Coffee Shop at The Range in Shropshire

We headed to Dee Dee's firstly because it is situated within The Range store, where we happened to be browsing, and secondly, because it advertised that it was serving Costa Coffee. We were killing time, waiting for a relative to undergo a hospital appointment, but we waited a LONG time to be served. I actually began to time it on my watch, silly I know, but I was beginning to think that we would have to ditch our idea of a coffee and head back to the hospital. In the end, we waited a little over 18 minutes to be served. Yes, the coffee was Costa, but not served Barista style, more of the kind of machine one finds in a buffet breakfast at a hotel, select your drink, press the appropriate button and the machine dispenses the drink. The staff seemed to be rushed off their feet, with one young lady taking orders and delivering coffees and another, older and more experienced lady putting together the food orders. One felt for them, as they were clearly understaffed and rushed off their feet. Yet, being British, we all stood there and queued! Costa coffee is okay, not nearly as special as it would like to think, but we got what we paid for. The seating area was nicely laid out, sufficient space between tables, but it was all rather canteen, rather than a coffee / cafe /bistro experience. The management should really look at their staffing levels and help out the current members, who are doing their best.

Spent £20 on a light lunch for family and the food was not worth half that - do not risk the fish finger bloomer, the over cooked/reheated fish finger barely covered the bread, which was not improved by the browning lettuce stalk - certainly won’t be returning

OK for a quick coffee,when you need one, the also so have cakes if required. Just popped in after long shopping trip

visited monday 17/06/19 one assistant working very hard doing everything ,i realy do not know how she kept her cool with other assistant chatting with friends . Coffee hot good toast now to find a clean knife i handled about 10 filthy knives in the end used a spoon to spread butter . you may ask why i did not ask for a clean one i could not put the one assistant any more to do . To miss chatterbox less chatting check cutlery and do some work .

We have lunch here regularly when my wife shops at The Range. Always a good selection of sandwiches etc and straightforward service Can’t fault

I really like the coffee shop in the Range at Shrewsbury. It’s exceptionally friendly, the staff are brilliant and the coffee is really good. Additionally, I just love the flapjacks, which are handmade. Well done and keep it up please.

This is a nice place for a coffee and a cake or a quick lunch if you are shopping in the Harlescott area. It is well staffed and the service is quite quick. The coffee is good and there is a good range of food available. Well worth a visit.

We often call in here when in the Harlescott area, shopping. There is lots of seating and quick service. The coffee is always nice and there are plenty of sandwich and other snack choices, including some nice cakes. My only reservation is that I have seen staff putting salad on the plates just using their hands, which doesn't seem terribly hygienic.

Have called here for coffee and a sandwich numerous times and been happy with food and service. However they have revamped their offering and replaced prepackaged sandwiches with a great selection of fresh flatbreads, baggettes, pizzas and jacket potatoes. The staff are very friendly and attentive and seating comfortable. Excellent little cafe for a snack and coffee.

We have been here many times and since the "re-fit" it is now a clean and good place to go for a snack and coffee, I always look to see how clean the table & Floor are, and they are good here, the food is good.

We called for a coffee but ended having a cheese toasty and very tasty it was indeed , also lovely and clean

Comfortable coffee shop in store. Usual sandwiches and hot snacks with extensive drink menu. Service very good. Great place to chill with a coffee while partner shops!!

staff were very helpful and polite. coffee is quite nice and food looks ok although i have only had t.cake or scone when visiting. i think this is nice to go to if you are in the range and want something to tide you over.

Just the job for a quick snack when you are in the area. Nice selection of cakes and sandwiches although the hot food selection is limited. But hey it's good and fairly priced in a comfortable area of the store.

Lovely lady who works at the weekend- always welcoming and makes lovely coffee. Huge slices of cake for those who want it!!!!

Nice coffee shop, open and spacious. We only had a coffee and a muffin but they were very good. This Range is quite big compared to others I have been to so a quick break halfway round was ideal. The Xmas section was being prepared ( it looked good) and the furniture section was very good.

I visit the Range coffee shop when I take my car in for service and have to wait. It's friendly staff always give a warm welcome and the food on offer is always well presented and fresh. Good coffee, good cakes, good service.

Food was okay, drinks were okay, staff are okay. Overall its an average experience for an average place
