One of the best chai lattes I've ever had!

Lovely stop for a hot drink and something sweet after Harlech Castle. The Pastel de Nata was beautiful and my fiancé said the Rhubarb and custard blonde was really good! Lovely atmosphere, highly recommend!

Tasty and flavoursome food, with well-sourced ingredients and a modern, small menu of toasties and similar. Rather expensive for lunch, however. Just a shame that when querying a problem with our order (we did not agree with the server’s account of what we’d been told about the spicy sweet potato soup - it was entirely unsuitable for our 5-year-old diner) the server was quite aggressively defiant and did not offer any form of compensation.

By far the nicest Cafe in Harlech now. Everything about the experience was special.

Ordered 3 ‘meals’ which were the only 3 available at the time which was already disappointing. The price of these 3 meals was ridiculously expensive for what it was. A pasty for £12, advertised to come with salad- came with a bit of rocket. Quiche for £10 and a sausage roll for £5.50. Our food was also forgotten about had to remind staff, only 2 on at the time- very understaffed. Cramped cafe. Nice atmosphere and the food was nice but far too expensive for what it is.

Love this place! Shopped and had breakfast and Chai lattes here back in October. So many lovely items in the shop. The owner puts a lot of care and thought into the things she sells and is so friendly. The cafe is wonderful! Best chai latte (and latte art) I’ve had in some time! And excellent avo toast!😁

Excellent flat white (with a lotus biscuit), friendly folk, have been here many times. I can't comment on the food, but the cake that we tried was very good.

So disappointed. Visited in April with our 2 dogs inside. No problem. Visited today. Asked to sit outside, in the rain. Why the change? Took our custom elsewhere. Not a good atmosphere either. So sad.

Beautiful cafe. Happy and friendly with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Gorgeous design touches which made it very special and unique. It was so busy the day we were there but everyone got quality device regardless. Delicious food and coffee that was out of this world! Fantastic!

Great little place on the High Street, joined with Interior Design shop. Well worth a visit. Small breakfast menu. We had tea with avocado on sourdough, totally delicious, smashed perfectly with a little spice and great garnish

Great coffee, great music - beautiful cafe.

My first time at this establishment. Ordered 2 lattes (a standard latte and a matcha latte). The staff were friendly and the interior design of the cafe is very well appointed. Coffees were delicious, especially the matcha latte. They have a sign outside claiming to have wales best coffee and I can vouch for that. Will definitely return soon.

The cafe is pretty and for adults the venue is lovely (food and drinks were great) but with a family there are issues, albeit that could easily be solved. There is no baby change in the toilet (a wall drop down looks to be easily accommodated) and there is no kids menu. Both these things made our visit much less enjoyable than it might otherwise have been. I appreciate the venue might not want kids (although there is a high chair) but surely in a town that has such a strong seasonal trade, alienating a big proportion of holidaymakers seems silly.

Lovely little cafe and the food was unreal! We had lunch here and would 100% recommend it.

Went with the family, ordered a round and nibbles. Once served the lager was warm. We ask for a colder one and got told that that is what they had and that's it. Got offered to add some ice to the beer or a wine cooler. They refuse to change for once of the others beers and very unwelcoming. If your beer isn't cold, let the costumer know before he gets it. They probably thought they would get away with it because we were foreigners.

Wir waren nur auf einem kurzen Stop zum Kaffee hier. Da bereits auf einem Schild der Kaffee als der "Beste" aus Wales angepriesen wurde versuchten wir es auch. Wir haben in Wales schon viele wirklich ungenießbare Kaffees erhalten, aber hier fanden wir das erstmal einen der wirklich gut war! Das Essen sah wirklich gut aus. Und die Preise sind für Britische Verhältnisse in Ordnung. Beim nächsten Stop in Harlech werden wir mehr Zeit mitnehmen und einmal die Speisekarte weiter erkunden!

