The best restaurants serving Default food in Ashburton and Buckfastleigh Teignbridge South West

We found this lovely little gem in Ashburton yesterday. We were looking for somewhere with a healthy menu and a bit of a vibe. We found it! The staff were lovely, friendly and the service was good. I had a wonderful salad bowl which was full to the brim with healthy, yummy food and a fresh dressing. My husband had the brunch option and said it was delicious. We will definitely go back next time we shop in the area. Thank you. x

We had a very delicious full english..very high quality local produce. The tea was served in a beautiful china teapot and china cups..will go back on our next visit to Devon for sure.

We had our wedding here this weekend and it was honestly the best weekend we’ve ever had! The staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. After the sad news about Keith we knew how hard it was for them all but they were amazing!! We want to do it all again. Our girls are lactose intolerant and they were so accommodating to what they could have and made them feel so special! Our whole family were amazed with the views and service aswell! We 100% recommend getting married here or even staying!!

Spending a week in Buckfastleigh.Booked an evening table,because the Globe was the only pub doing food.Although dining area was quiet,the food was great,plus some good ale as well.Staff were great and the locals were very friendly Ended up booking a table every night .My brother and I had a great week,thanks to the Globe Inn

Fantastic little pizzeria, great food, service and ambiance. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday though so check opening hours before you visit.

Had tea and coffee and cakes mid morning. Absolutely lovely. Returned for lunch and had tea and egg mayo granary bread sandwiches with baby salad. Again absolutely lovely. Staff were very nice and quick. Would highly recommend.

Always consistently good, nice people, good wholesome philosophy. Never had a 2nd rate anything here, food, drink, staff and service all superb.

been there several times because of the nice garden and pool table, staff and landlord are unfriendly, not very relaxing atmosphere. It is not worth it in the end, there are nicer pubs in the village.

After two visits we will not bother again. The landlord is rude and completely uncommunicative, one syllable answers. His attitude is one of owning his business outright he doesn’t need to bother! No food, no accommodation but could be a fabulous little place if effort wasn’t made with it! Only good thing to say is the music was excellent!!

Excellent food, service and reasonably priced. The chips are hand cut and the fish was a good. The curry sauce delicious. We will be back!!!
