Harvester Beaten Track in Shropshire

Booked table for 6 for a birthday dinner. Our server was called Miles and he did an amazing job. We really felt looked after especially as we had someone with a nut allergy. This was dealt with efficiently and without undue fuss. Miles gave him a personalised menu on a tablet which took out all the guesswork. All staff were brilliant. Food was excellent, decent portions with lots of options, and reasonably priced. We've eaten here many times over the years and the service is always good but Miles and the team excelled themselves this evening. 10/10.

I came to Harvester for very first time with my friend her daughter's and my 10 months old son. Lady showed us a table but stool was broken on side and doors where open to back, it was quite cold there. We asked can we have a table at front where is warmer. Ladies answer was NO even there where plenty free tables. So we choose the broken stool table as it was out of way for the door. Food was lovely but got cold quickly because where we where sat, my son was cold so had to keep him dressed warm and a waiter who served us was brilliant. But overall all experience was very unwelcomed. I would advise reconsider to have customer service skill training to most members of staff including bar staff. As I didn't like keys chucked on me for baby changing toilets. Definitely won't be coming back again.

Good harvester- a bit of a slow service for a lunch in midweek but the waitress was very nice and friendly

Lovely place. Friendly staff. Quick to seat and order. The food was great but served on a really small plate!!!

We both enjoyed our meals. It was great to be able to choose exactly what we wanted from the salad bar. Made to feel welcome with our dog.

We had a group booking for 20 people. The manager Glen, went above and beyond. Glen and a young lady, (didn't get her name) really looked after us. We had the buffet menu.

The food was mouthwatering the staff were excellent ,especially Miles he was cheerful and helpful.I will definitely pop up again for another meal.I highly recommend.

A great pub, with super accessibility. Staff very welcoming, Huge car park with disabled bays. Good clean facilities. Pub is very accessible for wheelchairs and prams. Plenty of space.

Beautiful food me and my husband had the ultimate mix grill and son had southern burger the food was spot on (head chef Josh thank-you perfectly cooked steak) A big thanks to Revis our server great service and lovely manners check in and recommend a lovely Rose. Will definitely return 🩷

We have been here many times before and previously had good experiences. Tonight was a different matter though. My daughter is a strict vegetarian. Dhe ordered a vegetarian burger and I ordered a beef burger. When they arrived the server indicated which was the veggie one, and we indicated that it was my daughter's. I was given the other one. Unfortunately he had them the wrong way around and my daughter was given the meat burger. Luckily I noticed before she ate any- but she was quite distressed (she has ASD); and did not enjoy the rest of the meal even though we swapped meals. (I had eaten most of the chips and had cut into the burger,so when we swapped it was not ideal and my chips had been on the plate with the burger so she would t touch them. We told the server when he asked if everything was ok..he laughed. That's pretty poor! My beef burger was so dry and tough that I struggled to cut it. I eventually took it off the bun and just ate the bread. My daughter was so upset she barely touched hers. It was supposed to be a treat, we don't often eat out and I'm so disappointed. The me has changed and there are fewer veggie options, and the quality of the cooked food was really bad. The salad bar was ok. When paying we were asked if e erything was ok. I said not really and reiterated the issues (it was the same guy we had previously told), he just said "oh", no apology offered. I don't think they could care less!

Wife ordered fish and chips. Came out with dark cooking oil all over the plate. Sent back and got the same meal back with the oil wiped off.

A huge thank you to Miles, we popped in earlier this evening. Miles introduced himself, food knowledge extremely good, customer care 1st class, a very enjoyable experience. Happy to recommend to others.

My visit was nothing short from amazing the atmosphere, attention and attitude from these lovely people who work here and give it their all just makes it even more pleasant to come here time and time again!

The new food menu was lovely and so fresh, their new halloumi tacos were amazing. I will get 3 instead of 2 next time, and their battered halloumi is just as delicious as ever. The Kitchen Manager Josh was the one who cooked our food and we thank him loads.

What a great team. Revis our server (very pleasant young man) Josh brilliant chef, the food was cooked to perfection and let’s not forget Myles the manager for his knowledge. Our experience was unexpected, we eat out most nights and our experience with most restaurants has been poor service and mediocre food. Totally surprised by such fantastic service and food. Had a really lovely lunch with partner and 3 kids two of them in high chairs, nothing was too much trouble great menu choice and brilliant service from Rhi, definitely be back soon.

