The best restaurants serving Default food in Wharfedale Bradford Yorkshire and The Humber

A Sam smiths pub with a real fire and cosy atmosphere, ideal for a stop off on a winters walk. Lovely beer.

We tried to visit today 6th May 2025. The pub sadly seems to have closed down again.

Came for Mother’s Day lunch with family and friends , staff were attentive , the lunch as always (we come very Sunday) was delicious, hot, extra gravy, sauces and the extra touch of daffodils was such a welcome touch. Very reasonably priced as well, a credit to the floor and kitchen staff on an exceptionally busy day.

Unfortunately a very bad experience - the chicken burger was seriously overcooked to the point it was not edible. The chips on the other hand were undercooked as was the bacon on the loaded fries, the chicken wrap minus salad was shocking in value for £7, the deserts were still frozen which I discovered nearly breaking a tooth on a profiterole. Extremely disappointing

We had a donner kebab, veggie samosa vegetarian curry. The food was very generously priced, I was expecting it not to be so good give it was cheap. It was delicious. Empty plates all around. They called me up as they had run out of veggie burgers and offered me a curry instead. The rice was delicious too with lots of chunky vegetables in. Excellent service. Very quick. So wasn’t waiting long neither. 💯 would recommend!

Had a very lovely dinner, the waiter Alex was very very polite and accommodating,went above and beyond, will definitely be returning!

Used the restaurant both nights on our stay at the hotel. Good selection of dishes and the food was delicious. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Husband rated the steak pie as one of the best he had ever had.
