VIlE food & staff weren’t much better Avoid! Basically paid £40 for 2 of us to have a microwaved rustlers burger. Was so solid I couldn’t even cut it in half.

Felt like i was chewing on an old boot! no colour, no taste, cold, extremely unappealing! Wouldn't give it to a wild animal.

We just had a perfect meal. Food was hot and cooked just the way we like it.

Popped in today for actual sit down quiet food away from the hustle and bustle of butlins. I went for the hunters chicken misses had a lasagne and the little one had chips sausage have to say I was happy with was nice FP. Cant say much more service was good food was nice

Very lovely staff very quick to resolve issues. Only warning i would put is that on neither the menu online or paper one says that the carvery’s are only available Wednesday and Sundays but other than that small issue lovely place brilliant customer service and a nice friendly face. Slow for food to come.

Decided on our 3rd night here at butlins to give this restaurant a go, menu seemed nice and prices weren't terrible. Husband had a steak and ale pie which he said was decent and my daughter had Sausages and veg which she said was also alright. Her meal was part of the kids package so got her a dessert as well. It took asking 3 waiter's for it to eventually arrive. I had a 10oz steak medium, my meal arrived well done so asked to have another, this was after waiting 40min for all our meals to arrive, it took another 15 or 20min for my new plate to arrive, this time the steak was medium but chewy as anything to the point I couldn't finish it plus I didn't get my tomato or onion rings. They decided to just load half of my plate with fries instead. At this point I couldn't be bothered complaining again. It looked like a few people were having problems that night, my husband asked for the manager, she decided to not visit us or check if everything was OK. All in all don't recommend, not worth the money. We shall try elsewhere tomorrow.

We visited this establish earlier this month, and the service was good, especially by 2 members of staff Marc and Malcom they went out there way to help, we will definetly going back there on our holiday next year.

Came here in between shows. Food came within around 2 mins of ordering. Ordered two chicken burgers and onion ring sides. Chicken was steamed (as described by the manager) as they cannot grill it. Chips were cold as if been cooked hours ago. Onion rings were soggy. Left feeling hungry and disappointed that we wasted our money here. The orange juice was the only saving grace.

First night in Butlins and this was by far the worst meal we’ve eaten in god knows how long. I cannot believe the standards (or lack of) they are operating at. Medium cooked Steak & chips ordered - steak was so well done it was inedible and worse than tyre rubber. I’ve never known chips to be so vile. Tasted soggy and warmed up. Kids pasta was also vile, sticky and dry. Explained the issue with the steak and the staff offered a reheat?! Why would I want my now well done steak reheated even more? Was offered an exchange meal so asked for the ultimate Katsu curry, only the simple one came out. Tasted like a nuked microwave meal. Upset tummy followed after eating this. The whole meal cost £80 and I left hungry and now unwell. Absolutely shocking and such a shame to start our holiday on a sour note.

Avoid if possible. Chilli that didn’t fill half the plate and served with no sour cream. Raw chicken in the chicken burger and frozen fish🥴the price of the food here you’d expect more

Just had the most shocking meal ever . Pulled beef chilli didn’t cover half the plate , stone cold and no sour cream. Chicken in burger uncooked and freezing cold, steak supposed to be well done but bloody. Fish so dark and tasteless . 6 meals cost £100 and not with half that. Advice is avoid the Beachcomber 0 out of 10

Went here as other restaurant on site closed . Waited forty minutes for food this was ok had been informed previous. Food arrived , mostly cold, the steak was inedible, pepper sauce cold as were the peas chips and tomatoe and mushroom , waitress came to check (very polite and apologetic) offered something else although as we were a party of seven and most of our food was cold , declined the offer of a different dish , asked for a refund , no chance beachcomber doesn’t do refunds , asked for manager who apparently was too busy to come over , totally unacceptable we left £££££s lighter and still hungry . Beachcomber sort your venue out , disgraceful .