We needed somewhere to eat but when we got here just after 8 pm it felt like they were already thinking about closing for the evening so had to wait before they cleared and cleaned a table. Food was what you would expect at a Harvester and the free salad bar was good. My vegetarian pie had been in the oven too long and the pastry was rock hard but my wife's food was good. Drinks were very good value

5 stars is all I have to say, the staff that served me where polite and kind to me even though they didn't have to. The food was 10/10, would recomend the dirty burger and chips because it's a very good sized meal that gets your money's worth. And the Salad bar is a really good starter as there are quite a lot of options like cucumber and bacon bits and more. I love this place and I'm definitely returning here again.

This was the second time been here 1st time was a realy bad experience but was asked to come back so we did and what can I say The transformation off everything was a 100% the food was 100% better and the service the same i hope thay keep this standers up as I would very much recommended this for a night out to eat and yes I will be going back Thank you all at the harvester keep up the standers

I came in for a meal with my mum and can say that I walked out with a smiles on my face. The chefs Josh and jules cooked our meals and can say that it was amazing. I then had a dessert which was the lemon blizzard made by ollie and it was lovely.

Great quick lunch with the wife! Service was quick and friendly and food was so tasty! New menu choices are absolutely worth trying out too!

We visited with our son on the evening of 26th September. Food was really tasty, arrived quickly and was well presented. Great service from Katie; thank you.

The younger staff weren’t very welcoming and made us feel quite awkward and unwelcome, I assume it was a manager or supervisor who came to us at the end and she was lovely, the food was just something you could make at home and the salad bar was mostly dry, there was a person running around touching all the crutons and laughing and the drinks were flat I hate to complain but I wish I went somewhere else for my 21st birthday meal The sweet potato fries were perfect though.

Food was ok and service was alright. Very quiet for a Sunday though.

Lovely food and crisp fresh salad. Our waiter was clearly having a bad day though - very little interaction with us and we did rather feel like an inconvenience being there. Later on, with 3 people still eating, another server came and asked for 'the long plates', causing the others in our party to be obliged to hand up their plates in front of the others that were still eating. Food from one plate dropped into another plate that was still being eaten. I'm not sure what the hurry to collect plates was. Perhaps they only have a few long plates in the restaurant and need them for other guests?

Well designed facility with healthy food and good parking, we were served by Ebony who was very pleasant, the price was good too.

Very quiet on a Tuesday afternoon when we went. The food was good and the staff helpful and friendly. The facilities were easily accessible and very clean. Plenty of parking and easy access.

The food is regular, made in a factory (sous vide) fare. Nothing fancy but then, it doesn't claim to be. The ales are overpriced. Don't eat there if you don't like the smell of burnt meat. The odour is constant and pervasive.

Had a lovely meal, salad bar was nice and fresh. Always greeted by Miles and had a pleasant experience.

It's an okay place to go but lunchtime needs a light bite menu.....nothing to choose from except larger dishes .

We had booked and were seated very quickly by a hostess. It was relatively quiet (no disco sound track), tables were quite well spaced. Bench seating was a little awkward (compared to chairs). Excellent range of meals available, albeit with a limited Vegetarian/Vegan range. The Salad cart was almost as good as I remember it (fewer choices, eg no onions) but still excellent as a starter or side dish with the main. A server came quickly and took our order. I ordered the Ultimate Mixed Grill and it was splendid, lots of meat which was all very-well cooked. I didn't get the half chicken I was expecting, but I didn't complain as it would have come home in a doggy bag, anyway. I had the "infinite" post-mix Tango Orange, which was almost as good as the real thing (from a can). My Wife had Scampi, and was surprised by how much she got; my daughter had the vegetarian pasta shells with cheese and tomato, which she declared was a proper meal (not microwaved frozen convenience food as in some restaurants). Good range of desserts, my Wife really enjoyed her Lemon Blizzard but I was too full. Brilliant visit! What could they improve? A few more choices on the salad cart and for Vegetarians and Vegans, please.

The Kitchen Manager Josh as I was told, cooked my food as it was an allergy and he smashed it, my waitress Hollie was very nice and attentive to us as we were an allergy table, will be going back

Miles is a credit to the restaurant. He is very professional, friendly and efficient too. He handled our complicated order very smoothly and patiently. Food is average. Especially fries - they were actually very poor. Burgers, Ribs, Pasta were all OK. Desserts were very good.

My food was the definition of perfection thanks to the kitchen manager, and general manager who i got told were Josh and Hollie, will be going back again soon!

I love my food and the feelings the place gives you! I found out there are 3 Josh’s that work there and all of them I got told were working today, and I want to thank them on my visit, it was great! Katie and Hollie were amazing as well, very fast service!