Great place would highly recommend staff are very friendly and helpful. Very great service, and food/tea I purchased was lovely. Felt comfortable and warm environment. Will go again when I'm next over to Wales.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Llew Glass Coffee Shop in Harlech, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. This coffee shop has truly set the bar high for excellence in both service and quality.

Lovely little place, superb food at reasonable prices, well presented. Staff are lovely too. Also have a little shop with wonderful unique things in it. Worth a visit!

Lovely outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Coffee was good although cappuccino cup was larger than Americano. Just over £6 for both.

really lovely staff and location, food was tasty but very small portions for the prices (almost £10 for a small slice of quiche and a salad). if you’re looking for a sustainable meal then do look elsewhere as this is more of a light lunch.

Placed my order at 12 got it at 12:50 got told they lost the order but in fact took it too another table what a joke and to only say sorry and offered a free glass of tap water, not worth going again , unless you want this type of service. Every were els would of refunded you

Attracted by the classic stylish outdoor area we went in and found a great menu. I had the avocado on toast, delicious, nutritious and beautifully presented with a great coffee too. New management fairly recently and they don't seem to have a good online presence yet but 'Caffi Llew Glas' on trip advisor has a good set of recent pictures.

The food here is absolutely amazing, the staff are friendly and they have doggy treats you can get for your dogs!

Came across this inviting little haven on a wet and windy afternoon. Everything was promptly served and the pistachio frangipani cake was particularly delish! Lovely decor too. I wish them lots of success for the future.

Coffee and cake were lovely. The low rating comes as the weather was so bad, pouring rain and wind and my partner and I were the only ones in. These 2 girls arrived soaked to the bone, freezing and with the smallest dog and despite the place selling dog treats, having wood floors so no carpet that dogs could mess on and being empty the girls were turned away as dogs were not allowed. We just thought that due to the weather and the fact the girls were clearly cold and wet and in need of a little shelter the staff could have let them in.

Rude staff, and I mean really rude. And I'm Welsh and been in Harlech for 5 months. Seriously if your reading a good review on here they must have written it themselves They have spent a fortune on this little courtyard, what a waste if you're not going to be pleasant and at least courteous I will not be going back

Lovely cup of coffee, great cakes and very friendly staff. It all helps when you're cycling up the hills around Harlech. Even a bike rack outside the cafe.

The food here was amazing, the presentation of the food and the tastes were 10/10. The variety of cakes and pastries were brilliant. A very highly recommended and well presented cafe.

Great food and service at the Llew Glas cafe! We initially sat outside but the weather turned so got a table inside. The soup of the day was nice and the salads and sandwiches were very filling. The scones and cakes were also excellent and the staff were really good even though they were rushed off their feet! Sad to hear that this cafe might be closing as it really is very good!

We searched for this tea shop after seeing a 5 star review- most definitely not - stale cake and scones - awful tea, service ok

Stopped for lunch after a walk on the beach. Lovely homemade food, quiche was really tasty,. Great coffee and cake to finish. Very dog friendly on the terrace. Friendly and welcoming staff

Visiting the Castle we looked for somewhere nice for lunch and this was much better than nice. Food prepared very fresh, lots of good choices and very friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely atmosphere. Well worth it and great value!

Probably the worst and most expensive takeaway sandwich we've ever had. Avoid if you're planning on take out. The takeout coffee wasnt too bad otherwise.

We sat for lunch in the courtyard which was a really nice environment. Staff were very pleasant and well set up in the current restrictions. We thoroughly enjoyed a sourdough roll and generous goats cheese salad. Couldn’t leave without trying the delicious cakes too!

