greeted on arrival and seated. The food we had; sheek kebab starter, chicken tikka masala, garlic and keema naan, garlic aloo potatoes and pulao rice. We could not fault any if it, and we are already planning another visit soon.

Birchington South, Thanet, 20-30£
16/10/2018: Liz & Patsy run a great place, very welcoming, lovely piping hot food & a great selection on the menu. The place is spotless & I use it all the time. From breakfast's to lunches its always lovely.
14/10/2018: What a gem of a find is Zara's. I had a superb delicious English breakfast yesterday . The plate was piping hot ( important ) and the food simply yummy. Staff all are lovely and friendly. Frequented by many locals regularly and its easy to see why.
