Wow Karen and the team were excellent. A group of 14 went for lunch. I ordered the sizzler chicken and steak. It was beautiful. And a great price to go with it. All meals were hot, well cooked and nothing was too much trouble . Polite and professional staff. See you all soon

Recently went to the Wulstan with my partner and daughter...Lovely place..awesome staff and so so welcoming! Food was out of this world amazing...I had a double old faithful...my partner had a single old faithful and my daughter (Who was also given a crown by a staff member) had chicken dippers..chips n peas..all super yummy! #Noice. The desserts were mind blowing!! (That good!) I had fudge 🍰 my partner had a "Pump my brownie" and my daughter Build your own Sundae... "To all the staff at the Wulstan....your amazing and beyond!" Lovely spacious, seating is plenty,ordered our food with ease, either the app or up the bar ,food soon came it was lovely, steaks cooked to order,had cocktails, staff very friendly

We really like The Wulstan! We've been various times now and barely had any issues! The food is always delicious, the service is great, and the speed of service is spot on! Only problem we've ever had is when we took our daughter. They served salad with dressing (this wasn't in the description on the child's menu) and burnt garlic bread which the lady rolled her eyes at us for when we asked for them to be changed 😬 Besides this one experience though, all other visits have been super positive and it's now one of our fave places to dine 😋

We attended the Sunday night quiz, which is good fun with a nice atmosphere

930 note on pumps last orders 1030 due to maintenance. 945 lights on bar turned off. 10.20 outside waiting for taxi. Staff gone and locked up before 1030. Not my planned saturday birthday night.

Had a lovely meal here. Great value particularly if you download the Sizzling pub app and ‘earn’ discounts each time you visit. Staff are attentive and gave great service on a very busy day. We will be back!

Food was what you’d expect from a chain pub - alright, nothing special but certainly all edible! The quiz was fun, with an entertaining quiz master, lots of space and decent bar area and outside. Cheap and cheerful!

Honestly this place is wonderful, such a classic feeling pub with good food and great vibes. Always come here with my family when they're in town. Those steaks are to die for.

Luke warm food, waited ages for it, seems to be another establishment sending out takeaway orders. Not enough bar staff at one point the queue for the bar was nearly out the door.

Fantastic place for food for all family children an adults menus r very good with verity of choice

Quick, friendly service, there were 13 of us in total and unlike other venues the food came out all at the same time and was excellent, no complaints what so ever.

Food was great but steak was a little over done

The food was edible but only just. Sirloin steak was tough, the frozen chips were overdone and the egg was overcooked as well. Don't know if there had been an incident amd staff were in morning, as not very friendly, no smiles and no asking if meal was okay... looked like their hated working there tk be honest. Manager was hostile when asked to wipe our table as sticky... we fetched condiments and then was told we didn't need them and was removed. Would not recommend this place and also reported to the chain.

Great atmosphere but the choice of food I had this time was not worth the money. It was the giant gyros, mostly onions with a thin layer of dry chicken and a few chips. I’ll stick to burgers.

Always guaranteed a good meal, it's not gourmet, though you definitely shouldn't expect that for the price, but it's always decent, tasty and reliable. Staff are always friendly and accommodating and there is some lovely outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine.

Not been for a while so decided to treat ourselves to tea. Chose items from the Sizzler section of the menu. Beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. Will definitely return. P.s. the free cocktail was delicious

Nice food at a good price, friendly staff and good atmosphire. Was raining on the day we visited but theres a big beer garden which i imagine is great in the summer. Will visit again.

Deb & her dedicated staff are so kind & make your meal so comfortable. Strict Covid guidelines are adhered to making all safe. A warm welcome and pleasant experience every time.

Couldn't have a drink as I was driving. Had the large mixed grill. Meal came in a reasonable time, plat was warm good sign, didn't notice that the meal didn't come with eggs, which we have visited at the same group that had. The steak was quite small with 1 side all fat and the other grisaille. My wife said she didn't enjoy as much as the last time we visited. If things improve we will visit again.

The food was fabulous, the pub is looking tired now ,the toilet were clean ,but the bottom of the taps looks horrible and dirty.

It was my 51st birthday and everyone and i do mean everyone was absolutly amazing, i can never fault the staff, food or drinks in that place its always spot on definatly the best sizzling pubs pub ive ever been and will ever go to. Shannon ashley deserves a lot of respect shes a complete star along with the rest of her staff. Thank you also to the chef who did my brownie.

Regularly have The Old Faithful burger (chicken breast doubled up). Always hot, bacon and cheese also on top, nice cheap meal, nice staff.

Another lovely visit, warm and cosy.