One of the worst harvesters I've been too. Told restaurant was fully booked and had to sit in bar. It was 1645 and at least 10 tables free in restaurant. Salad bar was nearly empty. Asked for refill. Told not yet. Atmosphere was soul destroying. All staff looked liked they didn't want to be there. *No one else came in after us. We were there for an hour. So tables could have been given to us.

Quite expensive, over £4 for a tango is utterly ridiculous! And over £3 for a diet pepsi! Not sure if they included a free refill but we didn't even see the refill station until we were leaving. Would have been nice to have been told it existed! Also we were charged for the kids desserts which should have been included in the kids meal. Didn't realise until we got home so too late to get a refund. Really unhappy. Food was good but due to the expense we won't be going back.

The food is absolutely gorgeous every time, best chicken burger I've had anywhere. Service is really good as well, Miles was super friendly and helpful in answering questions.

While visiting Shrewsbury we stopped at the Beaten Track Harvester for dinner. The service was excellent and the food was hot and tasty. We were there for a couple of hours ( 6 adults and 2 children ) and really enjoyed it. Thank you Miles, Elliot and the rest of the team, we will definitely be back next time we are visiting the area.

Come to Harvester on a Tuesday morning and Aggie always friendly and amazing.

I come here every Tuesday the lady Aggie who serves the coffee so helpful always has a smile on her face. Very clean in the restaurant.

Very good for pub chain restaurant. The food ordered was reasonably quick to arrive and was very nice. Free help yourself salad bar with good variety.Very extensive menus so something for everyone. Staff helpful but we found lighting a bit dull for 5pm. Toilets clean. Close car parking

BEWARE the kids eat for £1 is only valid if you order off the regular adult menu and not the lunch set menu. Even after asking how the kids eat for £1 works, the server DID NOT tell us it can’t be used when we proceeded to order from the lunch set menu. Food was very poor for the price we had to pay, staff looking unkempt and the place was dirty. Shall not be visiting again. *Please ensure all staff are trained to answer questions when asked about the kids eat for £1 deal, instead of then when the bill comes just saying “the customer should read the terms and conditions!” These terms and conditions are NOT on the children’s menu or anywhere to be seen in the Resturant just on the app which you have to search for, which are easily overlooked especially when you have 2 hungry children wanting your attention and their food!

Pathetic, rude,ignorant and lazy. We stood at the designated area waiting to be seated for 10 minutes and got ignored. My wife went to the bar and asked if they were still serving food. The member of staff said yes, but we're fully booked.we counted 15 empty tables. It was 5 past 8 in the evening so it's not like they were expecting a mass gathering for food.

Brilliant service, Great Food Quality and Salad Bar was spot on. Stayed for a game of pool with my son as well and bar service was friendly and warm. Keep it up guys.

The food was fantastic. We had an ultimate combo and a mixed grill! All meat cooked beautifully and such great portions! The service to go along with it was friendly and welcoming… efficient but not rushed! Ruby was fantastic and so helpful throughout our visit! We will be back again soon!

Moved from the table we were comfortable at because it was around 10ft from where they said we could sit to be served. Put in a booth which was tight, claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Found that to give myself enough room to eat without an elbow in my face, that I had to sit with my bottom hanging over the edge of the seat. During my meal I had to get up 10 times as the other 2 guests in our party on my side of the bench wanted to get out. Salad bar was stripped bare and had clearly not been checked in quite sometime. We had to ask if they had anymore, which took time to fill. How many times had they walked past the salad bar, ignored it and done nothing. I ask, would anything have been done if we had not asked them? Probably not. Hospitality is customer facing, and requires a certain attitude. Saying the words is one thing, saying them like you mean it or at least care is another. Plus smiling would be a good place to start. I had a double burger and chips, which was nice enough, but left feeling hungry still. My conclusion is that if your a hobbit or around 5ft tall then this is a place for you. But if your over 6ft the seating arrangements are small and cramped, and the portion sizes more suited to the children's menu. I've been here twice now and my experience is 'day and night'. The first time was great, hense my return, but the second will be my last.

The prices are affordable and l love the free unlimited salad. Friendly's staff.

Waiter miles was lovely and food was lovely

Food was good however... Quite disappointed in the service here. Didn't see a single smile from any staff. They weren't observant. We didn't get a check back. They didn't see empty glass on table and offer any other drinks, just walked past a number of times. I wouldn't say this was a busy night as the staff on the bar were mainly stood around looking very bored with nothing to do.

Food was great.. customer service needs some brushing up.

Bit more expensive than other restaurants I've been too but overall nice meal, service was good and plenty of parking
