Arrived on Thursday for quick bite to eat and was surprised with how beautiful the decor and how friendly the staff especially the one with the beard and curly hair who went out of his way to help us with the menu options Food was lovely and price was perfect too

The fish and fries were crispy. No queue and decent portions. Curry sauce was nice but gravy wasn't the best. It was watery and the server had to give it to us in a cup so it didn't "soak through the container." Kind of wish we picked a different sauce for our loaded fries which were otherwise pretty good.

Full of character,very quaint & quirky & maybe needs a little updating here and there but clean & comfortable so a very enjoyable stay,hosts very welcoming & friendly,beware of glass front door my husband walked straight into it!.Some rooms could perhaps be noisy as beside main road.

We really enjoyed our meal here. We were greeted in a very friendly manner & engaged in conversation. The room where we had our lunch was full of books & old photos of The Castle - which we loved. The food was reasonably priced & not too bad.

Lovely pub, great staff and atmosphere we went as a family and had sunday lunch it was delicious and we all enjoyed it especially the roast potatoes. Highly recomend that you check this place out and try there food you wont be disappointed.

We order are food it came a few minutes later and they gave us the wrong order and we waited 10-20min then he said he won’t give it us utter disaster

We visited the pub as we were staying on the campsite close by. The Land Lord was friendly enough but the place looks like it has seen better days, plants on the window cills with cobwebs on and lots of plastic flowers! This place could do with a good spring clean inside and out particularly the ladies toilet which was black around the edges. We didn’t eat here, there were people eating but for a weekend it was empty, such a shame!

Rang at 4:30 to ask if they can do a collection for 5 and they said they could, popped in at 5 and they had it ready for me. Ordered the Camembert and it is amazing! Large quantities and it is so lush I love Camembert! Super hot! Good price! Wish I could have this all the time!

Dreadful food for what I paid for, Over cooked chicken and stone cold which I end up eating while it took 7 mins for the other five people on my table food.
