Only wen in because it was raining thay had no tea and coffee machine but she made me or herself was clean was ok

Our first visit but will definitely not be our last. Fabulous welcome great banter and the most amazing food. We even came home with gifted wine bottles for us to male some flavoured oils. Five stars all round

A warm welcome awaits at the Swan. The lady behind the bar was very helpful.

Friendly pub in the centre of town. Open at lunchtime. Had a very nice pint of Green King Abbot.

No frills, no food pub. What you see is what you get. Reasonable prices too!

Best pub in town and chepest to. And the karaoke on a Saturday night isn't bad either

As a pub should be. No pretensions, just a good old fashioned place for a quiet pint. Landlady and clientele,friendly and very helpful

This is a pub. There is no 'theme', no gastro, no bar menu nonsense (unless dry roasted peanuts, industrial pork scratchings and pickled eggs is your idea of a 3 course meal... Which come to think of it...?). It makes no apologies for being a boozer, and neither does it need to, for a mighty fine ale house it is, serving well kept beer at a decent price and a unique collection of shortbread, colouring pencils, boxes of mixed chocolates and Elvis paraphernalia. (I kid you not, but if you don't believe me you'll have to go check it out for yourself! 😎)

Tetley on draught. What else do you require. Homely pub. Clean. No issues. Good local customers who will engage with visitors. Very nice experience.

Lovely cosy pub, friendly landlord and staff. Went a week before and they remembered us and what we drank. A must visit if in Ellesmere.

Nice comfortable place, friendly staff

Went in on the first day of pub opening in England after covid-19 lockdown July 4th 2020. All the correct measures were in place and it was very sensibly run. The beers were spot on an we had a pleasant afternoon sliding into drunkeness.

Reasonable town centre pub laid out in a traditional manner. Only does one cask ale, Tetley, but that is fine. Good value home made pickled onions can be bought here.

Good place for a drink and family atmosphere

Not much in the way of Ale, only had Tetley's Bitter on draft when we visited but the rest of the beer was kept well, a great place to go if you wanted to get out of the way when the town gets busy. Very friendly staff.