Just grim. Food took ages, chips not cooked, burgers from school canteens, dark dirty oil etc. the Firehouse Grill much nicer.

Food came out warm like it had been sat a long time. 1 dinner we ordered was even cold. Had to send mozzarella dippers back to the kitchen as they had no cheese in them. Told the waiter, didn't seem too bothered. I imagine this is something he must hear all the time from his reaction. Don't think I will be returning

Food was pretty naff, everything was so over cooked and the fryers Definatly need a good clean, But Iv given a 5 * because the staff were great! Really attentive and made you feel welcome even when really busy.

Order #439 Decided to venture to The beachcomber Inn in between meal times due to their ‘kids eat for £1’ deal. Massively disappointed. The only reason the food was eaten is because it genuinely sickened me that for food priced so high, that it was of such a low quality. Hunters chicken had hardly any bbq sauce. Chips were cold. All the burgers (4 on this order 2x kids and 2x adult) had a strange chemical taste. Also FYI…these were big standard fairground grub burgers. Literal carpet burgers being sold here. Steer massively clear of this establishment..unless you like watery daiquiris and bizarre bargains.

Go there for breakfasts often. Mark is a very friendly and helpful member of staff who keeps us coming back. Wide variety of breakfast buffet items that seem to have changed every time we go there. Food quality is average but enjoy that it's all you can eat. The opening times seem to change a lot, but normally are around 8 or 9 o clock in the morning

Awful bar staff do not work on common sense people waiting oh il change boxes in machines the serve customer slow at making cocktails food take over half hour even for a bowl of chips If this bar put effort into the staff it would be really good polar area is amazing garden area is lovely just staff let it down, when I worked on bars common sense serve drinks even rounds for people instead of thinking I need to top up juice machine.

Waited 45 minutes for stone cold chicken burger. If you can call it chicken it was so processed. Certinly not 'straight off the grill' more like straight out of the freezer. £10.99 and only got my food after askimg a waiter. Couldn't eat my food. Do not recommend.

Waited 45 minutes for barely cooked chicken burger and cold chips. Said it came with mayo but no mayo. Cost over £10 but was poor quality frozen chicken in a circular shape. Don't waste your money. Would have got much better quality in Minehead town and quicker to walk to wetherspoons.

Ordered food and cocktails, food came before the drinks. We enquired about the drinks and waited another 10 minutes for them. When they finally arrived, the lady didn’t say one word to us, not ‘a sorry for the wait’ or anything. We had nearly finished our food at this point. Prices don’t reflect the quality of the food unfortunately.

I have been to this one and the Bognor Butlins one, and this one is poor in comparison. It is pub grub, i was expecting cheap and cheerful not setting the bar high for a gourmet meal. However, this fell massively short in our expectations. Tables and menus sticky, tables seemed to be taking a long time to clear despite lots of staff looking very busy, that isn't sarcastic they really were busy but just not sure they have a handle on keeping on top of it all. The children's menu lists buttermilk chicken strips. These were nice enough but definitely more of a southern fried coating, which was then too spicy for my little ones. No allergen menu available to look at was told to find the QR code, which is fine for me as i am able, but someone not very tech savvy or without a smart phone is then stuck. BServe app didnt have any space to mark for allergies either and usually in other restaurants we are advised to order with a manager and one is sent over however no obvious manager was on shift and the app indicated we wouldnt have a problem with the items we chose. Prices are reasonable, especially in an on-site convenience restaurant. Family of 4 was about £50 including a drink each. Food itself: all our portions of chips were overcooked and not particularly fresh they had started to shrivel a bit, which seems to indicate re frying or being abandoned under heat lamps for a substantial amount of time. Our mains were both burgers, which were not very warm and had several items from it missing. This was rectified by bringing the missing items out, but even those fresh from the kitchen were nowhere near hot. Overall, it's not great, and we won't be returning.

