What a lovely pub on a Sunday afternoon after a 5 mile walk round the local countryside. You can't go wrong with Joule's! Friendly staff and landlord who remembered us from our last visit a month ago. Top beer plus the lovely Lakota! Sunny outdoor garden seating area with friendly cheerful locals. We will be back!

Has so much potential to be a lovely Pub, joules pub so nice beer on tap, nice friendly bar maid when I visited but very un-welcoming owner there is outdoor seating with current restrictions being up to 30 people outside but nobody seems to have told him as they are still restricting 6 to a table.

Landlord very hospitable. Normally doing Sunday lunch but was happy to oblige with excellent beef cobs. The beer was good too.

I don't know why I haven't reviewed this place sooner, visited a number of times and every time it would receive full stars. Staff are always friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble, the food is to die for and by far my favourite place for a Sunday lunch as everything is fresh and plentiful. The burger nights cater for all appetites and tastes and pizzas are by far the best around with ample toppings to tease your tastebuds, with the added bonus that you can take them away if you wish.

After finding it impossible to book tables for my wife's 40th for 20+ guests at other pubs, my sister suggested the Red Lion in Bomere Heath because she'd heard they'd recently started serving food. I called the pub and spoke to Sparky, explained my requirements and he told me that it would not be a problem, even though they didn't normally do food on a Sunday evening he would for us. He even closed the lounge just for us so that it was only us and the guests in there. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his staff, he allowed me to decorate with balloons, etc, and left me to it. The food we had was delicious, everyone agreed. It's all homemade, and you could tell. I couldn't recommend Sparky and his hospitality any higher. And, there's a lovely beer garden out the back together with ample parking in the adjacent car park. At the moment, they don't do food every day, but we were told to ring if we fancied a meal, and if the party was big enough he'd cook for us, and that if it were only 6-7 , depending on what day it was, he wouldn't mind.

Brilliant public house an lovely home cooked food

First time got my order wrong and brought bits of meal out at a time. Second time my food was taken from my table whilst I was refilling my tea. Poor service poor food would not recommend.
