Caffi Ni in Gwynedd

We called for lunch and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly & said we could choose any table so we opted to sit outside as it was a rare sunny afternoon. Two things let it down Firstly they have a very small chalkboard with the days specials on, but they didn’t tell us about it & we couldn’t see it as it was propped against the side of the counter & people were stood in front of it. Secondly, although they told us there would be a wait, 55 minutes was a long time considering we were only having a sandwich each, and only 3 tables were before us. It was still an enjoyable visit & we’re planning on returning.

If you want excellent food , excellent service at a reasonable price. Then this is the place for you. Much of the the food is home made and exceeds all expectations. The views are to die for and owners and staff are very friendly and happy to cater for special dietary needs.

Great food. Had a large breakfast, and it very filling. Ready to walk up one of the nearby mountains to walk it off. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Dylan and Nia are very good at what they do, from a very hearty breakfast to a delicious light lunch to a fantastic Sunday roast and the best Afternoon tea around. Never dissapointed with the food or the welcome. The location has fantastic views too. Diolch o galon am fwyd bendigedig unwaith eto. We visited today as a party of 11 and everything was seamless. Best roast dinner we have had, proper homemade food. And a warm welcome as always. Thank you very much, see you soon.

Closed for private event. Checked both google and Facebook to check it was open before getting off on a hike. walked for 2 hours, arrived around 11am, and sat down, plenty of space only a couple of other diners eating. The waitress came and said they were only open for a pre-booked afternoon tea event. I feel that if the owner had known we were unlikely to have been turned away

I've eaten at Caffi Ni many times for breakfast, brunch and lunch! I have enjoyed the food on every occasion. If you are up for a snack the homemade cakes are great to eat in and/or take away. Both the interior and patio areas are beautifully presented with the most fantastic views! Caffi Ni can cater for both small and large groups (we've been with both) we've always received a warm welcome and the service is excellent!

Just had a fantastic small breakfast. Lovely bacon, sausage, perfect fried egg, great brown bread, super hash brown, beans and very nice mushrooms. Great mocha and amazing staff. Highly recommended!! Ardderchog o dda. Hoff Caffi!!

I had a lovely lunch with my partner, very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. For a cafe of this size we were happily surprised at the variety of choices on the menu, the portions were sensible and great quality! The staff and owner were really nice and we were looked after well throughout our visit. We will be back!

Just stumbled upon this cafe and it turned out amazing , it’s only small but the food is delicious and fresh the serving team were outstanding and beautiful location Dogs are not allowed inside The afternoon tea you need to book we will be returning for this thanks

A very pleasant experience with friends and family. The Afternoon tea was the best ever service was great and a very warm welcome.

Told of 45 minutes wait, long but hungry so ok. An hour and a half later asked where food was breakfast turned up within minutes food ok but understaffed unfortunately. Felt sorry for girls serving.

Travelled from Anglesey for lunch which is approx 30 miles. We sat down at the table and waited and waited and waited which we didn’t mind as it was a little busy outside. Everybody had delicious looking food in front of them and we couldn’t wait to order ours. We asked if we could see a menu to which the waitress said that they had stopped serving lunch and it was only 12.15. They said that they were only serving drinks and cakes.No reason was given at all and no apology. It would have been courteous to be told when we arrived. Now if this had been the first time this had happened, then fine but this was the third time of trying to eat there and there is always something with this cafe. Other friends have said the same. They are closed or they have a private function or something. If you decide to go, try to phone first( if you can get a reply). I think we’ve now given up on Caffi Ni. Anyway, we had the most delicious lunch in Oriel Glyn y Weddw in Llanbedrog instead.

We were recommended this café by the guys at Cwrw Llŷn brewery. The ploughman's was brilliant, four good cheeses, a thick slice of ham, chutney, pickled onion, and a good salad, a hearty portion too for a sensible price.

Just passing through and drove past caffi ni not sign posted very well so turned around and came back. Lovely spot lovely view. Stopped for lunch didn't like chips so much but rest of food lovely and good value, staff friendly.

Camped here and really enjoyed everything.

Went 3 times to Ni and the staff and food are superb , a little wait for the third visit but we didn’t mind , home cooked burgers chips and lovely side orders . It’s a great place and the owners and staff are lovely people . The breakfasts are tremendous . Can’t wait to come and visit again . Diolch 👍

It’s in a nice spot for a sit. Sadly nothing began bar chips on the menu (it’s 2023 c’mon!!). They were pretty busy and the chips took a while to arrive.

