Can't comment on rooms as didn't stay overnight. Great meal, good service, really enjoyed our evening.

Start with the bad (not that there was much bad) the milkshakes really took a long time to arrive, but this me being very picky. The staff were all extremely professional and friendly, orders were all taken correctly and food came out in a very timely manner. The food itself was great as usual, and very filling. Thank you Ruebens for the great evening and the food. Myself and my friends really enjoyed ourselves.

Good service considering they were busy, good selection of drinks. I thought the food was a bit disappointing, the starters were fine, the ribs were noteworthy. For the mains, my burger was okay, main problem was that I didn't think the Argentine loaded fries were very nice and they were like £20, they were very oily/greasy and felt like they were lacking something. I would recommend their Sunday roast, it was an interesting take on a roast and I felt like that one was very good value for money. I'll use Reubens in the future, but I don't think I'd splash out on their more expensive items again.

Another visit for us and this time we had starters, mains and desserts!!.. Our drinks order was taken and arrived promptly We had the chicken tenders and belly pork bites, both were delicious and very moreish. We all ordered burgers and shared some fries. Very tasty burgers and the fries were nice and hot too...couldn't fault it or the service..the guy was extremely friendly and welcoming without being in our faces.Next to the desserts!!.. delicious, especially the cheesecake..generous sized portions too. Wow... we have never been to whitchurch and had done a 6 mile walk, the food was delicious I had the Sargent Pepper burger, the beef was cooked perfectly,side of garlic mac and cheese which was the best I've eaten bar my wife's! Staff super friendly and helpful with out requests, thank you to Tom , Ellie, Izzy and Grace we will make the journey from Crewe to return.

Nice place with friendly, welcoming staff. Great menu if you are a meat eater and huge portions 👍 The food was tasty, and I had a nice pint of Goose Island ipa. There is accommodation available upstairs and the rooms are clean and tidy with normal tea & coffee. A small cereal breakfast is also included. Would recommend Reubens, and it is a good place to come to if anyone is finishing the sandstone trail in Whitchurch.

Really good food. Not overly expensive

We booked into Pepper St rooms above Reubens for a one night stay and enjoyed a late lunch at Reubens. The menu had great choice and we enjoyed an excellent burger with fries and some tasty nachos. Service was great, Tom was particularly engaging. Our room was compact but well presented and the bed super comfy. It was quiet. There were plenty of public car parks around, very reasonably priced and it’s close to the high street. Breakfast snacks were provided in the room and as well as standard teas and coffee there was a cafetière with fresh coffee.

Takeaway ordered, delivered very fast and nice and hot! Food was really tasty and the bbq beans are out of this world. Sell these by the bucket please! All round fantastic place and we will order again soon.

I went with 3 friends on a Wednesday night which is half price burger night!. The burgers and fries were all delicious and served in a pretty acceptable time .We decided to order desserts too but after waiting at least 40 minutes for them we decided to tell them not to bother in the end. They seriously need more staff to cope in the kitc and waiting on. Kind of spoilt the meal to be honest

If you like comfort food, this is the place to go. The burgers are cooked to perfection and there is a wide selection. The choices for sides and sauces are also amazing, all with great flavours. Great prices too and perfect for any time of the day. Compliments to Dave the chef and the service we received from Tom was top notch. Thanks so much guys!!

We went for food here last night after seeing pictures online. The service was impeccable. Tom was lovely and accommodating. The cocktails were lush, especially as it was happy hour. The food was to die for and came out hot. Will come again.

Had a delivery from Reubens Whitchurch tonight and hands down it was the BEST it’s ever been. Absolutely cooked to perfection buffalo bill chic burger was melt in your mouth and burger pattys are that homemade they ain’t even round. What an absolute treat. Lovely restaurant, quiet and kid friendly.

Stopped for a meal here as we have eaten and enjoyed ourselves at the Congleton Reubens. The whole vibe and atmosphere have been replicated as has the great menu. The young staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! Highly recommended

The food was really good however the service sadly wasn’t. The person taking our order didn’t know what beer/ciders were for sale meaning we had to leave the table to go to the bar to take a look ourselves. When asked about cider she said they did an apple one. What though?! Thatchers/magners?? She didn’t have a clue. One dish came with Ruebens house sauce- again we asked what this was she didn’t know and just answered you know it’s just the house sauce! Was it bbq/tomato/mayo/cheese based- she really should have known this. Staff let the place down.

