The food and service here is brilliant. The ham, Welsh cheddar and piccalilli baps are unbelievable 😋 lovely sausage rolls too. I used to shop at the Big Rock but that has gone downhill rapidly. This place is first class, will be back soon.

Fantastic little local cafe’, great food and friendly staff. Was nice to be made to feel so welcome and we enjoyed our time here. Coming back multiple times over our weeks stay. Even taking bread and cakes home with us to Derbyshire. Kids loved the football table! We will be back again in the future.

Thursday 31st August 2023, my husband and I went back to the ‘The Welsh Highland Railway Tea Room’ in Porthmadog for the Malcolm Green's funeral wake and to celebrate Malcolm’s life. This was a very fitting tribute as Malcolm and his wife Non used to run the tearoom, sadly both now deceased. There was a nice buffet and we all sat and we spent time talking to friends and relatives and lots of love and memories were shared by all those who knew and loved ‘Malcolm’.

Delicious baked goods. Chelsea buns are my favourite but the kids love the cakes and iced buns. We get our rolls and bread from Newells every time we visit Porthmadog, wish we had a bakery like it at home!

Please do not advertise you accommodate gluten free without knowing what you are serving, even more frustrating when the customer politely asks if it’s safe for them to eat. I requested a gluten free salad, it was served with cous cous which I questioned, for the waitress to explain that’s something they were confused about however still continued to put it in front of me for me to eat! From then on no member of staff came to check on us further as I think they knew they were at fault. Appalling service I was left to eat something when I’d questioned it with no reassurance, also questionable if the pickled beetroot was gluten free (barley). Being coeliac isn’t a life choice it’s an autoimmune condition, do a little bit of research

We identified the Australia as we have the tricky balancing act of having dogs and my sons gluten intolerance. It qualified on both counts so credit to that. The beer was awesome and the fish was spot on on my wife and kids plates, that's where it ended. I was starving hungry and I ordered the burger and chips, the burger no complaints but the chips were anemic on all our plates and not much effort with bulking up the burger. For the price, my plate was utterly disappointing. Had it been a tenner I'd have shrugged it off but for £16, it was ultra disappointing. Go for the beer, leave the food well alone.

Fantastic service and gorgeous food as always. We visited porthmadog and our first destination was allports chippy. I would like to thank the 3 young gentlemen who served me, they were fantastic and they were very welcoming. The food we had was cooked well, and so tasty. My brother had sausage and chips, and the chips were soft on the inside and lovely and crisp on the outside. Myself, my mother and my other brother had the Southern fried chicken breasts. Our favourite go to food from this great chippy. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavourful, with a lovely crispy Southern fried coating on the skin. I will definitely be visiting here again in the near future. Thanks again lads .