It’s got a great location. Say the only thing on the menu suitable for vegans wash chips 😞. They were really busy and the chips took an hour to arrive .

We called in for a spot of lunch on journey home and we are kinda sad we didn't visit earlier during our stay. Had two lovely Ploughman's that were beautifully presented with very good quality products, really tasty!!. The staff all had a small and service was just right all in all a great place with lovely views over the coast. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely be a regular during the year. Recommended by a friend so we booked in the afternoon for dinner at 6pm. There was limited choice but everyone in our party of 8 thought that their food was excellent - I'm planning on coming back here soon.

We visited this eatery for breakfast on the recommendation of a good friend who lives locally, and our party of 4 were glad that we did. One of the nicest cooked breakfasts I have experienced away from my home. This is not a greasy spoon cafe, in fact, not even a greasy plate cafe. The two of us men went for the large breakfast, the ladies went for poached egg on toast, all cooked to perfection and delivered to our table by some very polite and attentive waitresses. Hardly any fat slipping around our plates. A breakfasts so good we had to visit the second day to experience the whole thing again, set up for the day.

Had 2 lunches here whilst on holiday in Nefyn. The food was wonderful (especially the home made cakes, delicious!) The staff were kind and very helpful and the setting was amazing, sitting eating lunch looking at the mountains and the sea. Just perfect.

Long wait for food. Forgot the toast. Food ok but of a poor quality. Lunch may be better. Nice and clean. Plenty of parking.

Brilliant service and fantastic food well worth the money

I am local and ive been here many times before and always had a fantastic experience with beautiful food and fantastic waitress service. Went a few days ago for my birthday and sat in the snug as we had a 5month old baby and didn't want to disturb anybody. It was beautiful and peaceful in there but I felt we was forgotten. After a while we realised the waitress wasnt coming back to ask if we wanted any more drinks and the dessert menu. we had to go to the counter and order more drinks and dessert. Never had to do this in the main dinning room. Always get fantastic attention and never any need to get up from the table. After saying this the food was lovely. Just got forgotten.

Couldn't dine inside as we had a dog. Very hot day and the staff let us move an outside table into the adjacent shade. We ordered baked potato with cheese and the ploughmans. Absolutely wonderful food. The staff are friendly and attentive. Couldn't fault a thing.

We were encouraged to go here by family local to Caffi Ni. We can see why and will definitely be back. Food was prepared well with good quality fresh ingredients. Good portion size and very reasonably priced. Was a bonus to have a choice of draft beer as well. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Ample choice on the menu for under 5s too.

We came on recommendation to this cafe and were very disappointed to say the least. Beautiful Cafe obviously quite new in a lovely location. The staff were very nice ! The coffee was very nice. It all went downhill from there. Two of us had lasagne, I can honestly say that I've never had to ask for a spoon to eat lasagne, clearly not made by an experience cook or chef, the chips weren't very nice and only warm and the garlic bread was rock hard. Sadly we weren't asked if we wanted vinegar or and sauces. I had some that was quite nice, but the bread was dry the butter was hard so I couldn't spread it. Usually soup comes with a roll or French stick. And last but not least one of us had the chicken curry which looked revolting dark brown in colour and overcooked chicken chicken. We can all make mistakes but we need to learn from them. I didn't want to make a scene so I have left a review.

Lovely little place, and very friendly and helpful staff. We only stopped for a drink while we waited for a taxi, but they opened the beer taps just for us.

Great cafe in a beautiful place. Delicious fresh home made food. The owners make you feel very welcome and the front of house staff are always pleasant and attentive. For anyone concerned this cafe has disabled access and disabled toilet facilities. For people with dogs there is seating outside and canine friends although not allowed inside are made welcome. A Welsh Gem.

Had a couple of tables outside which is not enough and wouldn't allow dogs inside so did not stop. Instead when down to Nefyn beach to the Siop a Caffè Treeth Betws IsIyn and had a lovey Cornish Pastie, Millionaires Shortbread and coffee.

