The best restaurants serving Default food in Ellesmere Urban Shropshire West Midlands

Lovely little pub and kid friendly 😃

We moored in Ellesmere on our narrowboat holiday and went in search of something to eat. Not wanting a full-blown restaurant meal we dicovered the Coco Coffee Bar. We made the right choice. The jacket potatoes are simply gorgeous. With a large enough variety of fillings to suit most tastes. Accompanied by a nice, crisp, fresh salad. As it was a really hot day we all had soft drinks so, unfortunately, can't comment on the coffee. However, the lady owner was really friendly and chatted with us for quite a while, which was lovely. (We were the ones enquiring about the drop peppers). If you are in the area, don't walk past this little gem.

They like the dukebox loud! You do get use to it.

Our third visit in recent weeks. The food, beers, wines and service are excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings.

A shame the staff were rude and dismissive. It's a lovely building in a pretty location. The food is overpriced for what it is. The salmon ciabatta was so dry and bland, I've never seen such a stingy amount of cream cheese in my life. Served with crisps, 1 cherry tomato and wilted rocket. Will not be going back.

We stopped at the boathouse in passing today around 12:30. The staff were incredibly friendly and got us seated as soon as we entered. The restaurant was busy but the staff didn't leave it long before taking our order. We ordered one meal from the light bite menu and one meal from the main menu. The food came out quickly considering how busy it was. The food was absolutely incredible, and the coffee was lovely too. I would highly recommend eating here or just stopping for a coffee. Thank you!

Just spent another long weekend in ellesmere and I had a curry from here friday and sunday nights. The food has been given my highest rating as both nights the food was excellent. The sunday I had chicken tikka Nepal pilau rice it was outstanding and packed with chicken tikka he even gave me extra onion bhajis for free with a peshwari naan. My missus loves the chicken chaat too. Anyway I recommend if you like indian food.

I would rate my Ribeye Steak tonight as one of the best ive ever had. Cooked to perfection and no steak knife needed here ! The most tasty peppercorn sauce. Highly recommend. Beatifully presented and so tasty. Will be back !

Absolutely worse fish and chips I have come across. Stale lukewarm chips and the worse batter on a tiny dry fish. How they stay in business I don’t know as this is appalling . Don’t waste your money

Great food, but the collection can be confusing. Be better if they took a name of gave you an order number rather than asking you what you ordered.

Expensive food, city prices. Owner is rude and slams/tosses food down on the counter. Food tastes okay but not worth the inflated prices. Chippy across the road is much better value for money

We arrived to check in after a long weary drive to find the door locked a local then told me that the landlord is in prison for fraud it would have been polite to inform me of the situation, and not waste my time and effort

I had a very expensive New Year’s Eve Chinese for one. Not impressed and would never order from here again. New wang low heaving with customers and dead here … says a lot

Such a shame as KFC is the better option for a take away but Ellesmere Port is a joke. Orders are never correct, I ordered 3 chicken wings and got 33 (jackpot), but many drive through orders are missing items discovered when you get home. The reason I left this review is because yesterday I got home to find no top bread bun. Whoever made this knew that this was missing, what’s the point of a Zinger Burger when it’s not complete. Absolute joke of a store.
