Wow what a find, great selection on offer when for the sausage roll with Brie, apple and cranberry …. It was immense could of easily had 2 or 3 but then I would be a fatty. I would recommend this place if passing and after a quick meal / snack fix

Just after noon today (Tuesday), I purchased a couple of warm savoury pastries for me & Hubby. These are popular so there wasn't many left to choose from. They cost £6.25 (contactless card payment accepted). We went across the road to the Park to eat our lunch. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his turnover which was packed with bacon, sausage, cheese & tomato. I really liked my large sausage roll which was filled with sausage meat (of course) but with added black pudding & tomato. Both savouries were superb and satisfying.

Stopped in after walking past the window and seeing these sausage rolls with enormous looking sausages in them. Had no plans to go to the bakery at all. Then found that not only did they do standard sausage rolls but also “filled” ones which had a filling down the length next to the sausage. We tried the black pudding, cheese and bacon, and Brie and cranberry and they were all amazing. Wanted to get another but there was so much meat and filling in one I could’t have tackled another! The tastiest sausage rolls I’ve ever had. Planning next year’s holiday just so we can be nearby and come back!

Had a two night stay here over the weekend of the 6th Sept and what a wonderful little place it is. Emma and Menno were the most welcoming, friendly hosts and we immediately felt like this was a home from home, our room was very cosy and complete with home made Welsh cakes that went down a treat with a cup of tea after the long drive. The breakfasts were amazing and with the added twist of a Dutch breakfast option courtesy of Menno. The tea rooms are currently closed allowing for a lovely spacious breakfast room which is decorated with photos and keepsakes from all over the world. Emma gave us pointers on the local eateries and places to go and even filled up our water bottles for us when we went out on our hike. This is a fantastic base for walking with easy access to both the Rydd Ddu, and Snowdon Ranger paths up Snowdon as well as having several lakes and close by to the Nantile Ridge. Ty Mawr is currently up for sale which is a shame because we would definitely stay again. Thank you Emma and Menno for giving us a really lovely stay.

Staying at the Celtic Royal again we decided to treat ourselves! Slightly put off by seemingly expensive menu but the portions were amazing and food cooked to a really high standard. And then, the puddings! Amazing choice and absolutely delicious! We’ll be back - I hope!