Absaloutely shocking food was FREEZING Mac and cheese baby portion £9.99 just drowned in disgusting sauce, ultimate fresh fish and chips £15 a fish piece from Aldi grey n soggy ! 😳 terrible service spent £60 manager didn’t even offer refund other customers in here complaining everywhere ! Genuinely concerned for others commenting that the food is fantastic.

Called in around 4pm. to check times and see if we needed to book. Met by a lovely gentleman who informed us that the venue closes at 8pm and no booking necessary as its first come first served. We went back at 7pm and were told to sit wherever ever we wanted. After reading the menu and looking forward to the Ultimate steak on the menu. We approached the , ar gave our table num, er and began to order to be told they are not serving anything off the main menu or deserts as they are closing at 8 and it's cavery only. As we were hungry we decided to have the carvery at £13.99, when we approached the counter one of the chefs came out and was very pleasant and made conversation I decided to have a bit of both meats (gammon & beef) I had a selection of what was fresh veg and gravy so took the meal back to my table with my friends as I began eating we realised every thing was freezing cold. When we complained, the member of staff at the bar told us there is a microwave at the rear of the restaurant we could use to warm it up. One friend went and warmed up his meal but didn't end up eating it. Not even an apology or offer of a refund. Disgusted, we ended up not eating and left the restaurant. And warned as many people walking in as would listen.

Went for the curry buffet on Tuesdays and was pleasantly suprised, I wouldn't travel here for the food but I'd happily eat here again when visiting butlins.

I would recommend this place for anyone to go for food with friends family and children, all the staff was polite well manade friendly and the food was excellent and tasty and it also melts in your mouth and good value for money.

Waited a long time for food when it came it was cold I had a chocolate brownie title was warm chocolate brownie and that was cold to an the portions were tiny never again

During our stay at Butlins this year we opted to eat the majority of our dine around meals here. The breakfast options were great as were the unlimited hot and cold drinks. The evening menu was great with plenty of options for adults and children. The staff on both morning and evenings were attentive and friendly. We are looking to returning next year.

This one staff dumped all my food on the table no words came out of her at all she just walked away then tried to take our money lates away when we weren’t even finished.Our apartment was discussing because we had the biggest infestation of bugs ever seen it took over 2 hours for someone to see us about it and another hour for them to move us to another apartment some staff are very rude but others are very polite and friendly. The prices for some meals are unbelievable and totaly bot worth the price we will never come back to this butlins resort as for it was super disappointing and we didnt even get any sort of perks like free meals for the day for our troubles i most definitely do not suggest going here ever. (WORST HOLIDAY EVER!!!)

Worst breakfast I've had in my life. Food quality is poor and everything microwaved. To have a nice breakfast, I took the family outside the Butlins area. Total disgrace

Absolutely horrendous, had the Saturday night 'all you can eat curry ' Avoid, microwave meal for one from your local supermarket is probably better than what they are serving out for nearly £14 a head Absolutely disgusting, don't get get drawn in by the kids eat for a quid either coz that a heap of s..t too

Had a family meal whilst on holiday bought the carvery very expensive and the food wasn’t great and my daughter and her boyfriend had to share the last piece of chicken my daughter complained and they said they would bring us out another piece of chicken even though we had been told there was none left w but the piece of chicken never came we left in the end no one ate all there carvery and we was nearly £90 lighter for 5 people

Poor experience at this place. Visited for the Mexican "buffet". Total choice of two mains with no vegetarian option (despite the menu stating there was). Nothing mentioned when paying so had to get a refund and choose something from the regular menu. Thr two options, on the alleged buffet, we're enchiladas and chilli/rice. Not exactly a buffet! The nachos were just cheap tortilla chips. Very poor effort and was the worst meal we had at the resort

