Lovely atmosphere. Brilliantly ran by the lovely Dean and Cristoff.. the lovely Silla brings a homely vibe. A welcoming vibe where everybody is welcome. The new decor gives a fresh feeling. We look forward to coming back on a regular basis, we are always made to feel so very welcome, couldn't ask for a better local

Spent a couple of lovely Sunday afternoons which turned into evenings here, especially the day my daughter was 18. We had Sunday lunch (6 of us) which was lovely and great value for money all the staff were amazing and my daughter enjoyed her big day. Also have great entertainment on on a Saturday evening and it is a really good atmosphere. Great staff, good food, and good atmosphere in clean well decorated pub.

Absolutely brilliant pub with great staff. Chef deserves a medal! Always feels friendly and homely everytime we come and since the new landlords took over, more and more people are coming in. We have been coming in here for two years now and it only gets better and better. Our friends say the same when we bring them. I feel so lucky that our local pub feels this way. Well done all! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Friendly pub, good food, real ale and close to a picturesque canal

Went there on short notice & managed get a table for 2, the lady was lovely & it's beautiful inside, the food was absolutely amazing

This place is a hidden gem. I was staying at the Travelodge down the road (20 min walk) and would normally look for a local Wetherspoons to get fed and watered, but there was nothing within a decent radius. I'm so glad that I found the Swan Inn on Google Maps. A hello from the bar staff and a real fire 🔥 (it was mid-December) was the first thing that welcomed me. As a real ale drinker, I wasn't disappointed. Not as much selection as 'Spoons but nevertheless a good selection. Again, I wasn't disappointed. Proper hand pulled ales at reasonable prices. Moving onto the menu, a massive selection of traditional pub grub. I opted for the 'Ultimate Burger' and I was bowled over with the quality of the properly cooked meat (not overdone) and real hand cut chips (that came with a tasty dipping sauce). I really didn't want to leave and wished that the Swan was my local. If I am ever in the area, I will definitely be popping back in.

First time in the swan for food,certainly won't be the last it was absolutely lovely, staff lovely and very friendly,food was amazing chips are delicious. 😋Definitely recommend the swan will be going back.

Last minute decision to go for Sunday lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Liz and her staff were brilliant as usual and the food was excellent, piping hot and fabulous portions. We had roast turkey and roast beef respectively complete with choice vegetables, followed by sweets!! Can highly recommend👏👏

The Swan is a proper local pub, full of character and characters. The beer is spot on, the food is good pub food, all served by friendly staff.

Great staff and service, we visited this pub this evening with our children looking for something to eat , it was nearly 9pm but our travel lodge had nothing to offer. The pub had stopped serving food however the lovely sue behind the bar and help from the locals sorted us put with a local takeaway minutes away, said we could dine in the pub but time was getting on. Great service from sue thank you, take away was lovely too x

Me and my brother went in for food and the pub looked lovely.the food was amazing we had burger and chips and I could tell the chips was homemade .the service was great with the bar staff very helpful and polite.defo come again

Well what can I say about the Sunday lunch I just had... had worse but had a lot lot better. Two Aunt Bessie's Roast potatoes, a stuffing ball that was bigger than the Yorkie it was served in. Mash that hadn't seen any milk or butter.. Veg so soft it was moments away from being a soup. The Beef was tender but over cooked, all in all it filled a gap but wouldn't bother to have it again. Lady customer at the bar was Rather Gorgeous so not all bad.

Really friendly tadf, service is spot on. But the food isn't homemade, which is such a let down, you can tell its frozen & jars. My dad also spotted 9 microwaves in the kitchen. Such a shame. I would return but for a drink only.

!!!! Edit... April 2022...!!!! In their 'infinite wisdom' the brewery have decided to take real chips off the menu, imo a daft decision because that's one of the reasons ppl use this friendly pub, also not many pubs in this area do real chips either. Something to do with not being able to display the calorie amount. The new menu displays the calories. I and other regular uses are very annoyed. Im that gutted I'm thinking of organising a petition !! 😉🤣 Ps still a very clean and friendly pub 👍 Lovely food including 'real'chips 😊. Friendly and helpful staff. Disabled facilities and (well behaved) dog friendly too. Good all round pub. Been today 21/7/2020. Very impressed with the changes due to the virus. Diane looked after us really well. Table etc disinfected before we sat down. Toilets cleaned after each customer, all staff wearing masks.plenty of sanitiser and a one way system. Felt really comfortable and safe eating there. Use it or lose it 😁 👍👏👍

New menu is fab 😋 burgers are my favourite so far and the skinny fries 🍟. Looking forward to the jubilee party and sampling more of the new menu 😋 x

great pub, lovely staff ,used to be best chips in area ,eat there at least once a week, now changed to frozen chips ,which are terrible and leave an aftertaste ,not acceptable ,other customers not too impressed either, put it right, please revert back to...

We really enjoyed our visit. Good food well prepared, and a really good range of dishes on the menu. I really appreciated the selection of vegetarian and vegan options too.

Great Sunday lunch and good ale

Booked a table for 1pm for Sunday lunch to celebrate my sister's birthday choose the Swan because we'd had Sunday lunch here before and enjoyed it albeit was a few years ago looking at the reviews it still looked good how wrong could I be. To start they had run out of Turkey although on their website it said chicken so was left with just the choice of beef.The beef was a cheap cut ( Brisket ) the potatoes were instant smash the veg was all frozen including the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings the gravy was instant and tasteless and to be honest the whole meal was. Moving on to the desert we all choose the apple pie and custard the pastry and there was alot of it was soggy but the custard was lovely. If your used to frozen meals I guess it wasn't to bad but when you go out for a meal you'd expect at least the potatoes to be real. However the staff were very friendly and the pub was very clean and comfortable however how a chef can call himself a chef when its all out of packets or frozen is beyond me. Very disappointing won't be going back for Sunday lunch.

Our family of 15 had Christmas lunch 2021 and it was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection the staff worked really hard and very attentive the day was great and we've booked again next year l!

Liz, Nigel and Sue always provide a warm welcome for NWS Community First Responders. We often have our meetings in the pub because we know we will get great food and excellent service. We were delighted to resume our meetings after a long break (covid) and try he set up they have in the pub offers a safe and yet friendly environment. Spaced out tables and access to hand sanitizer, additional outside seating and perspex screens around the bar gives both staff and customers a covid safe environment in which to unwind and yet still enjoy socializing.