Me and my boyfriend visited both on the Saturday and Sunday lunch for a sat and to meet up with some family and friends They had amazing staff and amazing food with creative names thank you so much for the staff that were working both Saturday and Sunday (max and Izzy) for making our visit the best as possible. I would 10/10 recommend and I will definitely be visiting again thank you so much for the amazing service and food ❤️

Took the family here for food today, incredible scenes. Moved to the area recently and will be making this spot one of our regulars with a likely chance of a hangover visit on a Sunday. Vast selection of vegetarian option, burgers, sides and fries with a twist which make you want to revisit to try them out. Thank you to Matt and Izzy for looking after us. See you soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Reuben’s Bar and BBQ, and overall, it was a delightful experience. Went in on the off chance of a table. Great service. I asked if food had chilli's in, and he said NO as allergic to them. Food came ate one bite of the ribs, and yeah, got chilli's in. I asked again, they said they would ask and sure enough chilli's. Needless to say, I ate very little else and not an offer of money off through their mistake. Daughters meal was good. Shame mine was ruined, not happy

I have now been to this restaurant 3 times and I have loved it every time but I must say our last visit was brilliant. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday, this was a surprise and she didn’t know we were coming or that are friends would be waiting for us at the table. They were very discreet and made sure not to tell us the rest of our party were already there. We were served quickly and the young server did very well to handle all 7 orders that were being told to him. He even repeated the order to ensure that nothing was missed. Everyone enjoyed their food and it came very quickly. We even had a birthday cake that was bought to us by the staff who were all singing. I cannot rave about this place enough. Tom was our main server and he was absolutely fantastic and he had help from the equally brilliant Ellie. I’m sure we will be back!!

We have eaten in a few times but seen that they deliver and wanted to have a night in. The food was perfect and was just as good and tasty as when in the restaurant. Very nice and soon arrived. Thankyou very much. Will order again soon.

What a performance order by bar code... Really covid is over. McDonald's don't even ask for stupid requests like this anymore .. Don't think I EVER HAD take the blame if the kitchen staff don't like sending burgers out with out relish.. The poor server explained she would get her marching orders. I said simple we would go somewhere else. The burgers did eventually arrive no relish. And really not the best the kitchen staff did there best to make a point. Slow service and poor quality.

Reubens sits just off the highstreet with parking available either adjacent or just down the road. Soon as you enter, the ambience is great, lighting not too bright and it is spotless with great decor. All staff are friendly. Ask and they try to provide best they can Food was delicious - I went for philly cheesesteak burger and cheesey garlic fries. Just bear in mind you need to order both! Would recommend booking - it fills up very quickly

Absolutely horrific experience at Reuben’s. We dined as a family four - two adults, two young children. We were greeted by a young chap who didn’t even say hello as we walked through the door - just “have you booked?”. I was left stood at the till with two young children whilst he walked off. Another member of staff asked if we had been seen to and I said I don’t know - the original gentlemen then reappeared and ushered us to a table up the corner. There are no physical menus, we figured out for ourselves that we had to scan the piece of laminated paper with a QR code on in the middle of the table to bring up the menu. 20 minutes later a member of staff appeared and took a drinks order. First visit to the bathroom resulted in the door handle coming off in my hand. We thankfully did not get stuck, however I notified a member of staff and gave them the door handle to which he said “yeahhh we know”. Food took 35/40 minutes to come out after our orders were placed. Kids meals were okay, basic burger and chips and tinned sausage for a hot dog slathered with ketchup. Adult meals were revolting - we had jerk wings, large nachos with “pulled pork and pit beans” and the boneless platter. The jerk wings tasted like washing up liquid, the nachos had baked beans on them with packet sauces and the meat was cold and bland. The boneless platter was luke warm when it arrived. Not once did a member of staff come over to our table during our meal and ask if everything was okay. Second trip to the toilet with youngest child resulted in my husband and youngest getting stuck in the toilet for ten minutes. My husband knocked the door until someone finally opened it. He handed the member of staff the door handle and said “that’s no good is it” to which the staff member responded “yeah, I know, we need to get it fixed, it’ll be fine”. My youngest was absolutely terrified and beside herself. She came back to the table in floods of tears and not one member of staff asked if we were okay. A waitress was serving the table behind us (a large party of adults) and I asked her for two apple juices and a Pepsi as my youngest child was still very worked up and it took them 20 minutes to bring the drinks over. Unclear on how to pay the bill as nobody comes over to your table during service so we just had to stand in the middle of the “restaurant” and wait for a member of staff to appear as they are never anywhere to be seen. Honestly, I’ve had better service on McDonald’s car park from the click and collect service!! The food cost us £65 and it was disgraceful. Even upon paying the bill nobody asked how our food was, nobody asked if everything was okay. Staff need some serious retraining. No point advertising quiz nights and painting nights when you can’t get simple service and a good meal. Never again.

