I would rate my Ribeye Steak tonight as one of the best ive ever had. Cooked to perfection and no steak knife needed here ! The most tasty peppercorn sauce. Highly recommend. Beatifully presented and so tasty. Will be back !

Food was heaped on the plate no finesse whatsoever put me off straight away. It also tasted quite bland. Lovely looking pub but not many eating or drinking!!!

We were a large group and they accommodated us very well. All food came out promptly and the extra veg with the roasts were great. I had pre ordered and I had forgotten to mention that one of the group was gluten free, they quickly went and got them some gluten free gravy and new potatoes. All the staff were friendly and made us feel at home.

We went for Sunday lunch, very quiet pud with only a handful of other diners. We were 2 children & 3 adults. Drinks order taken, no problems - drinks arrived and were sloshed over the table, apology was made but no napkins were given to us to mop up - luckily we had baby wipes in our bag. 3 adults chose to have “large roast” £5 supplement Must say food was all a bit bland and chicken was on the bone! Gravy was pretty tasteless. Children’s portions were half size and half price which was something. Very hot plates given straight to the young (4&18m)children. Ate food. Went to pay, staff member was over heard telling other diners/customers we had left without paying - whilst we were stood at the bar waiting to pay, at which point I did say we were here waiting to pay, the lady did apologise for accusing us of leaving with no payment. Such a shame because we are local to the pub and thought we would go and support local. Serving staff were polite. Overall not the greatest meal and we won’t be returning.

Lovely Sunday roast just what we needed after a day in the garden. Choice of beef or Turkey or both perfect Yorkshire puds and lashings of gravy served separately so you could have as much it as little as you liked with a good selection of veggies buttered cabbage carrot & swede and cheesy leeks plus of course roast and mashed potatoes Traditional puds apple crumble sticky toffee syrup sponge and peanut and chocolate cheesecake we ordered different puds so we could try them all and everyone was delicious Will definitely be going back Nice little village pub with traditional food served well Great friendly service from all bar and waiting staff

Booked at the last minute on a rainy, sunday afternoon. Booking was accepted & prompt e-mail sent to confirm. Very quiet atmosphere as we were the only diners in the place. Ordered Prawn Cocktail starter, Roast Pork, Roast Lamb & Choc/Orange Cheesecake. A couple of minor tweaks to service & portion sizes are needed. Ordered diet coke & given a pint without asking for preference. No butter with starter, Pork dinner was much larger than the Lamb. Homemade dessert was delicious. Will we return - yes but perhaps when the full menu comes on board.

Myself and children visited recently for the first time. The staff were friendly and the food very good value for money. I had the adult's breakfast and they had children's size. Very good food and very reasonably priced. My only very slight grumble was some of the tables are too close together. We will definitely be back. Thank you x

I usually love a trip to Costa. Today, I was disappointed. There wasn't much choice left by 11.45am. My favourite bacon roll was sold out. I had a bean and cheese toastie, but it had no cheese. It was very bland and unenjoyable. I wish I'd gone elsewhere.

Ordered cottage pie and potato was cold and not browned off like cottage pie should be and not very warm also presentation was not very good my meal was ok chips good but did not like the real cheese on the burger.Beer was fine bit disapointing based on the reviews for your pub that’s why we chose it but had to retreat to a chippy.