Stood patiently at the bar as it seemed a young lad was training a young girl .. however we had a table booked we spoke to the young lad twice to be ignored although he was training a new girl he was to busy telling her what to do .. then just did it himself anyway .. I ordered food and 2 drinks .. when back to the table one of the drinks had a crack in the glass, I took it back to the bar to which the lad very closely checked and said he would put the drink into another glass, I said I would prefer a new drink .. what if glass had come away and was in the drink, with this he went to speak to a lady in a grey top, I assume a manger, he said please go sit down and will bring one over to you, the drink was a diet bottle coke no ice with a slice of lemon, the lady bought it over full of ice, so was told it was no ice, she took it away to come back saying she couldn't get all the ice out .. so the drink was contaminated by ice which I particularly didn't like .. a friend with us asked for med rare steak which was rare, it was replaced eventually but by this time she had eaten everything else .. been a long time since I've visited the wulstan and think it will be a long time before I visit again

Arrived with a party of 6, incredibly warm welcome upon arriving. Every member of staff we spoke with were so lovely, my family members enjoyed their food, it was so delicious and we will definitely be back again, one of the nicest restaurants/pubs we have visited. 5 stars.

Went for a meal for husbands birthday and it was amazing. I had a steak with Diane sauce, he had the dip and cluck and little one cheeseburger. Couldn't fault it at all. Service as quick and the food was phenomenal.

Yet another casual evening meal with friends. The food gets better & the SPECIAL PUDDING always goes down a treat. Whether you want a snack meal or a hot meal there is always something to entice the pallet. The Team of staff run by Debbie are all so welcoming & go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. There's no rush to select your meal & the food is always cooked fresh. The clients visiting Wulstan go from strength to strength....this proves all the staff work together as a great team.

We used The Wulstan as a meet place for a kids football team as we were going for a run around the marsh. We had planned to go in for a drink and food after as it was opening at 12 when we were finishing off. A vile lady came out telling us to get off the car park it’s private property. I explained we are a kids football team and that we were all local. She didn’t care she said there is no room for customers in which I asked what time they opening as they weren’t opening for another hour and being local I can tell you there was still plenty of spaces for the amount of customers they would be expecting for 12pm. Just a vile rude person who has no thought for the local community. 13 kids and 10 adults they have lost out on our custom as the lady wouldn’t allow us to park there for the hour they were closed. Great business thinking! This was a one off meet.

We went yesterday (25th/12th) and we had the most amazing christmas dinner ive had for at least the last 4 or 5 years. We couldn't fault anything at all thats why i gave it 5/5.

The food is good value for money; the staff are friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately the toilets are not great as the hand dryers do not work and there is no paper hand towels, so you have to use toilet tissue to wipe your hands. Please note, it is like this on previous visits too

booked it for my 20th birthday, they gave us our own area and a long table so everyone is together as it was a party of 20. i have nothing to complain about, the drinks are reasonably priced, a gin and lemonade and a Peroni came to £8 which i though was fair, they asked for pre orders just to do the shop and when your there you order separately which made it easier to pay for your own food. the only thing that stopped it being a 10 was we did have to take 1 plate back as the mash was cold but as there was 20 people and there was only 1 wrong plate i feel they did really well. well done all staff on that day from 7pm you did amazing...

Nice food but i didnt appreciate the black hair that was stuck to my onion rings .. ........reply to your reply no it wasnt haha because i didnt even tell staff you seemed very busy and i didnt want to burden staff with a black hair stuck to my onion ring so i removed the onion ring eoth said hair on from my plate and carried on eating

Well! another beautiful meal in the Wulstan. The weather was cold outside but the our meal was served in a lovely warm atmosphere. The staff yet again were so welcoming & went out of their way to make our visit one to remember. All the staff were so friendly & the food was absolutely amazing. The Wulstan is my local pub & would totally recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work to all at the Wulstan.

Excellent service all round! Nothing was too much trouble. Personal needs were catered for and adaptations made. The children’s breakfast was a great option and just the right sized portion. Great choice of dishes available at a reasonable price. Staff work extremely hard and make you feel very welcome….

The staff were wonderful and friendly, service was great too. Sadly the food was awful, chewy grisly steak and foul tasting mushrooms. Won't be going again, very disappointing.

Atmosphere was dead when i stopped for a quick pint with the mrs and friend, attitude was average, parking was appalling, but good to stop for a quick pint if passing through.

Came here for a funeral wake Place is dirty daughter dropped something on floor picked it up and carpet was filthy along with table legs not been cleaned in months window sills filthy with dust and dead insects and curtains have holes in them!!! Food splattered on ceiling and walls!!! Staff disorganised and bitching about each other in front of customers and one blonde haired elderly bar person even shouted ‘fu@@ off’ to someone on the car park which has kids and elderly people on it could not believe what I was seeing and hearing like a comedy sketch from phoenix nights in fact more like a 70’s working mens club than a family pub Thank goodness I don’t have to come back to this place Only goodish thing was the food and the locals who were friendly but other than that the place is truly awful

34 people attended my Retirement 13/10/23 The Landlady Deb felt more like a friend addressing all my requirements and requests so that the evening went according to plan communication been key for such a large order All my party were made to feel welcome my request for a meet and greet table with drinks was provided and set out nicely All staff were attentive to our needs questions and requests The meals were very good value tasty and all 34 came out piping hot and on time well done chef and the Wulstan Team headed by the landlady of the year in my opinion I will be returning regularly and my party will be recommending and considering future celebrations here highly recommended thank You all for making my evening special Angie x
