No choice on site, no competition so this is what you get. Mediocre, to say the least. Chips are cardboard Bland’s and we had sausages which were shrivelled and more like rock! Peas were tasteless. If you’re on your way back to your chalet and had a few drinks, this will probably be ok for you but other than that, it’s not that good.

Nice service, busy at night. Food not the best, clocked in old oil.

I asked for a large cod and chips, It was horrible, my cod looked like an Asda smart price on a bad day, I could easily cover it with one hand, batter was soggy and although a decent sized portion of chips they were also terrible.... I left half my chips, if I wasn't hungry and this was my last chance to eat I wouldn't have eaten any...

Up there with some of the worst chips I've ever had. Ordered two chips, gravy and a much peas. Should be quite simple. Chips were under cooked and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. Portions were on the small side. I'd advise venturing into Minehead if you can. No doubt a better fish and chips in the town.

Chips were fried frozen chips not traditional at all.. really not nice.. my parents had fish and said that it wasn't fresh and they didn't enjoy it.. wouldn't return, shame really as staff seem friendly.

The fish was solid.. Could hardly chew it! It was dry and hard looks like it was frozen and reheated.. It was disgusting 🤢 The chips in fryer long enough! This may be the worst fish and chips I've ever had from a take away. I think I could make better at home and I can't even cook.

We went on the Thursday night after one of the shows, no queue, the steak and kidney pie is lovely, grandson had chicken and mushroom, cod bites for granddaughter and sausage in batter for my daughter, all food was really delicious, worth a visit.

Over priced food is not great and the service is none existent they just want your money and that's it

Although stated on the board the food was cooked vegetarian. Was informed by staff that it wasn’t and needed to check the QR code. Why would I need to do this if it states on the board VEGETARIAN?? Not happy!

We had haddock and chips and the kids had fishcake and chips and it all tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we're checking on our food will definitely be back

It a shame they no longer have dining in, only takeaway you eat it in there but no drink as didn't think in advance no cutlery as can't eat with wooden knives and fork 😕

Tiny and tasteless cod which was near £7, plus chips that were undercooked for a further £3! I don’t mind paying a little more for convenience and quality but due to constant long queue it was neither. Mushy peas were nice enough and staff were great, but in all the worst chippy I’ve ever been to.

Fish and chips were lovely and great value. Queue was massive as it was the end of the night but still remained friendly. Fish was the best I’ve eaten though! Asked if we wanted salt and vinegar so didn’t put any on ourselves, got back to accommodation and realised they’d forgot so chips were a little dry.

Fantastic value for money! We went as a table of 8 with 4 children. As we were two families they were more than accommodating to split the bill. There was a minor issue that the food came out at different times but this was quickly resolved by the manager. The place was clean and tidy but child friendly. Nothing was too much of a problem. Will definitely return again next time we stay

Disappointed about the chips being frozen chips and not fresh potatoes

Price is expensive which i gwt as it is within the resort but the quality was truely shocking chips that had been cooked at least 3 times like cardboard even our 4 year old.son wouldnt touch them and im affraid to say the rest of the food was the same batter so thick and over cooked it bent a prong on my fork and the fiah was chewy iv never experienced chewy fish before and i hope i never do again, so £25 quid for 3 people of which between us we probably ate about 6 mouth fulls before putting it where it belongs in the bin not a great start to our holiday.

18/09/22 After being given two small sausages as a replacement for a jumbo sausage I half expected the customer service to be limited much like it’s food, but when the lad at the till told me his name was on the receipt I was disappointed to see his number wasn’t there with it. Perfect fish and chips! Better than my local 250 miles away. Service and food were both excellent, food came out very quickly and was delicious.

Lovely little restaurant, with decent prices. Portion sizes were fair, and staff were helpful. Little bit of a wait for dessert due to a large party coming in, but dessert was lovely so we didn't mind. You can also get takeaway.