We decided to eat here after hearing others on the resort recommend it for dinner as they also have a park outside for the children. We ordered our food at the bar which to be fair did arrive very quickly, around 15 minutes after ordering. I ordered a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium/well, but when I cut into it (with a normal knife as they had no steak knives) it was oozing blood. I asked if they could change this and the waitress took this and told me they would sort it, 10 minutes later it came out still the same just a litter bit warmer so I just left it and complained. My sister ordered lasagne and garlic bread which she said was cold and stodgy. Everybody else did enjoy their meals. The pie was excellent and the burgers were tasty. However, we waited 30 minutes for our desserts (ice cream for the children, who were getting agitated) and sticky toffee pudding. We asked the waiter twice when they were coming as we had been waiting half an hour, and he said he would check and ask the kitchen. How does it take 30 minutes to bring out some ice cream... The ice cream finally arrived and they had gotten it wrong as my child doesn't like chocolate ice cream. We complained again and asked the staff to leave it as he was getting bored of waiting and wanted to go and play. My sister's sticky toffee pudding was cold, again and my father's came with ice cream instead of custard. When we went to the till to complain, for the third time, there were several other families also complaining and asking for their money back as they also had to wait over 20-30 minutes for their food. I wouldn't mind but it wasn't overly busy as we went earlier to avoid this having two young children with us. The staff wasn't overly helpful nor apologetic. I wouldn't recommend this place, nor would I return if we were to ever go back to Butlins Minehead.

Food was served cold and 1hr late since ordering it. With a autistic son who was sensory overload by the time food finally came but tasted horrible as we complained but wasn't taken seriously. Don't waste your time here.

I walked to this place specifically to ask if they offered the main menu on a Sunday and was told yes. After queuing to order, I was then told they don’t do it on a Sunday. And the “kids eat for £1” is only valid when you order from the main menu. They are crooks and I won’t be coming back.

MINEHEAD Our last night we booked here as last year it wasn't an option for an evening meal and we were looking forward to it. Our booking was from 6.30. We arrived at 6.10. We ordered food at 6.49. The food we could not fault as was really nice when we got it. We had starters which arrived at a reasonable time. We were sat in a corner which seemed to be forgotten. No one came and collected our starter plates, we had to ask for our main meal - which if someone had collected our plates we wouldn't have had to do. We then had to ask twice for our dessert - other tables received there's before us even though we ordered. The service here has really let our stay down especially being our final night. Every other place we have been food has been brought out at a reasonable time and we were asked if everything was OK and if we were ready for the next course. Here nothing. Not somewhere I would want to return to in a hurry. Next visit we would probably visit here first just to get the disappointment out of.the way.

We arrived at the venue at 6pm and were told that there was a 45 minute wait for food. Never been that quick here so acceptable. Ordered drinks which were brought to the table really quickly. Looked through the menu and added the choices to the app and paid at 6.18pm. One hour later we asked where our food was and the man said it will be with you when ready. Just before an hour and a half passed I went to the bar and a young lady chased to see where the food was. She came back and said that they were just waiting on the Burger. I had seen people on other tables coming in getting served and having their meals before us and quite a few were food like ours. 5 minutes later the food came out and looked rushed and incomplete. I sent it back and asked for the manager who could only say sorry. I would not recommend this venue and if it was a business run anywhere else it would have gone out of business. In my opinion they forgot about our food and our table, there was no reason at all for others to have come in after us, ordered and eaten their food whilst we sat there. I will never use this venue again. If I could give no stars I would as it completely ruined the end of the day.

We ate here with our two toddlers, the main reason we loved it was the fantastic staff. The staff were so friendly and cheerful, they even entertained our 1 year when he started getting restless waiting for food. Service can be slow during busy times but this was explained to us when we arrived. Food was lovely and served hot. Nice variety of drinks available. We went back a twice during our stay and found it the best onsite restaurant.

We arrived as a party of 2 adults and 2 preschoolers (during the toddler week at Butlins) at around 5.15pm and were told there would be a 45 minute wait for food unless we ordered the curry buffet which we could eat immediately. Staff then insisted on charging our 1 year old for the curry buffet despite their own advert stating charging started at age 2 and the rather obvious fact that a baby is hardly going to eat much. On rechecking the advert and showing the staff the advert, the manager said we could either have a full refund (and eat elsewhere) or pay for the baby to eat the buffet too at the 2+ child rate! We pointed out the advert was false advertising and took our business elsewhere...their rationale...' The advert says that as it is assumed children under 2 don't eat curry'. Some unconscious bias training and training on false advertising definitely required here! Watch out for overcharging.

