The best restaurants serving Default food in Battlefield Shropshire West Midlands

Called in on Friday on my way home from work ordered a mixed kebab and southern fried chicken. My kebab was lovely piping hot and very tasty. The wife had the chicken and said it was lovely. Will definitely call again. Many thanks

Visited several times now. Can't find any fault with it

We have a lovely lunch at The Red Lion in Shrewsbury. Delicious food and good service. Staff always smiles. The fish and chips and lasagne are delicious. We were spent a happy gathering there.

Decent pool table and darts board, nice drinks not that expensive and always a nice relaxed atmosphere in my experience.

I Very enjoyed my visit here, everyone was so friendly, enjoyed my food definitely will be re visiting in the future……..

So quiet, plenty of empty seating to chose from. Almost personal service from the attentive staff. N.B. might not be like this when the coffee machine is working again!

First visit. The store was very unorganised, seemed to be stuff everywhere.

Very disappointed footlong rotisserie chicken very little chicken, hardly any lettuce and only 4 slices of tomato instead of 6. Subs were messy so nearly all salad was in the wrapping and waffle fries were stone cold. This is not the first bad order and won’t be ordering again

Went for a nice walk around Battlefield site, decided to try out a local eatery. We saw the signs for Sparrows which had a farm shop adjacent, which looked good also. Asked for a table for 2 and were taken to one.......Thats where it ended. My wife and i sat there then for around 20 minutes. Despite the staff passing us on several occasions. Not one stopped to take our order. NO ! there were no signs indicating one had to order from the counter. As we could see they were taking orders from tables. After 20 minutes plus, we both put out coats back on and walked out. They never even noticed we were leaving.........So i cannot comment on the food.....Just the lack of service. We won't be going again.......We did however locate one less than a mile away over the roundabout, called.... HALL'S. Which was highly recommended.

Disgusting don't go hers unless you want a tray of oil with your food Kids meal had a pool of oil in bottom and everything was oily (dirty oil) Never ordering again vile place

We headed to Dee Dee's firstly because it is situated within The Range store, where we happened to be browsing, and secondly, because it advertised that it was serving Costa Coffee. We were killing time, waiting for a relative to undergo a hospital appointment, but we waited a LONG time to be served. I actually began to time it on my watch, silly I know, but I was beginning to think that we would have to ditch our idea of a coffee and head back to the hospital. In the end, we waited a little over 18 minutes to be served. Yes, the coffee was Costa, but not served Barista style, more of the kind of machine one finds in a buffet breakfast at a hotel, select your drink, press the appropriate button and the machine dispenses the drink. The staff seemed to be rushed off their feet, with one young lady taking orders and delivering coffees and another, older and more experienced lady putting together the food orders. One felt for them, as they were clearly understaffed and rushed off their feet. Yet, being British, we all stood there and queued! Costa coffee is okay, not nearly as special as it would like to think, but we got what we paid for. The seating area was nicely laid out, sufficient space between tables, but it was all rather canteen, rather than a coffee / cafe /bistro experience. The management should really look at their staffing levels and help out the current members, who are doing their best.

When we visited we found it to have poor customer service. I have emailed them regarding my complaint and they have not even acknowledged it.

Party of 4, booked for a carvery before going to the theatre. We were shown to our table immediately upon entering with no waiting. We were served quickly at the Bar and waited only a few minutes before the vegetarian option was ready. The food was lovely and the staff were all very pleasant. I would definitely come here again, next time I am in Shrewsbury.

Handy to have this Tesco Extra open on a bank holiday Monday! We managed to pick up everything we needed for an impromptu barbecue in the garden. It’s a well-stocked store with a good variety of food and drink, including fresh produce, vegetables, salads, tinned goods, milk, butter, and all the essentials. A reliable place for both everyday shopping and last-minute plans.