Very nice place , friendly amazing staff , Julia one of the staff she was lovely with the kids and offered them coloring sheets , they loved it . Nice decorations, lightings and atmosphere. Place is clean and well maintained. I used Bserve app. For ordering, it took few mins to serve the food . Prices are very reasonable taking in account you are on site in Butlins. Good portions , taste good , freshly made and tasty . We enjoyed our time there and definitely will do it again . Thank you

If you would like to try lose some weight quickly then this is the place for you. Not only does everything take 4 times as long as it should, the food is also undercooked and reheated so you can spend all night, like my family, fighting over the toilet! If you want to take things to the extreme and dice with toxic shock and possible hospitalisation then try the prawn cocktail. The curry sauce was nice though

Absolutely AMAZING fish and chips. Hubby had the cod and chips which looked freshly cooked and delicious and I had the scampi chips as peas which was equally amazing. All freshly cooked. Very clean restraunt with friendly staff. 10/10 would recommend

Only had chips at fish n chips, but they were GOOD. But this review is more for the Kiosk in Centre Stage, That i was made aware is run by the fish n chips manager, i waited for 35mins for a pancake as Ryan was working alone, serving, making hot dogs, pancakes etc, he was so apologetic, i explained it was fine but i was shocked at the 10-15 bar staff stood behind 2 bars that served about 20ppl that not one came to help or check if he was ok or if there was anything they could do. Ryan is a credit, he told us at 19yrs old hes currently going through the stages of promotion to become Manager, he absolutely deserves this 100% a lovely man polite apologetic an absolute star we even gave him the majority of our tokens you can give to a staff member that goes out their way, i only hope he gets the credit he so deserves. 😀

Had fish and chips from here. I didn’t realise that batter could be chewy but somehow it was managed here. Chips tasted like they had been reheated and were dry. We won’t be back, I’d go to Burger King instead

Ordered and paid for takeaway via the Butlins app, went to collect at the time stated and 45mins later, still no sign of the food. Terrible.

We went to butlins for the weekend and we had chips & curry sauce nearly every night the chips were amazing! I couldn’t fault them! The staff are lovely they could do with some more staff due to the young lady was rushed off her feet with the queues but overall amazing!

Resort was lovely and lots to do for the kids. I would reccomend avoiding the traditional fish and chips. They are not traditional at all. The chips are dry and are basically oven chips from a bag as confirmed by staff when asked. Very very disappointed as it was an end of the holiday treat each year that we come. COME ON BUTLINS, TRADITIONAL FISH AND CHIPS MEANS THAT!!!!

We joined the rather large queue after just arriving in resort in time for lunch. It did take while to be served and when we were, we were told the fish would be another 10 minutes. They really do need a better way to keep up with demand. It was quite expensive for the portion sizes. They gave us lots of ketchup, salt and vinegar which was great. We sat in the pavilion to eat and the fish and chips and they were all really lovely and everyone enjoyed. We would visit again.

As other people have mentioned, the portions are quite small. It's pretty expensive and isn't very good. The kids meal was ok and my wife's fish was tasty. I ordered a chicken burger but I doubt there was very much chicken in it. It had a flat thin slither of some grey pulp covered in breadcrumbs that tasted vile. I would avoid it and get some in town instead.

We had a quick takeaway as we were watching a show. Service was good and fairly quick. Food was very nice. But the fish was tiny for over £5 a piece. It would hardly qualify as a child's portion anywhere else. It's a shame they feel the need to over charge their guests.

When on holiday you must have some chips form here. There is always long line as it is really popular. Just waiting in the line just makes your mouth water. The chips are lovely and hot. Go here and treat your self and the family.

We ate from the takeaway shop about 3 hours ago the fish and chips and sausages tasted reheated and were luke warm the curry sauce well i can still feel it repeating on me! I'm very convinced I will throw up tonight I feel terrible ever since eating from their it has completly ruined my evening and the start to my holiday. I will never eat their again avoid!

Just returned from the ESF 2019 Butlins weekend with 35 in our party! 26 of us booked in for Saturday tea and Jon and his staff were excellent. Lots of age groups and different meals needed but everything came out the same time and tasted great. Thank for accomodating us, definitely worth a visit.

As a bunch of lads at the Shiiine weekender this was an easy option when finding something to eat. I had bought from the outside counter the night before and it was expensive but the food was incredible. We got a table and were served by very friendly staff who must have to deal with all sorts. Big shout out to Monika who was happy to have a laugh with us.

Massive portions from the takeaway queues get very big after about 10:30 at night so if your planning some supper on way home from bar you might want to get there earlier or you'll be waiting 15mins in queue There is a sit down restaurant also which looks pretty good value from the menu but it's opening times are very limited I'd imagine by summer months opening times will change but at the moment they are as the picture Don't forget to 👍
