This was our 3rd stay at Plas Dinas and once again, we were not disappointed! We had booked a 2 night stopover in the fabulous Lady Armstrong Jones room and were shown to the room by Rupert who was obviously very proud of the room refurbishment and the wonderful en-suite bathroom. The evening meals were delicious. We bumped into Chef Daniel one morning and congratulated him on his appearance on The Great British Menu. We had been following his progress during the programme and felt very lucky to meet him in person. A fabulous stay and wonderful hospitality from all members of the team. We will be back!

My sister and I were gifted an afternoon tea which we were looking forward to very much. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea, could not fault anything. Very impressed with the service and the fantastic afternoon tea . Looked and tasted beautiful. Spent two hours at our own luxury and made most of the comfortable interesting lounge. Highly recommend an afternoon tea experience , ideal gift or as a worthwhile visit .

Perfect weekend stay. We stayed for two nights at Plas Dinas, and were welcomed in right from the first minute. Beautiful rooms, cosy drawing room for drinks, and an amazing restaurant in the Gunroom - keen to come back again!

Myself and wife arrived quite late so were not able to enjoy dinner. However we recieved a warm greeting from the owner, enjoyed drinks in the lounge and were able to have a walk in garden before sunset. Room was clean and overall setting and feel was very nice. One point for consideration would be to perhaps consider serving breakfast from 7.30am opposed to 8am as this may assist guests who plan to walk Snowden. Many thanks Manraj Singh

We were here for Mother's Day! it couldn't have been a better place to celebrate Reka.... the ambience is elegant but not pompous, the service was incredibly attentive, we thank Liam, Oliver, Mabon and Elin who made this day even more special...and of course the kitchen staff. we opted for the snowdon afternoon tea, each element is carefully prepared, was an experience of flavours and atmosphere, and also my 5 year old daughter enjoy the afternoon tea. Was really nice to talk to Daniel, the owner, and before we left, Reka had a gift for Mother's Day, a nice bouquet of daffodils.

Nestled amidst the picturesque Welsh landscape, Plas Dinas stands as a beacon of exquisite attention to detail and personalised service in the realm of wedding venues. I've had the privilege of working as a photographer in this enchanting setting on numerous occasions. One of the most admiral features of Plas Dinas is that they only host only a select few weddings, ensuring that each event receives the utmost care and attention it deserves. This deliberate emphasis on exclusivity not only elevates the overall experience but also allows for a level of care and intimacy rarely found elsewhere. Each wedding is tailored to the unique preferences and personalities of the couples they host. Rather than imposing a predetermined style or theme, the venue gracefully molds itself around the individuality of each pair, resulting in celebrations that are as diverse and distinctive as the love stories they commemorate. It's rare that we are able to directly support fellow wedding suppliers but that Plas Dinas have their own restaurant meant that I was able to surprise my wife with a meal at the venue, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Literally some of the best food in the area. Couldn't recommend them more!

This is possibly the best coffee in Barmouth. Nice atmosphere and lovely furnishings inside. Only had a toasted tea cake here but looking at the menu everything looks reasonably priced.

Coffee and food advertised is great, however if you’re craving extra bacon with your avocado on sourdough toast forget it! Such a shame would have 5 stars otherwise ….

This hotel may be suitable for couples looking for a quiet getaway for a day or two, but unfortunately, it falls short for families with children or people wanting to stay longer. The main menu has very limited options and does not change. There is no children’s menu available, and when I asked about meal options for my kid, I was met with frustration and told that the only fish available was a £25 pollock and the portion size was tiny! The rooms, while cosy, felt overpriced for what they offered and had a peculiar smell. For the rate charged, I expected more comfort, luxury and space. To top it off, I had informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating a birthday, yet there was no acknowledgment—no special touch, not even a simple birthday greeting. It felt impersonal and underwhelming. Overall, not a great experience for families or special occasions. Would not recommend for those traveling with children or hoping for a memorable celebration.

We visited Bank restaurant on a quiet Sunday night. Very few restaurants seem to be open in Barmouth on a Sunday night. There were 2 other tables occupied and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. The selection of music added to the atmosphere. The lady who looked after us was lovely. The food is worth every penny of the price. We would eat here again when back in Barmouth.