Worth persevering to find this gem. It’s out of Nefyn towards Pistyll it’s opposite a caravan park which is in the left. The staff were so welcoming and made us a delicious breakfast choosing what we fancied. Great coffee too 😊

Excellent fresh and local food. Choice of cake and the sandwiches were plentiful. However, the chicken, leek and ham pie was absolutely delicious and we bought some to take home. Dylan and Nia cannot do enough for you. Can’t wait to go again! Diolch o galon.

I have had many afternoon teas but this surpassed them all,it was fabulous, everything was fresh and tasty, unlimited tea, never ever had one as good as this, definitely recommend booking and I hope I get to visit again.

This little cafe is on the Wern Farm campsite where we stayed. You wouldn’t believe how good it is and it’s so unassuming. The view is great, the family that run it are so warm and friendly and the food is fantastic.

If your in the Nefyn area you’ll have to visit caffi ni,you must book in advance because they are extremely busy.its a family run cafe,Dylan the husband is front of house and is quite a character with good banter.Nia the wife does all the cooking everything is homemade,and beautifully presented,and even made time to come and have a chat with us.we had afternoon tea and i highly recommend it.will definitely visit again.

We arrived to a great welcome from Nia & Dylan and were seated promptly. We then had the pleaseure of eating the Afternoon Tea which was served superbly with bottomless Tea!!!!!! The whole experience was very good with friendly service and we shall definitely be returning soon, an absolute gem of a place with just the right atmosphere and we returned for lunch and then breakfast on our last day on the Llyn. There is also a lovely sun terrace which is dog friendly with superb views down onto the beach and beyond, thank you

Bit tricky to find but absolutely fabulous afternoon tea, all delicious homemade sandwiches, quiche, chicken pie, scones to die for and cake (which we took home as too full !) with wide choice of beverages. This is a great small venue, very welcoming hosts, nothing too much trouble. We also bought one of their steak and kidney pies for the following day which was delicious. We'll definitely be visiting again - and again.

Visited here today for the first time with my daughter, you wouldn't even know it was there unless you were looking for it. It's small cosy and warm inside despite the weather chucking it down outside. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely lovely. We had the afternoon tea and are already huge fans of the chicken + ham pie (we will return just for that :p).

Arrived to find a warm welcome and lively atmosphere. A small cafe with a big heart. My husband doesn't drink tea or coffee and usually has no choice except water, not here. He had a choice of soft drinks or hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was lovely and most welcome on a wet December afternoon. Our Afternoon Tea arrived with fresh sandwiches, homemade quiche and homemade chicken and leek pie. All absolutely delicious. A lovely pot of tea for me. Then came a choice of cake, scone with butter, jam and clotted cream and vanilla cheesecake with raspberry running through. All homemade and again absolutely delicious. We were offered more drinks if we wanted them. It is a cafe we will return to and can only say again a little cafe with a big heart. Travelled a 150 mile round trip and it was worth it.

We had read the other reviews on Trip Advisor about this Cafe and were so close we thought we would give it a go. I say close, Sat Nav and Google had us going in different directions. In the end we called into a local shop and they directed us up the road towards Pistyll. There is a tiny sign on the main road saying coffee served but not the full name and as you drive up you are still unsure whether you have found the right place. We did try to contact the caffi to get directions but they do not have a web site. We had a scone and coffee and i was impressed that they should carry a dairy alternative. The scone was presented with a side of jam, butter and a strawberry and was very nice. We also purchased a home made pie and the filling was delicious. It was chicken, ham and leek pie and there were decent size pieces of chicken in it. I say a caffi going places because they told us about plans they had to expand. The setting is lovely with views out towards the sea. We wish the couple every success.

Had pre-booked afternoon tea for two mid week and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious- sandwiches were fresh with a variety of fillings, the quiche and chicken and leek pie were fresh from the oven. Ideal for a lite lunch, tasty paninis and frsh side salad, folloed by the best home made choc cake. The afternoon teas need to be seen and sampled and you need to be hungry before your visit.The owners who do all the home baking are warm and friendly. Well worth a regular visit. Ps the home made meals to take home from the freezer are tasty and very handy at times ideal!!!!!

Have visited Caffi Ni several times in the last year for Afternoon Tea, and take away pie's the afternoon tea is always the same delicious food, consistently perfect!!!! At a very reasonable price.I have visited many a resteraunt in London and you can't compare Caffi Ni is much better. The Owners Nia and Dylan are also the perfect hosts. You are treated like family and always made to feel welcome. You must try their take away pie's the ingredients are of top quality and so delicious. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.