Recently had a meal out at Ruben's. The food was lovely. Our server Jessica was really great. Very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for her. Would recommend going here.

Very modern bar in the heart of Whitchurch. Good selection of well known and lesser known craft ales and lagers. Staff were attentive and polite (I think the main barman was called Tom). Food was traditional pub fair with a modern twist, very tasty and filling. Definitely be coming back!

We stopped here for lunch whilst in the area for Santa Island and loved everything about it. The food was AMAZING, the service from Tom was extremely friendly and so helpful, he couldn’t do enough. This was our first visit but certainly won't be the last, Rubén's is a little gem of a place with great food and drink at good prices. We had exceptional burgers and sides cooked excellently and exactly as ordered with Tom the manager and Izzy providing perfect hosting and fab service. We luckily chanced upon the last Friday of the month night live music night and we loved it, the atmosphere was amazing. We'd like to see a darker ale offered alongside the vast range of lagers and IPAs, wines and spirits. Thank you for a great night out!

Had a unpleasant experience at Rubens last night. The restaurant was so cold, we were sat next to 2 radiators which were stone cold, we had to sit and eat our meals in our coats which was very unpleasant and not how we wanted to spend our meal out. We ordered J20 from the drinks menu, when it arrived it looked too thick to be J20, didn’t taste like J20 and had bits in, so we took it back to the bar and explained we didn’t think it was right and requested a new one in a bottle. We were told that they ‘make their own J20’🤣 Definitely shouldn’t be falsely advertising a branded drink that they make themselves. We waited just over an hour for our food, the restaurant was not busy at all. We were told the wait was due to deliveries.. surely restaurants orders should have a priority over deliveries! We weren’t informed of such a wait either. When the food did arrive it was lovely, well presented, flavoursome and delicious. Just a shame the overall experience wasn’t good.

Really good service, seen straight away and all the staff polite and helpful, giving suggestions about pudding which turned out great as our waiter Tom recommended the Biscoff cheesecake and it was amazing! Very affordable. Big up to Tom!!

Fantastic discovery in Whitchurch. We know there are high brow Michelin restaurants in Whitchurch and plenty of takeaways, but this bar, hotel, and restaurant is a great, fun and tasty discovery in the backstreets of Whitchurch. Great burgers, ribs, pulled pork selection. But also vegetarian and vegan options. Friendly and efficient. Great beer selection. Cocktails and a nice covered terrace for evening drinkies.

Ordered a take away from Ruebens, big portion sizes and still very hot! Also ordered entirely through Facebook messenger! Excellent service!

We had a takeaway from reubens last week. Very prompt and friendly responses when we ordered via Facebook. Food was fantastic, the bacon double cheeseburger was on of the best I’ve had in a very long time! Ribs were delicious with great flavours, portion sizes were very generous (huge portion of nachos ) our loaded fries didn’t travel very well but we did live 25 minutes away and we knew that would be the case so order them if you live near by! Food was piping hot when we got home so we could dive straight in. Can’t wait to visit again!

