The best restaurants serving Default food in Town Newcastle-under-Lyme West Midlands

Very accommodating to my picky self 🤣 thanks Jack you're a star!!!

Our first visit to the Ostler restaurant after recommendations from friends and what a lovely surprise it was. We couldn’t fault a single thing, from the friendly greeting at reception, being escorted to our table and the service from there on in was impeccable. The menu was varied and both our starters and main meals were cooked to perfection. It was the best crispy pork that I’ve ever eaten and as it’s a favourite of mine I’ve had quite a few. It’s a ‘traditional’ hotel restaurant but the menu has something for everyone and I’d happily recommend it to anyone. Looking forward to sampling the Christmas menu soon.

So delicious! Went in for brunch/late breakfast, we had double bacon,sausage&egg oatcakes. Cooked perfectly! My only downpoint is the seating area could of done with a mop of the floor. Returning very soon! A bonus point for the free chocolate pikelets!x

Delicious food, great service, and atmosphere was relaxing, the staff were incredibly nice and converse, overall 10/10

First for me,loved the extensive menu, proper Chinese food, so yes for my first visit very impressed.Will definitely be back

Great customer service and lovely food. When we arrived the place was empty apart from 2 children sat at tables playing games on the iPads/tablets. Although they were polite, the noise from the games was annoying at times. Food was amazing, the only problem was the samosas came out cold, which considering they were on the starter platter which everything else was hot, was a bit weird. We raised this and the young girl said she would let the kitchen know. Service was great, everyone was serving with a smile.

Called here this morning (29 April 2019) looks to have closed down, no furniture but no note on the door ? If it has what a shame it was an excellent venue.

Very good and fresh food. I had soup of the day and pie of the day and they were very tasty. But the service was just outstanding! Extremely friendly staff.

Great friendly pub with good cosy atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is o erall very yood though prices like most places have increased. Paid £19 for a mixed grill which was basically a cooked breakfast with peas and a very small steak. No chicken portion and steak only 4oz though have to say was cooked beautifully . One of party had his usual liver and mash though we could see gravy looked a bit congealed and not the dark lovely usual. We gave feedback to Mike behind bar but don't think he believed us or wanted to accept any feedback that was slightly negative though to be fair he did say he was sorry if that was our opinion. Would return but bit more careful about what order.

3 of us Were away on business and found this brilliant restaurant while looking around in Newcastle. Found it to be one of the best Indian meals we had all had. The guys running the place were brilliant, tending to our every need The food was AMAZING. So much so we decided to go back the next night YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

Not good food girl in reception so moody Chip overcooked

Just purchased a savoury roll and meat n potato pie along with a fresh cream doughnut. Absolutely delicious. Pastry was perfect and filling very tasty. The doughnut was yom yom.

Fabulous place. Had a great night with friends. Very smart and clean very friendly staff. Look forward to going again 😊