I generally find the positives in most places and have to date left very few negative reviews. We ate here on a very busy day, potentially the reason for the disappointing service. However, on arrival we went up to the till to ask if it was order at the counter or table service to be given a very stern "Just grab a menu and find a seat", ok fair enough. Next we popped up to ask if they do a child's menu (perfectly reasonable question), again a very stern response was given "No Just the menu", I get you probably receive this question on a regular basis but there's a way to approach your response. Then to the food, and here is where the restaurant gets 2 instead of 1, the server was very pleasant. We ordered a cheese and chutney sourdough roll, which consisted of a small amount of cheese and 95% chutney, which made the sandwich incredibly sweet.Poor customer service, poor food. Maybe I just visited on the wrong day? Such a shame!

Been here before and will come again on any visit to Harlech. After climbing the hill to the town, calories are not a problem having burned off 1000 on the way up. Tuck into their gorgeous cakes and scones. Enjoy sitting outside with gift shops surrounding seating area. Not the cheapest but quality costs a little extra. (Only a little extra). Don't be put off

Lovely cafe. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We came and everywhere else was closed, and they were clearly very busy, but the staff were so lovely and professional. The staff are an absolute asset and we were honestly so impressed. Thank you!

Nice sight in Harlech and prices ok. However long wait for food that was good but not specular (ordinary rolls) considering number of staff available. Waitress was lovely sorting our order twice when wrong things came out. Some of the seatings were also rather small with families expected to sit on what appeared to be childrens benches.

We called today just saw it when passing. What a gem! Great friendly service and delicious home made scones and cakes. Highly recommended!

Have come away feeling awfully ripped off. The price wasn’t properly signposted so I was surprised when they charged me £18.30 for two cheese sandwiches and two coffees. All they gave us were two basic cheese sandwiches, and charging £6.95 each for them. We went to complain, and the server told us that the usual chef was away today, and admitted the food was of lower quality. He did not offer any refund. We came away feeling utterly robbed. We ordered a panini, pesto, mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes. Served with a fresh coleslaw and salad. I ordered one and requested an extra set of cutlery. That’s absolutely no problem, we’ll serve it on two plates came back.A very professional attitude complimented by exceptional quality food. Thank you, a delicious light lunch on a sunny day. I can only wish you success, each member of your team deserves it.

Such a nice clean cafe with excellent quality food and drinks, fresh bread amazing home made scotch eggs, I came back they were so good. We eat out quite a bit and I love cooking and the one thing that makes a decent cafe is the noticeable quality of the food, the menu is only small how ever we realise the less on the menu often reflects the better quality food and more time for prep and faster turn round of fresh food so less chance of items being held longer. The staff were so lovely and helpful, I appreciate the recyclable cutlery it's a good idea. We will be back.

Really lovely freshly made food, stopped by today, on a whim, popped in clean friendly environment, saw homemade scotch egg with salad and chutney, it's absolutely delicious not like the dried up cardboard eggs from the supermarket, that taste like sawdust. I love a good homemade scotch egg, I want to go back back and buy more to take home

We always visit this cafe when we are in Harlech because the food, coffee and staff are so nice! This time we had carrot cake and Victoria sponge and two lovely cappuccinos. The service is excellent.

We popped in for coffee and a snack after visiting the castle and sat in the courtyard in the sunshine. We both had a cheese scone and it was the best I’ve ever had - large, moist and wonderfully cheesy. I had a macchiato too but it wasn’t too my liking. Lovely staff.

A cute little tea room in Harlech just a short walk from the castle. A lovely old building with courtyard seating. We popped in last weekend and social distancing measures were in place to keep everyone safe. The staff were friendly and asked if there were any allergies, listening attentively to our reply and accommodating us...THANK YOU! Food was delicious and everywhere was very clean. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Excellent service - lovely staff, friendly and professional. Friend was gluten free and they went out of their way to ensure she got a safe and delicious sandwich. Nicest most delicious tuna baguette I’ve ever had! Nice side salad surprise comes with the sandwich. Will definitely be back!

Stopped here for a coffee and a sandwich and everything was very good. Spent a leisurely time sipping coffee and watching people wander buy in the courtyard. Sandwich was excellent as was the coffee. Happily recommend

Always lovely fresh tasty food.