We ordered fairly soon after arriving, my step daughters meal came and had to go back as we had requested no dressing and it came with. Fair play they replaced it but it was supposedly char grilled and it looked like a cooked breast that had been slapped on the grill long enough to mark it. Meanwhile everyone else has almost finished their meals and mine hasn’t even arrived. Apparently this was because they were so busy even though the place was no more than half full and was even quieter when we ordered. When it eventually arrived the server was rude (this was not unusual at Butlins) and practically threw it in front of me. Although all the meals were fairly nice we all felt the portions were small. Won’t ever eat here again if we come back to Butlins.

Stayed on the butlins site for the first with my 3 year old son and was happy to find a pub with child play area at first impressions looked good price was ok for a pint etc but the main reason for 2 stars is that I was not allowed to order food for outside so my son could play and come and eat when he wanted so we had to venture out of the resort to find a place that could accommodate that every day might seem petty but trying to keep a 3 year old at the table to eat when there is a massive park outside yea ain’t happening

We went at about 5.15 pm on a Sunday.Very slow to be seated. It looked a big grubby, stains on chairs.My parents ordered the Cavalry which at over £12 I think was overpriced, especially as there was no Turkey available, only gammon and beef. After 30 mins my sons chicken burger and my vegan burger hadn't arrived.I asked a waitress if there was a delay on the food, she said no and checked with the kitchen.She returned and said it was on the way.When it eventually turned up my parents had already finished their meal, and my burger was stone cold which I returned.I got a refund at the till for my meal as we just didn't have time to wait and everyone else had finished eating. Will not eat here again when staying at Butlins.

Came here for our last evening meal before coming home, bar service was slow for our drinks which sadly came halfway through our meal despite chasing. However food was served quickly, piping hot and was delicious! My partners steak was cooked perfectly, we ordered 3 desserts which again were delicious. Will definitely eat here again

SKEGNESS BUTLINS The food tasted great. Steak and Ale pie with chips and veg, Chicken Masala Curry with rice and na an. Children ate all of there food beans sausages chips / beef burger chips and peas / fish goujoions waffles beans. Desserts Apple Crumble and custard tasted amazing then when we went back the next day I had Apple Crumble with toffee and custard! We had food here 2 days in a week as it was so nice. Colin front of house was lovely and kind. Great kind service from all. Would highly recommend.

Potion sizes are enormous. I ordered an apple crumble and it was so big it seemed like a whole tree of Apples. Excellent!!!

Just had a bad experience carvery at beachcomber Inn food fell on floor turkey was crumbling staff serving food with out hair nets or hats picking up dirty plates then going on to serve without washing hands multiple people walking behind food counter

Tried to ask the staff a question about the allergy advice app and was rudely spoken too and rushed to make an order (question was 'why does it say plain ice cream has gluten in it?) Was told they couldn't say what we can and can't eat which was not the question we wanted an answer to will not be going back.

Lovely all you can eat breakfast. Great selection. Good value for money. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Also came here back in August. Have eaten here every day of our butlins holiday

Terrible food. Ordered a chicken burger, waited an hour for it. Bun was so stale couldn’t even swallow it. Also was supposed be served with salad and homemade coleslaw - had neither. Sent it back to the kitchen. By the time they sent it back out it had been 1hour 20 mins since we ordered (only one adult and one junior meal!) I literally couldn’t eat it, chicken was sloppy, bacon undercooked and bun equally stale as the first one, no salad or coleslaw again as they didn’t have any (but an hour and 20 mins after I ordered to tell me) They did refund the cost of that meal, which was the least they can do given I didn’t eat any of it, but given that they’d wasted most of my evening, I would have expected one of the drinks to be knocked off too.

