The best restaurants serving Default food in Boothen and Oak Hill Stoke-on-Trent West Midlands

We booked dinner at the Coast Bar and Bistro, and were really impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The bread to start with was so tasty and warm, we wish there was more! However, it left space for a delicious beef madras, and the creme brulee was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. So rich and creamy. Would happily return!

This place has had some questionable reviews in the past but don't let this put you off trying. I don't know whether there has been a change of ownership but I have made this a regular stop. Quick service whether delivery or collection. Their Set Meal Deal is a steal in my books, Yung Chow Fried Rice, Duck in Black Pepper Sauce and Crispy WonTons with Sweet and Sour sauce for a very reasonable price. Sauce is flavourful, meat tender and comes with good variation of vegetables to round out the meal. Last time we went they have Siu Mai on offer, if you're a fan of steamed dumplings these are worth picking up, exactly what you expect from an authentic Siu Mai. The only thing that knocks this place is that you can have a differing experience every time you go, your sauce may be more or less thick and with a slightly different flavour. The vegetables in your meal can be different or the amount of meat. Although never at heavy detriment to the meal it can be detract from the meal.

We managed to get a walk up table for myself and my son which was great as we expected it would be full. The menu was good lots of choice and we chose and appetiser and a main. 20 mins after finishing our appetiser the waitress came and asked if we wanted the bill. I said we hadn’t had our mains yet and thus began a 5 minute dialogue about whether we had. She then realised she hadn’t given the go ahead to the kitchen and did so with the food arriving another 20 mins later. The food itself was good but by this point it was clear the staff were way over stretched with every table around us waiting for something. We skipped dessert for that reason and got the bill. The atmosphere amongst the staff seemed stressed and like they couldn’t wait to just get out of there. Not the relaxing dinner we were hoping for.

I ordered 4 extra hot latte and various food buy time I had paid for ordered the person had already made the coffee's I felt the cups and new straight away that they were not extra hot as I order them all the time. I mentioned it to the woman making the coffee are they extra hot and she said yes then charged her mind as she looked at me and then said we only do them to a certain temp. I said I think they usually heat the cups first with hot water then she said I ready did that which she did not. Took them to the table and as we drank them they only warm but it was pointless taking them back how is it at most costa when you order extra hot they make an effort to make them hotter not impressed. Worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten. Woman behind the counter was polite and looked like she was listening although wasn’t at all as everything was wrong. Asked for bacon and sausage roll and a cheese and bacon roll, 2 cans of pop, 2 blue drinks and a white coffee. My friend ordered simple things too such as an oat cake. They didn’t have any oat cakes or nice bread. Waited almost an hour for food to be cooked. But we weren’t actually waiting for our food. We were waiting for the lady to cook everyone else’s food first even people who came in after us. Then said everything was in the bag. Burnt bacon. white normal basic bread. No sausages or sauce. Oh and they forgot the cheese and bacon roll so she quickly cooked it and was done in about 5 seconds so I have no idea why we had to wait for so long. Could have walked to the shop bought bread and bacon and sausages and oatcakes, walked home and cooked it all and eaten it in less of the time spent waiting here. Absolute joke of a place. Don’t make a sandwich shop if you can’t even cook a bacon butty or improvise when a delivery is late.

Got my order wrong 3 times then there was no meat in my keema nan so iv got 6 curry's sat in my house that no-one can eat because it tastes that bad so ur new chef u have got is going to lose u business iv be a regular for 6 years never again will I be ordering with ur self

Just paid £24.99 for a 12 piece boneless meal and when I got home to the family I had been given 8 pieces of chicken. Blonde girl with glasses gave me a funny look when she handed me the food. Now I know why. At least she's sorted her food for when she has a break. How she chokes on it. Gave one star because that's the minimum the review will accept.