Due to Covid19 restrictions we sat in the courtyard bathed in sunshine and enjoyed a delicious cream tea. The staff outlined the measures they’d taken to ensure our safety and that of the staff. Tables were more than two metres apart and hand sanitiser was provided. The coffee they use is roasted locally and was really good and the scones were fresh and substantial. Local jam and cream was also delicious and we noted that when a table was vacated it was immediately cleaned and sanitised. Staff were so lovely and a bonus on that day was our food bill was halved due to the eat out scheme through August. If you’re visiting Harlech please give this little independent cafe that specialises in home made/ local produce, you won’t regret it.

Visited on several occasions for a morning coffee stop and for a couple of late lunches. The staff are welcoming and very efficient and do a great job of keeping the place sanitised. Sandwiches were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed the fruit scones.

Friendly staff. Had a really nice tasting cappuccino and a delicious scone with jam and cream. All single use condiments and equipment due to covid. Tables socially distanced. In centre of Harlech main street set back in a lovely courtyard. Would definitely recommend!

We ordered cappuccinos and americanos and they were really good. The cakes looked amazing and the staff were all very friendly! Only negative was they were a bit slow but only due to waiting on a delivery of more cups. Would go back!

Once again when on holiday in the area we visited several times.Just coincided with easing of lockdown and staff were very efficient and organised.Almond croissants were exceptional as was toated goats cheese sandwich(best ever)Top quality food.Will will return.

We went to Harlech to visit the castle but after travelling a couple of hours to get there decided to try to find somewhere to eat lunch. As it was a Monday in the off season the town was quite quiet and the first couple of places we found were closed. Luckily we stumbled across the Llew Glas Cafe. It was very unassuming but had a score of 5 on the door. On entering the cafe we were welcomed by the girls working there and told to take a seat and they brought us drinks menus. The food menu was on the call board and was not over complicated but catered for different tastes. There were four of us dining and we each found something we wanted to eat. Quiche, soup, Toastie and Welsh rarebit. None of us were disappointed. We also each ordered a hot chocolate, milk, white and dark, and were very happy with our choices. The food was delicious and the drinks were indulgent. We finished off with Bakewell tart and Victoria sponge both of which looked and tasted homemade. If ever in Harlech again I would definitely visit this cafe again. The entire experience was enjoyable. Good food and drinks, a warm welcome and a very clean environment.

I attended this lovely cafe in the first week of January. It was cold and wet outside and everything else was closed apart from this cafe which provided amazing food and warmth.

Lovely quaint cafe on the Main Street in Harlech. Nice friendly welcome, lovely sandwiches and coffees. Baquettes served with a good portion of quality mixed salad and crisps.

With me being nearly sixty and having a massive sweet tooth I have probably eaten my body weight in cake many times over and I do like a piece of Bakewell tart this was by far the best I have ever eaten it was lovely I want to say moist even though that word is banned in most places now .The coffee was excellent and the ladies behind the counter were very friendly it's just a shame I live 240 miles away .. Got to be massive thumbs up from me ..

My husband and I were visiting Harlech and stayed in Harlech for the week. We had coffee in this cafe and was not dissappointed We both had cake to. I had gluten free brownie,it was delicious. We would go back again.

As periodic visitors to Harlech we often go to Llew Glas for a coffee or light lunch . You are always greeted with a smile , food is all freshly prepared and the cakes are to die for . ( The latest entry into the best cake competition is a bakewell tart whose texture and taste would win any bake off . Call ahead if you need !) It is no wonder that even in bad weather the establishment is always full . It deserves its success.

The homemade broccoli and stilton soup was the best we have ever tasted but unfortunately the half of white roll that came with it was tasteless. Delicious latte in a proper latte glass. The scones were ok but were a bit crumbly and we were not keen on the icing sugar sprinkled on top. A cosy cafe and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