Once again, we were not disappointed. During this lockdown we have had a fair few take outs from Reubens. And I see more on the horizon Nina and her team never fail to deliver. The food is always amazing, and the Covid measures put in place make me feel safe.Thank you Nina and Reubens for giving us a bit of sunshine during these times.

So we had our first Reuben’s takeaway last night and it did not disappoint. Easy to order via messenger, arranged so I was the only customer in the restaurant to collect and the food was delicious! Highly recommended and can’t wait for a time when we can dine in

Considering the new Covid rules of table service, we were not asked for refills of beverages, or food that was supposedly unlimited sides on the ‘unlimited’ Sunday roast. The head waiter was rude, and unapproachable. Decent food, however spoiled by the Lack of customer service.

This place is stunning inside, such a comfortable, social vibe. Food was absolutley lovely, staff were fab. Highly recommend this place for a group - loved it - Will definately be back. The restaurant didn’t answer our Facebook takeaway request message so we called them to place our order, which worked better. We got a friendly welcome when we collected the burgers which were ready on time.There was a good portion of food and the burgers had an authentic taste. Disappointingly they forgot our sauce pots so we didn’t get the full taste experience. Prices are not cheap.

Booked a table the night before such a friendly team, was served straight away and had a great waiter called James, who was chatty and very welcoming, I would honestly recommend this place to anyone passing or who lives in this area, great value for money, we’ll definitely be coming again.

Stayed here for work during the strange pseudo-lockdown period that we're in at the moment. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant weren't open so I can't comment on the food and drink. However, the venue itself looks amazing and when it's back fully up and running again I would imagine that it's a great place for a night out. The manager Paul is a star and couldn't do enough for me. The rooms are large, clean and modern and you really couldn't wish for anything else.

We ordered, paid and collected our food with minimal effort and no hassle. It was all really fresh, warm and tasty, we particularly enjoyed the fries! Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the mushroom starter. The burnt ends were disappointing but the chicken and brisket were nice. Beer was good and service was friendly.

Been here quite a few times since it opened, the food has always been good but on my first visit the service let it down some what! On the last few visits Paul and his team have really made a difference, really friendly helpful staff, great food - couldn’t ask for much more!

Tried Reubens on the off-chance while visiting Whitchurch today and we're really glad we did! From the moment we walked in we got a very warm and friendly welcome from Paul and his team. We couldn't decide so let him recommend something and he nailed it! We had a mixed platter to share and the food was succulent, REALLY tasty and plentiful. We really enjoyed the food and will definitely visit again. Thanks Paul for an enjoyable visit.

We tried the sharing BBQ platter - it was the ideal choice as it included a wide variety their bbq meat choices and plenty of the sides.All were delicious - pull pork was moist and well cooked, the burnt ends were a little chewier than I was used to but still very tasty, the chicken was superb and the Reubens BBQ sauce (their own blend) was spot on. Overall we had a superb meal and left feeling very full indeed!

Went here on a Tuesday evening with my daughter and her boyfriend. Excellent food, reasonably priced & great service - Paul was both friendly and attentive, and overall we had a great time and will definitely be back!

We went for my sons birthday. Great food, I had fillet steak with all the trimming and sauce £25 which I thought was spot on. Colonel burgers looked amazing and they all enjoyed them. Relaxed service with Paul making sure we were well looked after. Was recommended and will be back to try other delights from the menu.

So me and my friend are in the area staying at a hotel and luckily found this place as the food was outstanding. We both had burgers they came out quick and they were honestly stunning and big portions! The puddings were almost the opposite took 3 times as long as the mains to come out, we both had the pizza dessert it was sickly the dough looked barley cooked, and there was massive lumps of brown sugar under the ice cream. Although pudding was a let down, the mains and the service was incredible. All waiters were really polite and all seemed genuinely happy, and the lady that dealt with the complaint about the pudding was extremely helpful and understanding. Couldn't recommend this place enough, just avoid the pizza desserts

We had a lovely lunch at Reubens. The menu is big but we chose the sharing platter with meats and sides and it was lovely. The drinks menu is good and we enjoyed our beer. The service was really good, very attentive. A lovely meal despite being quiet.
