I tried a Sunday lunch. It was really quite nice, although a too much broccoli. Beef, potatoes, carrot and parsnip plus cauliflower cheese were tasty. I have tried weekday menus, such as sausage and mash, and they are not as tasty as the Sunday lunch I experienced. I once had trifle which tasted like rhubarb, which I wasn't keen on. The sausage seemed cheap. The restaurant is a good size, and accessible for disabled people and equipment such as wheelchairs. It is also clean and attractive. However, they do close early for food. Not a tea time venue.

Having visited Belong for afternoon tea on other occasions I was greatly disappointed with todays visit with friends. Sandwiches were bland and dry no effort had been made with the selection, grated cheese with nothing else, cakes were dry as if they'd been stored in the fridge for longer than they should. 1 cup of coffee no pot of coffee , 1 pot of tea, nobody came to ask if all was OK. Would not recommend and improvements need to be made.

My family and I visited Belong Bistro for my granddads 80th birthday. The bistro is clean, lovely, and a really relaxed and friendly place, especially for the older community. And most importantly, safe, with a real sense of community. My granddad, who is widowed, has been looking for a place to connect with other people, share stories and make friends in his spare time. Belong seems like the perfect place. The staff that worked at the bistro were great, really friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough. The food is homemade and really good value. We will definitely be coming back.

Visited with family for Dads 80th Birthday. The ladies were lovely, they provided a large pot of tea, good selection of sandwiches and a couple of bowls of chips. Nothing was too much trouble and very reasonably priced too. Absolutely fantastic and Dad loved it

What a lovely place with such lovely staff. Took dad to have a look with the idea he could go in the day (Dementia cafe). I feel happy he would be safe and very well looked after.

I’m sure it’s a great place, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, but it’s still closed to the public due to COVId. I’ll looking forward to trying it out soon

Urge anyone to think twice before placing a relative in this place my mum died last year spent 50k on care after she died no condolence card not even a sorry to be told get mums stuff out of here or going in the skip clothes not ironed after repeatedly asking ended up taking home ironing myself room not properly cleaned a heartbreaking experience made worse by their lack of care and compasion

This bistro is fabulous. The food is delicious, home cooked and very reasonably priced. Great place for lunch, morning coffee and cake or afternoon tea and cake. Can’t beat this bistro !

Belong looked after my mum in her final months until she passed away recently. The staff are lovely, kind and go the extra mile to care for the residents. First class.

Always splendid and delicious food before you're very eyes as you walk in reasonable prices too! sociable staff attached small free museum and free parking .

The food is kept warm by lamps therfore ruining any freshness there might have been, aslo this way the food is never warm enough, tried to tell the staff but they are not interested so for me try to avoid

I was at belong care home for a few months the staff that work on the households are lovely hard working and friendly the residents are lovely with some much life exsperiance and many many stories they are a joy to hear BUT the management needs to support the households a lot better especially when some of the households are understaffed the bistro is lovely with some great dishes again great staff it is a very nice place to retire to but due to the fact its newly opened they have got some teething problems i would rate it a 3

After visiting the Heritage Centre we had our lunch in the Bistro, that was 4 months ago and we have been back almost every week since. The food is excellent, a varied and changing menu. The Brunch is my favourite, a breakfast with chips, naughty but so very nice. It is great value too. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the clientele is a real life mix of residents and their visitors, workers, business people, those using the conference facilities, visitors to the Heritage centre and those like us who just come to enjoy lunch. The staff are super, really friendly, and the tables well spaced with comfortable chairs. They are moved around to accommodate couples, foursomes or large groups. As I said, real life. There is a pianist most Thursdays too. Facilities are immaculately clean and suitable for all. The parking however, is very limited. We park on the adjacent Lidl on Lower Street, their 2 hour limit is just right for lunch.

Today we came for afternoon tea as an early Mother’s day treat for the mother in law as we saw this advertised on the website. Belong you did not disappoint. Not only did the mother in law enjoy her surprise, the table was set up beautifully in Samuel Bells tea room but they put low music on in the back ground. What did it for us the most was how they also catered for our daughter who has major allergies so she could eat safe and in a safe environment. Today was wonderful as there isnt many places we can eat out without the worry of her having a reaction. This was a win, win day all around. Thank you!

Was recommended the venue by my son and had a Sunday morning breakfast today. Venue is lovely and clean, prices are very good and service is fast and friendly. The big breakfast we had was both freshly cooked and very tasty. We’ve booked for Mothers day and will definitely be eating here again

I wish I could live here!...I've just attended a funeral reception here...staff...excellent...buffet...second to none...location, faultless.

My friends and I met here last week and we ordered the cream tea with coffee. Absolutely delicious and the best coffee we've tasted in a long time. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic day we have had. I took some clients here today for an early, 3 course Xmas lunch. The food was delicious, literally could not have been better, and the service was second to none. All staff were so helpful, friendly and polite. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’m already looking forward to returning again and again

Met with friends for a light bite and a coffee. Nice spacious bistro - very friendly staff - pleasant atmosphere - also had a breakfast on an earlier visit - very nice !

My friend and I were here on Tues 4th Sept. My friend had been before with her mom and said how nice it was. I wasn't disappointed!!

My daughter brought me here for afternoon tea as a lovely treat with a trip down memory lane, as we both used to come dancing here when it was Maxines night club.

Very freindly staff, the food from the bistro is amazing! Recommended to friends and family.

We went here for afternoon tea for 2 there was no choice of sandwiches to have but the cakes were lovely.. we sat outside ..glad we did .. as there were Removel men taking furniture through the cafe wardrobes beds and mattresses. Not good to me as people were eating.. the staff that served us were very slow .. I'm not sure they knew what they were doing 3 serving and just one cook ..

No point leaving a review here as if the company doesn,t like it, they have it removed. Best going to the press to report that the manager of this care facility is very deeply offended by disability. Totally discriminitive. Will be taking my review to the press and also reporting this issue to the Cqc.Anyone that is appaulled by anyone with a disability should never be allowed to take charge of a facility for disabled people.
