The Elsted Inn

Harting, Chichester, <20£
07/02/2019: Really no reason for this wonderful pub to lose a star - not in my review anyway. We stopped by after a walk on the S Downs way and were bowled over by the quality of the welcome (we were late), the food (it was eye wateringly wonderful) and the beer (it was beer!).
30/01/2019: Popped in here for a quiet drink and some lunch. We were blown away by this place! The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the place itself had a real homely welcoming feel. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family. Thank you!

The Three Horseshoes

Harting, Chichester
12/02/2019: Lovely food and friendly staff, would advise to book during the summer months if it is a lovely evening they have a lovely garden to sit in and look at the views
16/01/2019: Gorgeous old country pub with more charm than a Pandora's bracelet! Rough beams, exposed brick, low door-frames (careful!), big open log fires, flagstone floors and that wonderful woodsmoke smell. Loved it! Staff were utterly charming and so accommodating. Only one veggie option (risotto), but offered to make something up for me if I didn't want that. I went with the risotto and it was dreamy. Partner's sausage and mash was hearty and filling. And one pud beat the two of us! If you're looking for cosy character, make sure you sit in the bar/lounge as the dining room lacked some of the atmosphere. Would love to come back again one day!

The Keepers Arms

Harting, Chichester
19/08/2018: As the title says. There is no longer a pub here. It is now a private residence. The nearest pubs are the Elster Inn ( very good) and the pubs in Rogate and Midhurst.
16/03/2014: Very sad, we had visited this pub in the past and have always had a great meal, sadly not today, the sea bass was off as was the rack of lamb, my husband had saddle of lamb that arrived nearly raw, the lamb had been advertised with dauphinoise potatoes, they came with mash, I had belly of pork served on a bed of again mashed potato and cabbage with no crackling. When the lamb came back well cooked there were no apologies and nothing taken off the bill. I has been a meeting place for the family as it is half way between us and my son and his family but we shall have to find somewhere else in future
