I don't know why I haven't reviewed this place sooner, visited a number of times and every time it would receive full stars. Staff are always friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble, the food is to die for and by far my favourite place for a Sunday lunch as everything is fresh and plentiful. The burger nights cater for all appetites and tastes and pizzas are by far the best around with ample toppings to tease your tastebuds, with the added bonus that you can take them away if you wish.

Dropping in for a quick beer I found it was burger night at the Red Lion in Bomere Heath. A lively table of locals and a couple who made the effort to travel further were the first good signs. A good cellar of Joules brewery beers and a glance at the menu was enough to have me sitting and ordering and I was not disappointed. While other customers tucked into freshly cooked and well presented meals ranging from the classic burger, a Bomere Heath stack, chilli burger and even a vegetarian one, I looked forward to my lamb burger. I was served with a moist and well prepared burger, a light salad and the sweet potato chips, which I choose over the option of skin on fries. A mayo sauce dip for the sweet potato chips, a really tasty lamb burger and washed down with a pint of Joules Blond beer. You couldn't fault the quality or the value with good beer and company, and wine and a gin bar specialty, all in a friendly local pub. A good night and a great meal.

Lovely food can tell it would be even more gorgeous if we ate in as takeaways never taste the same but it was full of flavour and the chocolate brownie was unreal
