We came with our 2 Children to meet Santa! We had a lovely breakfast, the kids enjoyed seeing Santa in his Grotto and they got a little Christmas Pack to take away.

Services and food was just ok. Nothing special for the price

We like our local Harvester, so we chose this one when staying near Shrewsbury. Sadly, the service was not good, and we waited a long time, over 30 minutes, for our meal with no approach from our server to explain why. In the end, a manager told us our meals had been missed by the kitchen. When they did arrive i would describe them as average at best, probably because they were rushed out in the end. All we were offered as an apology was a free ice cream, which I could not have as I am diabetic. Luckily, we will never have to use this restaurant again.

Good portion! Nicely cooked steak, medium-rare was more on the rare side. Other meats were slightly over cooked(not black, just tough). Chips were enjoyable. Egg done nicely sunny side up.

We were stopping at a nearby hotel and looking for somewhere to have dinner. We took a punt with Harvester Beaten Track and were not disappointed. Miles and Hannah were very attentive, quickly supplying us with drinks and a bowl for the salad bar. They swiftly returned to take our order and our food was with us in good time. We very much enjoyed our meal which was hot and delicious 😋 Thanks for the lovely meal guys 🌟

Recently visited The Beaten Track, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The salad bar was fresh and well-stocked, which was a great bonus. I particularly loved their grilled chicken, but honestly, everything we tried was spot on. Overall, an excellent dining experience! I’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and great service!

I ordered the Wing and Wave. The service was extremely slow; we waited at least 40 minutes before being served. When the steak arrived, I found it so tough that I couldn't even cut into it. The waitress noticed and offered to get a new one cooked, saying, "I can see you can't cut into it, so I'll order another for you." After waiting an additional 22 minutes, my companions had finished their meals, so I asked for an update. I was told my steak was just being finished, and I ended up having to take it home in a to-go bag. They didn't offer any discount on the meal or accept the 25% voucher we had. I am disappointed and will not be returning, as this is the second time we've had issues here in four visits. A 50/50 chance of getting an edible meal is not acceptable!! Now waiting for the satndard Harvester reply, 'i'll pass the message on to the team!' translating to, we have your money, so we really don't care, however, we will pretend we do.....

Another good meal from this Restaurant delivered on time, well presented and still hot. This meal was excellent and a new meal for the future.

Brilliant!! Went for a family meal, for my daughter's 21st, Service was second to none, they couldn't do enough. Food was lovely, everything came out at the same time, piping hot too. Friendly staff, brilliant service. Thanks for making it a great night.

Salad bar very poor. Most things run out. Lettuce wilted and browning, very off-putting start. Main meals much better, but value for money only as had a voucher... staff friendly and helpful

We had seen that Harvester was doing an offer of 50% off mains this week, so thought we'd give it a try for lunch ....... BIG MISTAKE! Firstly the "unlimited salad buffet" had very little left and what was there seemed to have been left out all day (or had been left over from yesterday) even the bread rolls were hard ! My partner ordered the half roast chicken which was overcooked (dry), and her chips were cold but she made the most of it. I had the ultimate mixed grill, oh dear ! Even with a sharp steak knife, I couldn't cut the steak, the gammon was also way overcooked as was the portion of chicken even the eggs were like rubber and the mushroom shrivelled ! And again the chips were cold, originally after attempting to cut the steak I had called a waitress who asked me to remove the steak onto a side plate which she took back offering to bring a fresh one out, but then after attempting the rest of the meal I told the waitress not to bother bringing the replacement steak out, the only edible items were the black pudding and one of the sausages! to be fair the manager came and apologised, agreed that it wasn't good and took my meal off the bill, Very disappointing experience

We were looking for a new place to eat, and came across Harvester. The menu has lots of options and we had no issues with the food we chose to eat. Miles and the team were friendly and helpful; we will definitely come back again. 100% recommend!

Food was excellent. Try the rainbow burger. Staff were Elliot and Miles. Both were attentative but not overbearing. They went the extra mile for us, looking into a bit of an obscure food allergy. Would give service a 6 if we could.

Miles took such good care of our table, he truly is a scholar and a gentleman. Great food and even better service, we shall definitely be returning.

Dreadful meal. Waited for an hour and when received our rack of beef was burnt and cold. Our grandsons ribs were burnt. After some protests they reduced our bill. During the conversation with their manager he never took his eyes of his pad once and did not offer any apology except to argue that it "takes time to get it up to heat", something which I could not fathom and which if anything was slightly ironic bearing in mind the state of our meal.