First stay at Butlins Minehead, visited here the first evening approx 7pm, every single staff member friendly and helpful, from the chap seating us to Simon behind the bar. Little wait on the food but colouring and crayons provided to occupy little one. Food I feel was good value for money and filling. We ordered at the bar as wanted to pay cash. I would recommend ps pudding was delicious!!

Really bad! Obviously had no great expectations but still …. poorly Cooked steak, awful sauce, terrible chips. Kids couldn’t even manage the garlic bread. You’re Better off going to the Burger King

Why have you stopped doing regular breakfasts, Butlins is already full of buffet breakfasts with little choice for those who don't eat meat, eggs or dairy. They don't need another. What they do need is a decent vegan breakfast. I'm a grumpy bunny if I can't get a hot breakfast, so disappointed

Friendly staff with a a decent selection of meals available. Children’s play area outside with many benches and a photo opportunity with a large deck chair. Food was great and served quickly but our plates weren’t taken until our desert came out. Overall a good experience and would come back again.

Staff member on the door was rude. Stated we only wanted a drink and didn’t intend on having any food. Was told they were too busy serving those who actually wanted food. If we could find someone wanting to serve us we could stay, but we were better off going elsewhere

The food and salad was made fresh to order the restaurant was very clean. The staff was kind and quick at taking orders.

Only positive I can give for this place is the staff were super friendly and the drinks were good. We had a pretty bad experience regarding the food side of things. Steak was cold and tough, half the mixed grill was missing and my boys always polishes off a lasagne and they didn't even finish theres. Hopefully it gets better as it is a very nice inside but it's a NO and Avoid from me.

Buffet breakfast. It was all very nice the egg was a little over done but it’s a buffet. But WHY can’t we serve ourself? The staff were so unbelievably slow with a big que behind me and only one guy dishing up. Then he suddenly...

Long cue at bar staff standing around including manager, spoke to man or was saving me an asked why they standing around while big queue, he shrugged shoulders, I asked to complain to manager about issue and that's when he told him he was one...

Had lunch here as a day visitor. We had to wait ages to order, waited an hour for our food, and then my sisters sandwich was stale, and my chips were so stale they must have been reheated. It was the only part of our Butlins visit we didn't enjoy.

Waited over an hour for food with a 1, 6 & 8 year old. I had a chicken wrap and the chicken tasted off so I didn't eat it. My kids were that fed up we didn't even wait for their pudding which I had...

Pleasant enough internally & booths are a bonus for sure. However, the food was distinctly average, waited an hour and a half for one meal & the queuing system was pretty poor, often leading to exacerbated waiting times. That being said, it was a very good stay in Butlins overall.

Had the most delicious meal tonight 7pm,staff were amazing nothing too much trouble, the meet and greet gentleman was absolutely fantastic, we were a table of 9 including 2 toddlers so accomadating in all fairness would defo eatt here again, highly recommended recommend

We stayed in butlins for the last week and love the food and the service from the beachcomber inn always a friendly face like chloe and scott to brighten our day and have a chat with we go back every year one of the best things about butlins

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There were so many things wrong with our food order. For 2 tables of 6 (everyone was ordering seperately at the bar due to their app being down), they forgot to bring out 3 of the meals, and we had to return one of the lasagna's because it looked horrendous, as if it had been in the microwave for 10 minutes. The people who ordered burgers got theirs burnt to a crispy (how do you cook a burger wrong???). They also forgot to bring out a few of the side orders of chips. When I had to go up to the manager to say that something else was wrong with our order he replied with 'I'm busy, go and sit down.' We ordered 2 lots of dessert for the children's menu and they brought over 4 insisting that the extra 2 portions must be ours as they were paid for by us, but no one has ordered them and instead a different table had. All in all, long wait for food, wrong orders sent out, avoid the lasagna what ever you do (I wouldn't feed it to the dog), and the customer service is awful. Go eat somewhere else and actually enjoy your meal
