Friendly staff, very inadequate sandwich filling! Paid £3.95 for an egg mayo sandwich, there was a very small blob in the centre of the t cake none around the edges and the bread took over the taste, I did ask the waitress if they had forgotten the filling, she replied no she made you an egg mayo. No attempt to rectify, also my grandson got a child’s lunch box, his sandwich was adequate but the orange was very old no flavour and extremely tough a dry. On the plus side my daughter said her pie and peas was nice. Afraid we will not be retuning.
We’ve tried a number of other Chinese restaurants and takeaways around the Halifax area, but none compare…
Its not as cheap as some, but you get the most delicious food, it’s certainly worth a bit extra!
We usually get takeaway, but have also eaten in.
The staff are always very welcoming and attentive, and food is cooked and ready in a very short time
One note to anyone going though… they no longer take card payments as they had a never-ending stint of failures from the card machine…. So, make sure you take some cash!!!
Our favourite is the deep-fried chicken in plum chilli sauce… you get a full chicken breast battered and sliced, with or without veg (I always ask without) and the sweet sauce all over
The egg fried rice is lovely and no extra herbs or spices, just the egg
We also get the chips (more to bulk out the meal a bit) and my wife loves the Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs
They do deliver, but you get a discount off the price for picking up yourself and a free bag of Prawn Crackers!
Always good-sized portions and we always save half for another day
It’s so morish – a proper treat every once in a while, (usually when the kids aren’t at home!!!)
Defo recommend

I ordered for collection and the food was ready within 20 minutes. The kebab was great, full of flavour. The chicken burger was good too.
However, the pizza was extremely thin and was cold by the time I walked the 5 minutes back. The chips were soggy and undercooked.
Worse place I’ve been to me and my close family went . Had no food come through was sold it was cancelled but then our money was still taken and no refund has been given back when ringing this business and explaining a problem they sat in silence and ignored us prior five minutes before. When finally picking up and explained I was ended on with no response . If you want a nice bit of food go anywhere else but here If you want to keep your money
Late food was soggy to waited that long kids looked at it and decided there bed was more appealing and foods gone in bin won't be ordering again absolutely dreadful delivery guy didn't apologise for been late either
The Cafe used to do full meals and breakfasts now it is basically a coffee shop with the old buns and cakes. We used to look forward meeting up for a Christmas breakfast prior to doing or big Christmas shop but now can't as they don't serve so we will have to shop elsewhere, can Sainsbury's afford to loose this custom for sake of a few breakfasts ?????
Just had their £3.95 Breakfast deal, plus a filter coffee, £2.00! A generous portion, but food could of done with being a bit hotter. Filter coffee was nice and strong.
I liked the fact that the young waitress gave me a small jug of milk to pour into the coffee myself...
The premises, especially the tables, looked spotlessly clean, always a good sign as far as I'm concerned.
Will bring the wife here next time I'm in this part of the world.
David.
So after reading the reviews me and my brother thought we'd give it go.......how wrong was we!! So ordered large chow mein and fried rice and paid extra £1.50. It came early half cold to start then we opened up bag to find our large was standard size tubs, rang them and offered me a £1.50 refund, trying to fund out how to do that was another drama! It's dint even taste of anything to make matters worse. Me and my brother love chinese and are angry and P****d off I don't recommend this place at all