Unsure why we do it to ourselves. Give it the benefit of the doubt after a long period of not going and every time we do we regret it. I cannot fault the service but the food on the other hand is terrible. Really let’s the place down. When spending £70 for a meal for 2 adults and 1 child (that’s with no desserts) you would expect a nice meal, it’s sadly everything but that. Will not be visiting again, hopefully learn our lesson now, we’ve been three times and it isn’t very nice.

Bit fed up because very skint after Christmas .Saw the 50% off mains offer so came for a meal with my Son and partner to treat them after a bad couple of weeks .Was asked at beginning if I had the code for 50% off I said yes and got my phone out but he said he would scan it after the meal . Anyway we had to wait about 90 minutes and by the time we finished and we paid I was not reminded of the voucher and because we waited so long we had forgot ..I couldnt see bill and told them this (No glasees) got home and £ 80 pound bill bank notification. I know I should of remembered but they knew I had this 50% off and chose not to remind me . Next time I will pay upfront and get the code scanned because I think they do it last because they know some folk will forget especially after a couple drinks . I'm poor and this was a rare treat and now I just feel depressed . Also the rib eye was all fat and my meal was missing cornbread plus Harvester famous for its Rotisserie Chicken had none .

I feel Absolutely disgusted and let down with our Christmas dinner. It came cold. You couldn't even cut the veg, it wasn't cooked. It was Really hard. There was no gravy so we had to ask for more. We paid £65 per head and the portion was really small. To be honest I wouldn't even feed it my dog. This ruined my day. I've always done dinner with my family so decided to do something different this year. Wish I hadn't now 😕

We couldn’t get in anywhere in Shrewsbury town due to Christmas Eve Wasn’t disappointed excellent attentive service Food is hot and well presented , and your salads bar is a must My dad had the gammon and said it was the best he had ever had , I had tempura prawns they were delicious and other other person in our party requested chicken baked potatoes and onion rings she loved it though the chicken was a little dry Miles and his team do an excellent job Highly recommended will be back in the new year Happy Christmas to you all 🎄🎄

All breakfast items were luke warm to cold. It took approximately 50 minutes from ordering to receiving. Simply not good enough. One person had to wait even longer therefore eating his whilst most of the others had nearly finished. These were all standard breakfast meals. It should not have taken as long as it did for a simple 7 persons order. Portions on each plate were inconsistent. One person had a very small amount of scrambled egg whilst the other had double the portion of the other. Sausages overdone and lukewarm warm. Beans overdone and cold Mushroom was sloppy and small and luke warm at best. Filtered coffee practically cold. Bacon very thin and cool. Poached eggs were only just acceptable. Very unimpressed. Waiter/waitress service was inconsistent and sloppy. They’d also forgotten part of the order and had to ask us again what it was they had missed. Worst experience to date at a Harvester. Extremely disappointed. The main restaurant was not busy at the time of our arrival and neither was it when we eventually left. I don’t often write reviews and if I do they are always positive. On this occasion it has genuinely has been a poor experience.

Big thank you to Aggie and Santa for making breakfast so special! Amazing amount of photos and lots of time with Santa! My little one loved it 🩷 merry Christmas all! Also the pancakes were the best I’ve had out in a long time, fresh and warm with tonnes of bacon, amazing value for money

We went for breakfast with Santa. Staff were lovely. Aggie was brilliant. The kids loved her. Santa was really friendly and they loved waking a sleeping Santa. This is our second year returning for Santa breakfast.

Came in for a quiet lunch with my family and I'm so happy I did. Absolutely fantastic, all the food was great, especially the ribeye steak, cooked to perfection. Great selection of drinks and friendly staff that catered to our every need. Will definitely be returning soon, keep up the amazing work

Had a great birthday meal served by Miles.Very professional and friendly.

Our table had no visible number or qr so I couldn't order in the app which would've been easier because I needed to order my toddler a meal ASAP. When I asked staff for help or to come and take our order, they suggested that I should have known the table number and talked down to me. The starters were OK but our cutlery didn't come until too late so we didn't really have time to enjoy the salad bar before they came. We then waited about 40mins after the starters were over for our mains to come. They had clearly been sat for a while as parts of them had been microwaved, batter had gone soggy on the fish while the meat was piping hot. Chips had gone cold and gravy had a thick skin formed.

When I arrived I was told there were no steaks available which was disappointing so I decided on the Haddock and chips and when my meal arrived the fish was a very small piece and undercooked so the batter wasn't crispy. The chips turned out to be 'fast food fries' instead of real chips, so overall I didn't enjoy the experience as I felt I had over payed for my meal

Came in with some other people to a booking that had been booked months in advance. I felt they were unprepared for us, after the first course, they added more cutlery, but was just left on the table for us to hand out. It seemed like we were overstayed past closing, but we had turned up early and the food didn't start to be served for around hour & half after we arrived.

