The best restaurants serving Default food in Tern Shropshire West Midlands

This place spoilt my 69th birthday. The food was mediocre the service was aggressive and considering I had booked a table for 10 an hours drive away because of the reviews I was devastated. We kept trying to order wine and they only had one bottle of each and when we complained that one wasn’t up to standard were told it was a matter of taste. We then found out it was changing hands the next day so I hope it is changing staff too. £800 for a really poor lunch was not what I had imagined . Don’t waste your money , I have no idea where these other reviews came from. I feel very sorry for the new owners. I never write negative reviews but this was dreadful, thank goodness for understanding friends.

The service was great and the food even better.

A lovely community pub with AJ, Joanne and the staff most welcoming. The pub has been completely and tastefully refurbished in the last year. Food now is excellent and the real ales are always consistently good. The village is most grateful for this wonderful transformation.

Went for family meal last night. We had different starts…goats cheese with beetroot, sauteered mushrooms and prawn lollipops. Followed by rib eye steaks and fillet steaks. Deserts of ton mess and cheesecake. Food was excellent. Staff were super and efficient and friendly.. this was our second visit and will be returning in the summer. Lovely evening and ambience was super and relaxing. Thank you all.

Great tasting great value still. Large fish and chips and curry sauce to share. I think it was £11.50.

My friends & I visited for their bank holiday tribute event, the music, the atmosphere, the food; everything exceeded what we expected! You can understand why they won garden of year! The staff were so friendly, warm and welcoming despite being under such pressure with just how busy they were! The pulled pork nachos were delicious and the steak I ordered was cooked to perfection! Definitely recommend visiting the summerhouse!

Lovely welcome in from the staff, The roast beef was cooked lovely, served with lots of different veg. I had no room left for pudding.

Amazing night again at the corbet, the weather obviously attracts alot of people to the corbet arms because of their amazing beer garden. We went on a Friday evening and it was clearly very busy but the staff deal with it all so well, super friendly and efficient. Could not fault anything with our visit!! Can't wait to go back again. Thanks to all the team.

This is a fantastic pub /restaurant We had attentive service from the staff and the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming! Now the food was out of this world ! Melt in your mouth steaks cooked to perfection! We will definitely be eating here again soon !

We enjoyed our Sunday carvery and will be back for another carvery soon. Generous portions and a good selection of veg. We had a look at the food menu for when it’s not a carvery and a mix of Indian and typical pub menu so will come try that sometime too.

The Haughmond has much to recommend it, from the warm welcome from Mel and her team, to one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had - amazing eggs and a special breakfast board full of treats ahead of the main event - we forgot to ask where the eggs were from. We stayed in the Muntjac room - facilities were fine, bed was comfy, lovely views over the fields towards the Wreakin. We ate in the in-house restaurant in the evening . Food cooked by Mel’s husband was really very good - we both had French onion soup followed by cod. The wine was also delicious and reasonably priced. Service again was friendly, warm and attentive . Can’t fault this place for the price - definitely recommend for a lovely night away in the country that won't break the bank - we combined it with a trip to Shrewsbury which is around 15 mins drive away.

Good service, variety of coffee and a very interesting ancient ( probably 400 years old ) building. Special interest for tourists.