I always approach this place with a degree of trepidation as we usually have a mediocre experience at best. However, as the kids love the deserts and it was their birthday treat, off we went ... In fairness it's probably about 12 months since we last visited and everything was so much better than usual. Miles served us and was polite, helpful and efficient. There were no missing menu items. The salad bar was well stocked. The food arrived promptly and was as good as the likes of TGIs and the desserts were still the best! In fairness, this visit was really very good and absolutely worthy of my 5 stars.

Update: Not sure why the odd reply about the customer. I wasn’t complaining about them. I was complaining about your staff and awful service. The customer was fine. I notice you’re refusing to comment on the service. Where to start! Went there at lunch time, took 10 minutes before someone even came to seat us by the sign that says “please wait to be seated”. I was then put near someone shouting (not their fault, possibly neurodivergent) of which I am too and so is my friend, but we struggle with noise so had to move. Absolutely nothing against the person shouting but we were made to feel awful about it. I picked Harvester because I was told it was quiet. Again, nothing against the guy shouting but we had to move due to sensitivity to noise ourselves. My friend did take a while to order so the waitress got snappy and blunt with us. We ordered starters which came out hot, the garlic bread was really odd and didn’t taste like garlic. As we were eating our starters, the waitress comes up and asks if we want our mains, I didn’t but my friend said yes. Literally 2 seconds later, out they come and clearly had been sat under the hot lights for a while. Why make them early? Clearly to annoy us or get us to leave. Also, I asked for no pineapple but got it anyway. Also, I thought they had to ask if we had any allergies? When I went to pay, it was ridiculously over priced for what we received. The app doesn’t have half the items on either. Really disappointed. The attitude of the staff was awful and we were made to feel awful for moving tables. Won’t be coming back again.

The manager was our server tonight , he explained they were short of staff , but that didn’t effect the service or the quality of food , we didn’t wait too long for our food to arrive , it was pipping hot and lovely and fresh. We would recommend coming here to any one , will definitely be making a return visit .

New Review; Had a lovely ‘Festive Menu’ meal today at The Harverster. It’s a varied menu catering for carnivores and veggies alike and great value (£19 for two course, £22 for three) along with the included salad bar. If that doesn’t take your fancy, the normal menu is available. Nice to see the company running in the ‘Social Bite’ programme again where you can buy a Xmas meal for the homeless. Great idea. Served by the friendly and engaging Miles.

Had the Christmas menu, food really nice, added bowl of salad is great, haven't been in a Harvester for yrs but would definitely go again- service a little slow as VERY busy but efficient and done with a smile from Miles.

My food was the definition of perfection thanks to the kitchen manager, and general manager who i got told were Josh and Hollie, will be going back again soon!!!!

Had a really enjoyable evening here, we helped ourselves to the salad bar which had lots to choose from and was fresh and tasty. Our mains were cooked perfectly and we felt great value for money with the amount on the plates. Our servers Ebony, Katie and Rhi were all very friendly and looked after us brilliantly. Booked table for 6 for a birthday dinner. Our server was called Miles and he did an amazing job. We really felt looked after especially as we had someone with a nut allergy. This was dealt with efficiently and without undue fuss. Miles gave him a personalised menu on a tablet which took out all the guesswork. All staff were brilliant. Food was excellent, decent portions with lots of options, and reasonably priced. We've eaten here many times over the years and the service is always good but Miles and the team excelled themselves this evening. 10/10.

I came to Harvester for very first time with my friend her daughter's and my 10 months old son. Lady showed us a table but stool was broken on side and doors where open to back, it was quite cold there. We asked can we have a table at front where is warmer. Ladies answer was NO even there where plenty free tables. So we choose the broken stool table as it was out of way for the door. Food was lovely but got cold quickly because where we where sat, my son was cold so had to keep him dressed warm and a waiter who served us was brilliant. But overall all experience was very unwelcomed. I would advise reconsider to have customer service skill training to most members of staff including bar staff. As I didn't like keys chucked on me for baby changing toilets. Definitely won't be coming back again.

Hips were cold had to reheat them. Burger was tough and over cooked and the salad was 3/4’s beetroot which wasn’t nice

We had a group booking for 20 people. The manager Glen, went above and beyond. Glen and a young lady, (didn't get her name) really looked after us. We had the buffet menu.
